It's pretty unclear what I'm supposed to do with the drooplets to make them complete the trials objectives, or how the're supposed to interact with each other. I like their little animation and the characters are well drawn.
I also did't quite got what to do. But some good animations/graphics and an overall nice idea.

I liked the discovery element for each color of alien. Using previous knowledge to beat future levels made for an intriguing playthrough.
I like the looks of the game and the concept could be expanded into something really fun. With that said I wish there was some kind of information about how the different drooplets move and interact.
This is definitely and interesting idea for a game! I love the vibe of having to experiment with the drooplets to figure out what exactly they do!
I also love the lil sprites of the drooplets, they're very cute
However, I will say that given how limited your control over the drooplets is it can sometimes boil down to a waiting game of just hoping that they do what you need them to do. Having some additional mechanics to help instigate their actions would help to speed up the game a bit.
But all in all, good job!

the game look great, but it needs some more information to understand what are we supposed to do

Did not well understand what to do. I just passed the first 3 levels by putting all my goos in the level and waiting at max speed.
I like simple graphics and game play concept of experimenting with these tiny drooplets. It would be nice to have more control over them and add some timing mechanics or something to make more difficult. Right now it's a very relaxing experience, well done!Screenshot_8.jpg
Very interesting game and concept. Has a lot of potential to be extended. Great that you added a fast forward mode since the movement is pretty random and things can take time (sometimes it's still frustratingly long). The graphics are simple but very well done. I like the art style. Music is simple and not distracting. Sound effects are very fitting aswell.
For me it was pretty unclear what do. I know its part of the game to find out how the dropplets behave and interact with each other. But some basic instructions would be helpful. It took me while to find out that you can hover over the graphic in the top left corner to get some further instructions (which actually helped). For the future i would suggest to add at least one training level to explain the basics to the player. (if you ran out of time to do it ingame. you could give some more instructions on the game page)
Feedback for possible improvements: - i would prefer if the camera automatically moves if you reach one of the borders with the cursor or at least that you can use the arrow/wasd keys to move it. Would be a nice addition to the panning mechanic and feels more natural (at least for me). - cycling through the different colors with the mouse wheel should only select colors that are actually available in that level - For the syringe i would add a circular drop shadow below, that indicates where the drooplets will drop exactly - The progress indicator in the top left corner has transparency. That leads to some confusion if the graphic is on top off dropplets because it shows as if it is filled with that color.
Overall a pretty solid entry with an innovative and interesting concept.
Like others, I wasn't really sure what to do, and with the way the creatures moved, I wasn't sure if I even have much input over what happens?

This could be very cool if the gamification process was implemented a little better. Or maybe I'm just dumb and didn't figure it out. Either way, very good.

I really liked the concept and the art! I didn't quite get everything and didn't reach something as advanced as other players. But with some more clarity and tutorial would be a really fun sandbox to experiment ^^

Your game is really cool, I love your graphics. The gameplay is interesting, and I really like the vibe
Some great suggestions. It's true that the player does not have enough to do. We had more planned, but we couldn't elaborate on the systems in the jam's time-frame. I've added a guide to the different drooplets here on the jam page to help with some of the obscurity!
More levels, goo variety interactions, and a different type of dispensable liquid were planned, but we ran out of time. It's true that there aren't very many failure states, unless you unbalance the food chain and use up all your slime without success on the red and green challenges, or let your purple drooplets burn in the yellow challenge!

really cool concept and graphics, didnt really get what to do but the idea and the theme was on point!
This is a neat concept! I like the idea of a cellular automata submission a lot, and this one shines with ideas. I do wish there was a bit more control/predictability of some of their behaviors, I wasn't able to find a way to get the purple guys to avoid going on the hot tiles in the second level and they kept dying because of that, which made the level hard to beat. I think some more nuance in their behaviors to be able to control them better with placements of other drooplets would serve this game very well. That aside, the visuals were also pretty good! Overall still a nice entry, would love to see this more fleshed out.
Also, as an aside, I totally managed to lag out the game in the 3rd level. I love exponential growth! Screenshot 2024-10-10 153318.png
Really nice concept ! Well done !

A really nice entry, with an interesting concept. The droplets are very satisfying to watch growing.

A really nice concept that could be extended to a really fun puzzle game ! It's easy to reach the limitations of my computer with the green ones but with the explanations top left i found it quite easy to know what to do (I maybe had luck to look there fast). The Yellow drooplet are a bit hard to use to beat the 4th level but for me you have a really nice prototype here ! Well done !
thank you for the speed up button!! Really neat idea - I made sure to read your summary which made understanding the creatures much easier.
It's a cool game, my only complaint is that the game does not have a PIXEL font, which is very out of the visual and sometimes too loud sound effects
I really love the theme of the game, and it’s fun watching the characters move! I was a little confused about what the map does, and it was tricky figuring out how to play at first. Maybe adding some tutorial levels could help show how to place the droplets more effectively. Also, the speed-up button is awesome!

the speed up button was a god send. I love simulation games like these and playing around with the droplet interactions is really satisfying. I think it speaks for it self when my only feedback is that we need more content!

Innovative and matches theme on point! I like that you can try different strategies, however it feels like the best one is just the most obvious one - spamming everything in small area. I think this game could improve a lot if it would be little less random and if more tactical approach would be more rewarding. I wasn't sure how to beat level 4, but overall I like the idea a lot and had fun trying different strategies.
I like little detail that reset button wasn't just a simple reset but created immersion of burning all creatures in the lab environment. I can still feel the smell of smoke after level 2 so very immersive indeed (or maybe it is my.. wait..).
Time speed button was really helpful addition. I didn't notice it at first but after that the game became much more fun to play.

Damn, that's some funny experiments there. And damn how fast that green guys reproduce!
Nice take on the theme! As someone already pointed out, it would be better if it included some more control over over the behavior of the creatures, and it really slows down once the green ones start reproducing with no control xD Other than that I enjoyed the experience, congrats!

The background music and the sound effects when passing the level are very oppressive. When the green fills my screen, I do feel very excited, and the idea of the game is very good, which effectively exercises my thinking ability.
