Cool boat physics!

Hey, great job! The boat control was intuitive and cutting the grass was really fun.

Wow, I absolutely adore that this was made in your own engine! I also love the idea of a little drifting/racer game focused around a boat! Some thoughts: - For me the contrast between the grass and purple grain was a little low and it was a little tough for me to differentiate. - I saw the option to turn on/off harvesting but it was obvious how that affected anything, if at all.

I also liked that I could get off the rudder and walk around. Also, yeah I know this is likely a little project just to test out your engine but I figured a little feedback never hurt anyone so :) Awesome job with this all things considered! The grass looks really cool and I love how it gets matted down.

It's fantastic that you've made this with your own engine!

Sailing on grass is beautiful and very poetic, I love the atmosphere of your game! The grass blades are superb. The lack of landmarks made orientation harder to me than it could have been, and I think sailing in circles was starting to make me a bit nauseous, but that's just me. It's more than impressive that your engine can do this, congrats on making something so cool!

Very neat and very challenging.

Very interesting and challenging, the controls are just perfect.

Very cool showcase of your engine's grass rendering 😁

Game itself is a neat idea. It lagged for me initially so I had to really shrink the browser window down (being able to unlock the cursor would've been nice) and then it seemed to run smooth but I found it hard to control, so I guess I can't be 100% sure whether that was the game or just my computer making it less responsive so don't want to fault you for that 😅

Either way I liked the challenge provided by only having indirect control, having to gauge the direction of the wind and make adjustments to all the factors accordingly. I felt like my preferred strategy was to wait for just the right wind at the beginning. A restart button would've been nice to be able to retry that quickly. I never really saw a reason *not* to enable harvesting tho, did I miss something?

I assume it's just because there's so much grass but would be cool if it could be optimised a bit for weaker hardware, or to have a slider to decrease the number of strands.

Neat game that could be even better with a bit of polish! ⛵️

Thanks @ava-skoog! Yes, sorry about the lag, I've got a lot of improvements in the pipeline for perf!

When grass cutting is enabled, you take much more damage from red grass. But honestly the ship is so slide-y that you're probably doomed if u hit the red grass no matter what haha.

Thanks for playing and the detailed comment!!!

@darzu: Haha yes, I did think the red was instadeath since I died so fast, thanks for clarifying! Good luck with further work on the engine 💪
