The drawings are good, the muted palette made it fits the mood but the gameplay doesn't really puts them in a good light. I did however got the feeling that I was walking through a painting

Really well done art style and drawing. The mood is really well done and even the audio fit super well. Sadly the gameplay itself is a bit dull. The game is super slow and the jump does not feel great. I understand you were going for the vibe first but you should not neglect the game feel. But then again super well done job on the art and the vibe, it fit super well.

I loved this art style! The sound effects and music were fitting. This is a great take on the theme and very fitting with Halloween around the corner. I agree with what others have said about the gameplay lacking a bit and the jump feeling somewhat clunky, but dang did it look great and create a mood! Well done!

art and aesthetic are amazning. once i understood i could hide behind plants i thought that element was really fun. i did get kinda tired of dying over the pits due to poorly-timed jumps. checkpoints would be nice so i don't have to start over at the beginning tbh. overall really awesome universe created here and good work. the intro sequence was very immersive.

I'd like to see the character move a bit faster and maybe hiding could be controlled. Music might have also helped bump up the atmosphere.

Wow, I found the artwork here simply fantastic. The subtle sound effects complement it very well, and the animation of the creatures makes them quite genuinely terrifying. That plot twist at the end is really cute, I thought it was all pretty cool.
It was simultaneously rather cute, yet also quite frightening.

So much care went into this game! Gameplay is simple, but the game is so atmospheric, and a lot of factors play into that here. But first, one nitpick I have is that the jumps are too tight, some people could have trouble jumping over pits. Checkpoints may be helpful, but I think it would be better to make the pits shorter if we don't want to increase movement speed. And now, for the things I was fascinated by:
**Gameplay:** While the timer is forgiving, it still creates a sense of urgency, so it is a great addition here. And I haven't noticed any problems with bug paths: at all times you have a place to hide or avoid a bug. It could have some more mechanics and game feel though!
**Story:** Simple yet endearing, having nightmares as a kid and conquering your fears is relatable.
**Graphics:** visual style is so horrifyingly alluring. Storyboarding in the cutscenes is great, there are a lot of beautiful frames. Font is well-suited here too! And in-game, walking among the bugs really feels like you are so little... emphasized by depth given by the background. You feel so helpless in this game.
**Sound design:** I love that everything has a SFX. In cutscene (even sighs), jumps (but the wooden raft is a bit loud, I suppose), the telegraphing of the bugs being nearby, hiding in the bushes, creepy ambiance and sfx... You can't help but feel at least a little bit paranoid at all times. Such a fantastic job here!

The art is beautiful! It immersed me in the atmosphere of the game together with sounds) The theme of the game is familiar to most of the people. We all had nightmares when we were kids. Insects are horrifying.

Stunning visuals. The audio is great too. You can directly feel the tension while walking in the girls dream. The theme of overcoming fear is also very well done.
This game is a visual masterpiece! 🎨😍 I was literally immersed in its atmosphere, as if I was walking through a little girl's nightmare. The visual style is so captivating and detailed that every frame in the game looks like a painting. The intro scene and cutscenes set the right mood from the very beginning, and the atmosphere is simply breathtaking. The soundtrack 🎶 perfectly complements the graphics. Every step and every sound makes you feel tense. Even small sound effects add depth to the game and immerse you in its world even more. The gameplay is a bit slow, and jumping could be a little less difficult, but it did not spoil my impression in any way. 🕹️ This adds an element of anxiety that goes well with the main theme of overcoming fears. Adding checkpoints or a slight adjustment to the controls could have made the game even more exciting. Overall, this game is a wonderful example of how you can create incredible atmosphere and immersion, even with simple mechanics. Thank you for this amazing experience! 👏

I keep getting stuck like this when hit by a beetle, do you know how to handle this? Without well defined hitboxes it's a bit hard to jump over them. Would have been better to jump not only over the head but the full body.
Art and mood is amazing tho, espacially the drawn story. Just one thing I would say even if it's very cool is that there are too many parallax layers, it makes the thing a bit more artificial from my point of view.
@schadocalex you need to press tab the settings will open and go to the main menu to start the game again, this is a small bug unfortunately
That's an easy 5 stars for the art! You even have a professional looking game logo! I just wish the rest was on par with the visual quality.
Gorgeous art! The sound design is seriously amazing, as well. Really atmospheric ~~(I hope that's the right word)~~ and some of the sounds of the insects were creeping me out.

Excellent art direction and mood. The platforming elements were serviceable, which makes me think the game would be better off if it was just about walking through a trippy nightmare; triple down on that atmosphere and theme with minimal action elements. Sucks that the bug when you get hit is so prevalent, but otherwise this is an excellent entry.
I love the vibes! The platformer aspect was uh, iffy. More leeway with the jumps would be great cause they were kinda tight. The art was amazing though! Its cool that you were able to make cutscenes in time!!
oh wow! The art and overall atmosphere in this game is awesome! It's eerie and anxiety inducing and plays like reading a twisted children's book. It was very nice when treated for what it was trying to do! 5 stars on all art aspects!

Ok so the art was great especially in the cutscenes, game was also creepy, I don't like bugs and the experience was a little bit unpleasant for me and that is great(?) because that means you captured the mood greatly. But gameplay uh, no checkpoints? And jumps are so stiff I died I guess somewhere near the end but replaying everything just to die to a random jump doesn't sound enticing. Ah and about sound effects try to add some pitch variation next time it's an easy way to make your game sound less repetitive
Very impressive art and mood! I think it's an interesting take that reminds me of limbo, felt like you could've leaned into that a bit more and instead of populating the level with more of the same insects and stuff, loosen up the controls to be more forgiving with bigger jumps and make it kinda like a precision platformer than a single sidescroller. Also a check point right before the boat or something would've greatly increased the replayability of attempts.

Stunning art! Really pulled me into the game. The character controller felt a little bit stiff and a bit too slow, i would have liked to see that more fleshed out. Love the parallax effect on the background, once again the art and atmosphere were top notch. Great work.

Getting stuck on beetles is frustrating :( Glad I've read through the game page to know you can hide! Art style reminds me of Alice: Madness Returns by American McGee! It's an insanely cool atmosphere. The artwork is wonderful! Well done! Reminds me of the atmosphere of Silent Hill for some reason with its colors. In 3 days a great game! I got stuck when jumping over the bug ;)

Amazing sound and art work, I'm not limbo guy at all, but it was very kneet impression. Platformer feels a little clunky, especially jump, but it's kinda works because of nightmare vibe.

The visual design and mood of this game is absolutely stunning. Sadly didn't enjoy the platforming/stealth but this was still a great LD jam game.

Athomsphere and artstyle in combination with the audio are really great and immersive. The gameplay itself feels a bit cluncky, especially the jump.
very atmospheric, eerie experience! you tell the story through colors and emotions, that is so beautiful. i just wish for the gameplay to be more dynamic :) maybe have some puzzles or additional minigames while we are sleeping? also at some point you start to notice where background tiles start and end. this isn't a problem, but attracts attention a bit :)
would be so cool to have more nightmare journeys with various phobias :)

The mechanics of the game are very simple, nothing interesting, it just works and that is more than enough for a jam sometimes. Visually and in terms of sound, the game is simply amazing! I am in awe. I was very pleased to see and hear it. It is a pity that the sounds of the bugs do not move away or approach, but this is additional work, I understand. My bow to the artist, you have created a visual candy for my eyes. Keep up the good work!
