Very nice little platformer! I had trouble trying to get the ldjam version of WebGL running as well, but it was working on your itch.io page.
I really liked throwing all these shovels at the enemies
Hi there, it was fun! I found a similar bug to what's reported above, where I fell into a hole. The character didn't re-appear, but I could move the camera through the level.

This was a fun, straightforward platformer! I also fell through the floor. The level was long, and the combination of slow movement and those damn sunflowers made it a challenge, but I enjoyed that feeling of being on the edge :)

I like the music, it gives me a good atmosphere in the game, though I'm really bad at playing action games. It's better to stretch the bottom texture so that I won't see the gap between these pictures and the bottom of the screen.
Somehow the first platformer I've seen so far, cute art and a fitting little theme to go with it :)
Great little platformer, so cute! Also liked the music, which can often be a turn off for me. Really great work. Only constructive feedback I can think of is sometimes the height of the sunflower shots looked like they would hit the platform, but didn't, which confused me a few times (probably right on the edge of the collision box or something). Once I got used to that it was easy to predict and dodge them.
This was a really cute platformer, controls were smooth, music engaging. I really enjoyed it ! :) Well done !

A very cool game! Fun & unusual interpretation of the theme. The level design is great: hard at the beginning, but not stressful, and you keep getting better with each try. Managed to finish it with full health after about a dozen attempts :)
One bug I've noticed is sometimes you can fall into water and then move to the end as if being under the map. Also you can fire the shovels while still in the game menu without starting the game :) (they don't start flying until you actually start the game, though).
Of course I'd love to see more levels, more enemies, etc.

A nice jump and control, too, but I didn't really like the buttons. Attacking the mouse makes the whole arm stand out for it, and sometimes you also need to jump and control direction move. It would also be worth raising sunflowers or platforms to make sure that bullets do not pass through everything. Well, the plot/lore is ideally in the game to tell, not in the description, but not the point. Well done.

Well done! The graphics are are classic and the 8-bit music is fitting. For me, it was too difficult though! Is there a way to gain extra health? Also the movement is a bit delayed, which adds to the difficulty. Overall ok game!

Cute little platformer. Music and graphics fit well together. Controls are good and tight.
The pumpkin enemy was good but the sunflower enemy needs some work. The shooting leads to cheap deaths for many reasons: - It probably shouldn't shoot through blocks - It should start shooting a small moment after it is shown on the screen so the player has time to react - If player jumps over the sunflower, and the flower turns to face the player again, there should be small delay before it can shoot again. - Sunflower should telegraph their attack maybe with some animation of charging energy or tilting back before shooting
If not for the cheap deaths, platforming was fun and I could played even for longer level with checkpoints. Nevertheless, at least the game didn't overstay it's welcome :)

- Cute and whole graphics, fun minimalistic animations and sprites - Very nice chiptune music, fits the game very well - Embedded WebGL version is too small, I'd suggest you make it larger - Jumping height should be smaller if you don't hold the jump button (for better controlling your character) - Jumping bugs when jumping from edges of a roundy platforms - Some sounds would be nice - Pixel size is different from sprite to sprite, which is not very good (for example shovel sprite has smaller pixels) - I'd suggest you to change to promo art to something with pixel art, because current once doesn't show the style of the game, and you can benefit from showing pixel art from the game more in my opinion (I showed something like that in attach, but change sprites to some other ones and make it x2-x3 bigger)
In general I liked the game and had fun trying to complete it except the times when I died because of bad controls or jumping bugs :)

unfortunate_harvest.png At a certain point (very early in the level) I fell into the lava but instead of dying I started to move below the level. Unfortunately I could not win when reached the point shown in the picture :smile:
very nice game, love the concept, also bug, you can avoid the death barrier from the water and lava if you get hit before you fall in the lava.
I encountered a bug. When I jumped into the water, I didn't die, but became able to walk underground and avoid all obstacles on the ground. Although it is also impossible to trigger the end point. lol.
Maybe it's because I was hit by a sunflower bullet before entering the water (not sure, but you can start here).Looks like it was through the death zone of the water in the invincible time after the injury.
At the beginning, I was puzzled by the lack of button instructions, but I soon understood that this is a game similar to Mario Brothers.And tried to step on the pumpkin head (thus losing HP).After a while, I found out that it was to press the ctrl key to launch a shovel to attack.
But in general, the art style is good. Although I have problems winning this kind of game(all the mistakes belong to my clumsy hand), I still think you have made a good work at your first game.
Hi Guys, I'd like to thank you all for the comments, we are having problems with de the invencible water and lava lol... But we are trying to fix in the best way possible. Sorry if the game looks difficult sometimes, I have died many times too, until now I'm alwaaaays dying hahahaha, but I'm terrible in playing games. But we will try to fix every bug apointed. @danmerey I love your thumbnail, its better than ours hahaha. I will change thi too, the thumbnail was just temporaly, but you gave a good one, so I will use. About the bugs, we are fixing them. Once more, thank you very much!!! Oh, about the other things appointed, we will implement in the game!
Nice graphics, whole game is pretty and easy to play (so for me it's a plus). I don't especially know how I feel about "updates" after end of jam - u suppose to have 72 hours to finish game not more. The only bug I see in game is after touching water character disspear (I don't see him and enemies doesn't hit him) :)

I enjoyed this a lot! I died many times in the first half while I was getting used to the controls, and I'm not sure I like the controls: I did fine with alternating between the space key and left click on my laptop touchpad, but I think it would be way harder with a mouse.
Great job! I would definitely play a complete version with more levels and enemies.
Not a bad platformer! It's possible to slide off of objects as you land on them to pick them up, possibly an issue with collision layers.
Here I am then. Really great game, the graphics top notch - i really loved them, controlls pretty fun. Only a pity there was no contact sfx's that would make this game even more addicting :P
This was great! The pixel art and colors were great and went with the music really well!! (that music was awesome!) There was a nice variety to the level design too -very fun!

Great entry, cute character, everything fits well: the gameplay, the visuals, the audio, the theme.
Few comments: 1. As noted by others, the sunflower feels unfair. Won't expand here. 2. The slow-moving shovel attack is an interesting choice. I can stack around 10 shovels flying in front of me while running, thus eliminating most of the enemies even before seeming them (or right as they come into vision). Maybe it is worth making the attack a bit faster and add a bigger delay? - Or like in old consoles game only allow 1-2 projectiles on screen at a time. So long-range shots while being safer take longer. And close-range shots are near instant, but are more risky. 3. Character movement is a bit slow in comparison to how vast and horizontal levels are. - Some checkpoints throughout the level would make this less apparent. And be more forgiving for newer players. And to balance out, you could deduce from time-score for each death taken :upside_down: 4. Some upgrades with the plants harvested would be welcome, so we can try to beat level again with powerups faster. Just some replayability idea :slight_smile:
