Animal Farm by nervous-composers 2021-10-21T18:09:34Z

It took me a little bit to get the pace of the game, but overall I gathered that my choices allowed other choices to arrive and be made. The story writing was very entertaining, and the art was very charming. I agree with others that a progress bar would be a nice addition, just so I know what I'm working toward.

Overall, great entry!

QA - The Game! by Chartle 2021-10-07T17:53:11Z

This is clever! It was a fun experience to try to find all of the things bugs that needed fixing. This was some topnotch audio implementation. I really liked all of the subtle details, like the mumbling over the PA. Very cool!

Fool's Paradise by ghost-in-the-toast 2021-10-13T02:47:20Z

Ha, nice touch. I did enjoy the music I got to hear. Reminds me of some late 90's/early 00's games, like Deus Ex or Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines.

Nukaloid by GuitarBro 2021-10-13T03:08:56Z

Love those pumpin' synths! The voiceover was great as well. Overall, the audio was quite professional sounding. Visuals were great, too.

From World 1, With Love by Kapricorn Media 2021-10-06T04:05:21Z

The art for this and the way it is executed is pretty awesome! I love the hand-drawn look. The segment that plays when you lose is a very nice touch. I really like the art direction, overall.

Pale Moon Shone by ditam 2021-10-21T18:28:23Z

Very interesting entry! So much drinking, so many bottles shot at. I wasn't sure what I was doing it all for, much like actually drinking, so it feels accurate.

I liked that it was different from what I've seen in other entries.

Toy Tactics by JoeShanahan 2021-10-12T18:05:47Z

I'll have to echo a sentiment from earlier. I played so much Worms: Armageddon when I was younger, so I really like the idea of this kind of game. Honestly, given the time frame, I'm pretty impressed how many things you were able to fit into this build. I'm sure with some tuning of the mechanics, this could be a pretty killer game.

Crysterra by Teto 2021-10-21T17:41:08Z

Ooh, this has got some charm! I like a classic turn-based strategy game, and the shifting terrain mechanic is a very cool touch. Others have mentioned the UI a bit, and for the most part I agree there are things that could be streamlined to make the execution more smooth. It is an impressive entry given the length of time.

The art was a nice touch, and the audio was easy on the ears. Really great work with this entry!

Unstable Alchemy by sarahs7 2021-10-12T18:12:11Z

It took me a bit to remember what to mix to make these colors, but I got the hang of it. Or I blew myself up a bunch. I like the idea of it, though. Very charming.

Waitin' Satan by awfindlay 2021-10-09T00:38:32Z

Alright, this one took me a bit to figure out how to play, but once I got it down, it was fun. Great audio! I love how the music goes from playful to metal. Very nice choices.

Reflate by Cody Miner 2021-10-21T18:19:05Z

Cool entry and clever gameplay loop. I would say that pretty much every run ended the same way for me; I saw a bunch of enemies piled into a corner, I went to collect my score, and then a mushroom dropped on my head. Ah, such is life.

PathPandar by GlebSviripa 2021-10-12T18:26:11Z

Charming little game! I never did figure out how to move from one side of the screen to the other. That probably caused me the most confusion. But, pandas! Very important.

Run Under Duress by iajrz 2021-10-05T03:30:53Z

This was a charming entry! I dig the very NES feel of everything, including the music. I would like to see the track loop expanded to maybe twice as long. I like the ideas behind it, but because it is so short you are listening to the same ideas often. The single button mechanic is neat. I always love when a game can pull that off in a way I haven't seen before.

Wurst Angst Apple Joy by Alexej 2021-10-13T02:55:59Z

I like the idea of this game a lot. Looking at the world from two different perspectives is a rather interesting touch. I agree with others about the dialog sounds, but I think simply turning them down overall will make it balance and blend better.

@quite-good Glad you liked the soundtrack! Perhaps I should make it into a tiny EP.

Watch Your Step! by Rmu 2021-10-21T17:58:23Z

I'm gonna disagree with a post I saw earlier and suggest that the lack of ability to change directions in mid-air is a nice touch for this game. It really forces you to consider your actions, which I did not many times.

This is a fun entry! Great work.

Harveyster by Almax 2023-01-11T17:54:18Z

Very cool entry! Combat was tricky but fairly smooth. Music was incredible, and the audio implementation was top notch! Very nice visuals as well.

PUMPKING RISING by peringo 2023-01-10T02:40:27Z

That was a beefsteak of a tomato when it grew! Quite entertaining.

Strange Orchardist by BoxedMeatRevolution 2023-01-10T02:16:16Z

This was a neat game to play! The introduction of the different materials to land on surprised me, and really added some depth to the gameplay. That was a very good choice.

The Eversoul by Substain 2023-01-10T02:25:08Z

This was a good effort, team! It is cool to see a large group come together for this.

Karmavrest by Vidu 2023-01-10T00:59:54Z

This was a fun one to try! Thank you for your bringing this story to the jam.

Bean Farmer Extreme 2 by bytecauldron 2023-01-11T13:54:43Z

@nougato Thank you! This is actually my first 8-bit song. It was really fun to write!

Bean Farmer Extreme 2 by bytecauldron 2023-01-11T13:55:57Z

@dramonsa Dang, thank you! Difficulty scaling is pretty tough in these tight-turnaround jams, but we're planning on making a polished version once the voting is done.

Bean Farmer Extreme 2 by bytecauldron 2023-01-11T13:57:19Z

@pyspher9 Thank you! We'll definitely look into making the player experience tighter. Definitely don't want snags where the player is confused about what they should be doing next in that scenario.

Bean Farmer Extreme 2 by bytecauldron 2023-01-12T16:21:44Z

@dzejpi Thank you! We had a blast making it. I've wanted to give an 8-bit song a serious shot for a while, so when we came up with this idea, I decided I would fully commit to it. I'm very happy with my peppy, over-the-top arrangement of Simple Gifts.
