I really, REALLY like the style all around! I like the mix of "keep killing to stay alive" and mark of the ninja-style side scrolling stealth. Probably my favorite game I've played so far!

Cool Game, cool Art direction is on point.
Nothing much to say, quite explanatory by playing the game itself. the game visual is crazy, challenging and fun. well played.
Almost perfect for a game jam. Art direction is incredible, blends very well with a cool audio to give an awesome mood. The concept of the game is very clever, even though I figured out that you could just rush through a level instead of trying hard a playing the way it is supposed to :p
But without that hack it is very cool to have to learn a levels to figure out what the best course of action should be.
Nice Game! I would have wished for a sound Menu where you can turn the sounds a bit down
Game looks stunning, sounds awesome and plays even better. Very nice entry
A great stealth game! But I'm too bad at stealth games to complete it... :dagger:
I got to the **ninja-shadow-boss-thing** and died repeatedly, so I stopped playing
**Visually amazing**! Congratulations!
Gameplay is fun, but sometimes it can be skipped by **rushing to the end door** and ignoring stealth completely _(hehe)_ ...
Loved the **enemy ambushes when the end doors started opening**!
Thanks for **providing a native Linux build**! I appreciated it!
@steffo Thanks for your feedback ! Yes you can rush to the end door, but sometimes it's better to reach the end with full life (I guess that's why you didn't beat the Ninja-shadow-boos-thing !) There is a audio clip for the harvesting, maybe it's not loud enough ?
Anyway that was a big challenge to finish this game and do some polish !
@efilheim Oh, you're right! My bad, for some reason I did not remember it :face_palm: I'll update my rating accordingly! :D
(You're my current highest-rated LD52 game so far, by the way!)
Was really fun and the mechanics were good! Overall great work
really liked the backgrounds :)
One of the most polished LD52 games I've tried so far. Audio and graphics are both amazing, and so is the "blood harvesting" core mechanic. It suits an infiltration-type game perfectly, and adds a lot of pressure on you (and you can easily balance the level design with the shadow gates, which are a cool find as well).
Well done to the team who made this!
Amazing job! This feels like a highly polished game even though it was made in such a short time. The only thing I noticed is that for larger levels the framerate dropped a bit, but not so much that it was bad. The controls feel very satisfying and are super precise which I like. I am a little conflicted on the movement speed though. I sometimes ran into enemies when going too fast (you can move an entire screen in like a split second at full speed). Maybe there should be an option to go slower to better "sneak" into the next area?
Overall a very nice entry to this jam and very much fun to play!
Looks and sounds great! Feels really polished for a game jam-game!
@thejan14 Thanks for your feedback ! Yes the performances are a bit bad. It's caused by how Godot 3 is managing lights. Next time I'll use the 4th version ! It's some kind of fast-paced game, you can go slower if you use the joystick of a XBOX controller. I'll keep that in mind anyway ! Thanks a lot for playing the game !
The game is one of the best I have tried so far. It has a real addictive element to it! The graphics and gameplay feel very polished. I had to try the final boss 4 times before I got it. Overall, a great achievement.
The concept was amazing and tied in really well with the theme. It also worked well with the gameplay giving the player the option to either go for the fights or wait till the enemies turn their backs and then harvest their blood. Having different types of enemies like the robots who are not affected by stealth also provided good variation to the gameplay. The controls were responsive and easy to remember, art and level design were brilliant and the music worked well with the game. All in all a great experience.
Good job - really cool pixel art and music, the art and audio matched perfectly with the vibe of the game. Movement was nice and smooth, and I really liked the harvest mechanic - it brought me back from the brink of death a bunch of times, I thought it was really innovative! Good difficulty level - I died a few times on most levels but none of them were unfair or unbeatable.
Really nice game. A great mix of the very familiar along with the new. Looked and sounded great. Once I realized that it wanted to be more of a puzzle platformer than an action game, that's when it really came together
I really like screenshots, but can you make a mac or web build? :(
A pretty enticing game that has it all - platforming, fighting, stealth and watching your life meter deplete slowly while you contemplate your choices. I died quite a few times, but that's because my preferred tactic is going all in and throwing myself on enemies where it's CLEARLY not the right strategy here. On the other hand, I outhopped a few of them and felt pretty good about myself :3
The graphics were extremely pleasant to the eye. I was afraid that scanlines might affect visibility in motion, but nope, you get used to them immediately. All those other special effects thrown on top of already solid pixel art make the picture look shamelessly good!
Also, Google Chrome freaked out on me trying to download the game file, but that's because it "can potentially be dangerous since it's downloaded rarely". Well, duh, that's because it was created just now? Stupid Chrome -_-
Awesome game! Art style, gameplay and music are very cool. I passed the game and had a lot of fun. The game reminded Celeste. I hope the game will be developed. Good luck to you!
Amazing game idea! The stealth mechanic really sells the whole playing as a vampire ninja theme. The graphics and sound also make it feel like an old school arcade game. The only nitpick I have is that you can often just run past enemies with no consequences.
Cool game! Very well combined gameplay with design and graphical informations, also movement is very smooth, nice one!
