A beautiful story, even tho i lost every roll except the pkmn related <.< Overall a good game, tho i'm unsure on how much i would call it a game - its more like a story :3 I didn't felt like i had any control, it was literally a story with a few dice roll based paths, i still really enjoyed my time with it.

Nice bit of emotion there :) I love games like this where you have a proper meaningful storyline. The art is wonderful, too. Could make something great out of this if you take it further.

linus-lindberg 2023-01-09 07:35

Lovely art, although I would have liked to see more of it! Maybe some small scenes from your memories popping up. Writing and music is good and contributes well to the mood and atmosphere! Well done.

Thank you so much @thoastbot @mihkelroomet & @linus-lindberg for your play and kind comment ! As art game artist, it was a bit frustrating to not produce more art, but I am proud of codding the whole game, even if it is kind of basic. If you want to see more of my art, feel free to check my prévious games for Ludum Dare :love_letter:

Soooooo COOL! So glad to find there's someone sharing similar idea! "Harvest" the word to me is more about planting, instead of swinging the sickle. And life itself is planting karma.

Really nice branched story. I hope I were able to add those significant (for the change brought by the choice is very obvious) choices into my game, which the choices can only change a little part of the dialog.

I love the graphics, especially the fonts. The stable and beautiful background is really making the atmosphere, while I tried to add too many low-quality things into mine. I feel I learned a lot from you.

One little complain, the dices, the effects of choices and the karmas achieved didn't take too much of the screen, reducing the feeling of playing (in contrast from reading)

The graphics and story were very good, and I agree with previous comments that I didn't find myself "in control" of events, but that might be the whole point. Also, I feel adding sound effects would make a difference, but this is already impressive, congrats on making a game all by yourself!

Just wanted to say how much I loved the background art. Great atmosphere in general!

One of the best games I played so far! The story was beautiful, and very long for a game made in 48 hours. The graphics were also beautiful, and the whole vibe of the game was the best one I've seen in this jam. Well done!

@xlores-liang thank you for your comment, your thoughts are very interesting! Can't wait to play at your game ! @cagibi thank you so much for your kind words ! Yup the idea was to try to mix storyline and dices to deal with this feeling of "mix between luck and what you do" in life 🤔 @paulstraw thank you so much for your kind words ! @greenphox Thank you so much, I am so happy to read your cute words ❤️❤️

I've play this game at least a dozen times to try to have all the bits of the stories ! Love them all, especially the jokes.I want to be a Lila when i'll grow up , and make a wedding like that. (A bon entendeur 😘❤️). The art is great and the music is... Funny. Hope that Camille won't stay away for to long :p . I want to see more of your arts and games in the future ! You are amazing !

joel-elias 2023-01-09 16:05

You have written a lot of story in a very short amount of time, well done!

kizilejderha 2023-01-09 17:18

nice little story with charming graphics. There isn't much gameplay tho, it would be more interesting if dice rolls were replaced with a minigame or some dialogue options (tho I understand that both of these would be harder to implement). I like the acapella-only soundtrack, gives the game a very unique atmosphere. Good entry overall, nice work on your first solo jam :]

craigalancarroll 2023-01-10 00:59

This was a fun one to try! Thank you for your bringing this story to the jam.

fluburbio 2023-01-10 06:03

Très beau jeu! I could relate with the story, it resonates with me. The art is gorgeous, this is mighty impressive for a solo game! I wouldn’t mind playing a complete version that would span the character’s entire life. I think a system of « karma points » that could be earned and used to influence the dice rolls could be a cool addition. Thanks for this very nice narrative experience!

Excellent art, lovely vibe!

iminsoftware 2023-01-10 07:11

Awesome game! I think the art/scenery looks amazing, and the game has an impressive amount of polish for a game jam (like multi-language support? nice!)

phillip-scott 2023-01-10 16:39

Great looking and an impressive amount of story the ying yang mechanic was really interesting too

Great job!

Beautiful art and an interesting gameplay loop to go with it. Really well executed for your first jam. Congrats!

grid96 2023-01-18 21:39

really amazing visuals! also great choice of font. It all works great with the story. strong entry for your first time in the compo. I see the great potential for the jam to have even more time for making great artwork :)
