Strudel is a Good Dog. I couldn't find an end game, but I had a positive outcome with everyone!

Strudel is a Good Dog. I couldn't find an end game, but I had a positive outcome with everyone!
I found the dialogue sound rather grating, as many times as you have to talk in this game.
Good idea with switching between two so opposite personalities, different views. At the beginning I thought I was playing for the fountain in the center)

Love that line!
Honestly, the writing was superb! Normally I hate story driven games but this one hit the mark for me. Great mix of humour and insight. The changing tones where also a great way to illustrate how different outlooks on life can hamper and/or help in certain situations. I had a lot of fun playing this! Also, more Strudel interactions please. *bark*
Everything works as it should in this game, nicely done project :)
Pretty unique. I was abit unsure what I was meant to be doing, but I soon worked out the shifting in personalities or mood. I was half expecting an invasion of werewolves or the some reveal about canablistic sausage meat. This the work of a deranged mind. And it was great.
Cool screenshots, sorry the game didn't open!
Intriguing concept. I'm sure there is plenty of room to build upon this idea. Well done.
Good concept
Interesting game. I like the game name hahah. It was fun to play
As other had said, good concept. I found it difficult to read all the unformatted text and while I understood the mechanics of sad/happy personality I rarely did change on purpose to achieve some of the talks.
Funny game =D
This made me laugh quite a bit. I really like it and would absolutely play it if you released it!
WOW! Thank you so much @d3kryption
Really special game. I love the humor and the unique characters. I guess your next game could be Sausage Fear Apfel Freude.
I cannot seem to get the link to do anything, it tries to open a tab an then closes instantly
You can just copy the link and paste it into the upper search bar.
@rookrules i think the edge-browser does something weird with the link - maybe try another browser, if you can...
@balduin haha!! "Sausage Fear Apfel Freude" - you just get us, mate! Thx
Hey this was cool, dialogue heavy games are difficult for me so it was cool to see it here. Thanks for submitting!
@piper-thompson S'not just Edge, doing the same thing for me on Chrome. Nearly flew past this game cuz of it.
I like a lot about this game. The audio was fun, love the voices. The quests had interesting resolutions. I enjoyed walking next to things in the scene as it would make the character controller go kinda nuts. I also liked how the player wraps around the scene edges. It's interesting to imagine the place as maybe a sort of purgatory or dream. :hotdog:
Ughhh the dialogue is relentlessss lmao brutalizing the characters like bashing their head on a rock... but... it's for their own good. In the end, we fix their personal and financial problems like an annoying uninvited guest. Great writing to make it work and the mood switch is very appropriately jarring.
Liked the story, but dialogue felt a bit too much haha
A really important theme! Innovative game and it was interesting to play. I liked how even the quit menu changed according to the mood. Couldn't find the end of the game tho. Played fetch with Strudel for like 20 times :D
Great game overwall, love it <3
We had a similar idea but couldn't figure out how to execute it. PS: maybe you could have tweak more the texts but its not a big deal.
and maybe I could have seen my progress over story arcs or people but loved the audio feedback of my progress. Well done guys!
Superb concept! Reading the dialogue and looking at the world from two very different perspectives was quite enjoyable. It's great that the flow of the game makes both perspectives valid in certain contexts.

The graphic side could use some work. The text would read much better if it was smaller and put on an actual text box. This mingled-with-the-background way is great for titles and small pieces of text, not so great for continuous dialogue. The walking animation feels kinda jerky and does not actually stop when you stop walking  But the tone differences between the two worlds are great.
What I didn't like were the dialogue sounds. They are too frequent and too overwhelming, making it harder to read rather than adding to the experience. I turned the sound down to almost a whisper after a bit.
Good game , i like it)
Great writing and nice graphics, cool experience in general and stands out from a lot of other work!
I like the idea of this game a lot. Looking at the world from two different perspectives is a rather interesting touch. I agree with others about the dialog sounds, but I think simply turning them down overall will make it balance and blend better.
This game really stood out to me, I enjoyed playing it! Graphics are good, the story is nice, and the concept is something fresh.
Very funny audios and sounds xD good game concept. I would like to see how they advance in polishing the art, good job!
Cool game
Great experience! I don't know why, but I like themes about mental diseases. I pet this dog and I was happy! I like dogs)
Very interesting take on the theme! I liked seeing how the same interactions played out between the two different mindsets. I liked the talking sound effects at first but they became a little grating after a while as some other commenters pointed out. The rest of the audio was great though - the background tracks for each mindset really set the mood well! If I could change one thing, I would give the player the ability to switch between the two mindsets whenever they wanted. A couple of times I found myself wanting to be in a specific mode to talk to a specific person, but having to wait for it to switch before I could do so. Overall though, it's a cool experience!
I will start my stream about 9pm Uk time. Hope to see you there. https://www.twitch.tv/thesoulselector
The audio mumbling is very unstable, indeed. Maybe it's the camera angle, but everything seemed to lay on each other a bit... incomprehensible. There's a quest there, I know. But, man, this mumbling makes you forget what you're doing.