Really nice and polished game, well done ! I had some issue figuring out the exact distance where I could suck blood, and sometimes the ennemy still detects me and sometimes not, but even then the gameplay mechanics allowed me to improvise and avoid getting killed, so thats really nice. Great work :)
@adamsmccall Yes, the detection code isn't really well done and a bit buggy. :( Thanks for playing !
Also the game is gorgeous btw
Everything about this game is awesome!! The blood sucking mechanic is one of the best implemented I've seen so far :)
Had a bunch of fun, great mechanics and it made you have to plan things out a bit. Graphics are superb :v:
You game is so immersive! Perfect pixel art and fun mechanics! but there is a bug stopping me playing, this level if you press right at first, you will enter the outside of the level, please fix it! And I need restart button too! QQ图片20230111162048.png
Very well-made pixel art and music. Nice jump feeling. The distinction between enemies that can be absorbed and those that cannot is not so clear for me. And I can understand the door that takes time to open is restrictions on running through entire level, but I can't handle the three strong enemies rush to me when I just start play, even if I get the end as encouraged way. What if when you get undetected through the whole level, then the attack won't happen?
@bowen Thanks for playing and giving your feedback! I've just updated the itch.io version and it's now fixed. You can now use the Escape key to restart the level !
@maxlin Thanks a lot! Yes it's lacking a bit of details to spot that the ones without blood are robots! I really liked your idea of rewarding the player that way. That's now implemented on the itch.io version!
@blackoptics8 I'm happy that you really enjoyed the game, thanks for playing!
@svemir We're really happy with how the mechanic is implemented. Thanks for your feedback!
Awesome graphics on and great vibe to the overall feel of it. Everything fits together so well and feels rather polished, you guys are wizards. I enjoyed the gameplay even though I usually suck at these kinds of games, but managed to get further after some tries, it's quite addicting. I can see it being expanded a lot, go on with it if possible & motivation is still there~
Great work!
@svenerik Thanks a lot for playing the game and give this awesome feedback! I still have a lot of projects in mind, but yeah this game can be expanded and became some kind of Hollow Knight based on infiltration!
Really polish and fun experience! It's amazing to see you guys pulls this off considering the time frame. Stealth is not something you see that often and yours is a great implementation. Really looking forward for what come next, I hope you'll keep working on this project.
@paci Thanks for playing the game, I really enjoyed your game too!
Nice movement and jumping. It was fun to play). Even if the topic is not disclosed in any way).
The overall presentation here is great! The art is wonderful, the music is rad and the movement feels awesome. Being able to hit, dash, hit from the other side and repeat until they are taken out is so satisfying when I don't take a hit :P
Great entry! High marks!
Great game! The art and graphic effects were very good, and I really enjoyed the stealth mechanic. Great job!
Very stylish game, both visually and gameplay-wise! I really like the blood harvesting mechanic, it makes for a really unique take on this jam's theme. Speaking of jam, the music is also immaculately jamming. Really nice work!
Very good game, love the music and graphics
Very good game, excellent picture art, lack of some hitting effect, in short, it's a great game!
I managed to glitch through a door in the last level, which saved me some precious seconds on my depleting HP bar. Nice little game over all, I like the way you show the stealth areas.
@xeke-death Damn hacker! Glad you enjoyed the game!
@harmofish You're right, it needs more SWEET JUICE!
@joshedev Thanks a lot!
@luhuchiha Thanks for playing!
@langotriel I guess you're a ProG@mer now! Thanks a lot for playing and your feedback!
Real good one! Wish it had more levels.
Thanks @koboldskeep I wish the same!
Cool game, I found out that I'm not a good vampire. They kill me easily :)
I managed to beat it! Excellently done; incredibly well put together. I was a little confused by the control scheme but when I switched to controller it made more sense. I was also a little disappointed I couldn't move the camera at all once I was there, but I get why. Definitely made me be more strategic. The music was my favorite part. It was like I was back being 12 years old playing SEGA games on a CD ROM. :)
nice visuals, cool concept, and I also really liked the soundtrack! :)
Loved the game, it gave me Stealth inc vibes. great mood and music
Thanks for submitting your game on the stream! Here’s the start of your game if you wanted to re-watch initial thoughts youtu.be/qbBq_nBKk5k?t=25146
Loved the mood and mechanic! Congrats on the great entry!
The visuals and audio were great and the idea was pretty neat too. Unfortunately, it seemed like most of the time, the easiest way to finish each level was to just run straight to the exit and ignore all the enemies. Perhaps if there had been a little more polish to make the combat feel really satisfying (maybe some stuff like screenshake or framestop?) then I might have wanted to engage more with it, but obviously it's hard to find the time for that when you only have a few days. Another idea might have been to add more shadow areas. A ticking clock does a lot to encourage people to rush through, so it might have helped to design levels so the player had more opportunities to wait for an opportune moment to strike, rather than just feeling like they may as well rush past, since the time spent waiting would cost more health than the enemy can deal as they dash past...
This was really nicely polished with great action! Really fun and the graphics were nice too! Can tell a lot of work went into this -really well done! :D
