LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Total Party Kill by adventureislands 2018-12-04T21:55:51Z

I really love this game! Simply amazing what you did in just about 48hours. Graphics, Sound, Gameplay, everything is just great and fits so well together. I really enjoyed playing this, it was sometimes even quite challenging!!

I also found a funny little game physics exploit that enabled my characters to use real teamplay instead of sacrificing themselves 😁😇

Lol, i played this game for far too long :) i thought there is an ending if you catch all asteroids but then i finally realized that they respawn. The game went down to a few fps after some time maybe because of memory issues. Nevertheless I enjoyed it really much. Was chilled and relaxing and the controls where fun once getting used to it.

Would be nice if you could hide the controls menu

Anti-Bomb by IcyLava 2021-10-07T06:07:57Z

This game was really fun to play. The first minutes where a bit frustrating because its not easy to get the hang of the mechanics. But once you know what to do its a lot of fun and quite challenging aswell. Without save points it would be really annoying so nice you added them. Very satisfying to finish it. Well done!

Don't Panic by csLupius 2021-10-06T12:24:43Z

I really enjoyed your game. All the graphics (2d & 3d) are great and i loved the atmosphere. The mini games are fun and all different, kinda reminds me of among us. Maybe its a bit too easy but better too easy than too hard :) well done guys

P.T. Bone-um's Fabulous Tightrope of Terror by Kyrio 2021-10-05T11:44:51Z

Great Art style. Game is fun and challenging and fits the theme very well

Radi8 M8: A Cherno Bill Story by indegame 2021-10-05T10:54:46Z

Nice game, i like the music. I found it quite hard but iam not good at those games. I liked the dash mechanic, got me out of some very dangerous situations. Sometimes you cant really shoot where you aim (like upwards/downwards) i dont know if this is intended or bugged, was a litte bit annoying.

Babel by Gaming Night 2021-10-05T11:48:03Z

Fun game, easy concept but very challenging, at least for me ;)

You can do it, Astro Pup! by benskca 2021-10-20T15:55:33Z

Quite fun game. Great art. Fits the theme very well. Music a little bit to repetitive and annoying for my personal taste. Definitely reminded me of Among us. Great you had all the instructions on the left. Only got stuck at the start because i didnt knew i could open the closed doors and thought i had to do something different with the power. I would recommend to allow numpad keys for entering the code aswell. Overall nice entry, congrats

F%$#IN BIRDS! by Substain 2021-10-05T10:17:59Z

really funny game and great idead to use the microphone for the balancing. I had lot of fun playing it. At somepoint i just burst into laughter because i was making soooo weird noises :D my neighbours think iam crazy now. I hope you don't record the audio, haha

Riot Village by Getem Ratan 2021-10-05T10:40:43Z

Nice little game. Has definetly some potential do build upon in the future. Like constantly getting money per villager (that is not in prison) and investing those money in buildings to automate things (bakery for foody supply). And then they get other needs with time like wood, clothes etc. that you need to fulfil and where you can invest in more buildings

WobblyWords by Dannyk1994 2021-10-05T11:15:56Z

Interesting game and fun to play. Graphics and music are great. I find it quite challenging though because the time to find a word is very fast imo. Maybe you could make it speed up with time / or levels? And is it always possible to build words or is it random how the letters spawn? I feel i sometime get weird letters. The Tutorial is also well made, nice you found the time for it. Maybe choose another font for the Tutorial Text because its quite hard to read.

Radio Inactive by Edoardo Talamini 2021-10-05T11:35:36Z

Fun game. Nice graphics and a simple but well thougth concept fitting the theme to 100%. Took me some tries to get the hang out of it but then i got some very fast wins

Chemical Salesman by PressStartEarly 2021-10-05T09:48:26Z

Fun little game. I liked how the story evolved around your decisions and the persons in the applications. At first i denied all applications for TNT because is it really used in fireworks? I thought they all wanted to build a bomb ;) Steven Smith was very funny ("Clenaning"), reminded me of Dexter. Is there a way to gain reputation or can you only lose it?

Unstable Code by Souptik Datta 2021-10-05T12:00:42Z

Very unstable game, and very buggy, so the Theme is well met. Took me a few minutes to figure out whats going on but finishing it was very satisfying

Rocky Eruption by Jojeando 2021-10-05T12:33:34Z

Nice little game. Like the graphics and atmosphere. A restart button or instant restart would be nice instead of going back to the main menu and choosing difficulty again. Well done!

Sleep by sir_onionknight 2021-10-05T12:14:59Z

Nice an simple game, well made. Phasmophobia without sanity pills :) Maybe you could build up on it and add a few more features/interactions, would be nice to be able to move and explore the room or something more to do than using the light & flashlight because the night feels quite long. I enjoyed it though, nice atmosphere

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

AquariumHunter by Jcourt 2024-10-25T12:05:48Z

This a nice an relaxing game with a fun concept. I really like that you are not simply an aggressive predator swiming around, hunting and eating everything in a few seconds but rather have to play it more stealthy. So, after i realized that the aggressive approach isn't optimal, i instantly switched my color to green and kept sitting in the algae. Waiting for my unaware prey. Waiting for the right moment. TO ATTACK! From that moment on, my stomach was always well filled, and I lived a long and fulfilling life until the end of my days.

You did a really good job. Graphics are nice as well. And the fish movement patterns feel also quite polished

Migration of Tiny Creatures by cirno 2024-10-25T13:41:19Z

Congratulations to this nice entry. Interesting game and concept that has potential. Really liked the overall style. I try to give you some feedback but i'm not an expert for this kind of games. Dont take my words too harshly, i know there is limited time in a jam and its ment for future development (if you wish so):

For me it felt like there is a little bit too much randomness involved which makes balancing for such a game pretty hard. - Depending on the randomness levels could either be pretty easy or extremely hard (i recognized that the overall numbers increased over time but placement and spread felt pretty random). - You could get really good cards as reward or only decent cards or even the same cards after finishing a level (for example i got the choice between 1 card to add 3xGrumpys and 1 card to add 5xgrumpys, so its clear what you take). - And even the cards themselves had randomness like removing random animals or rows and stuff. As a player i whish i had more control over the outcome.

Suggestions: - Probably create some currency like gold that you earn by securing your tiny creatues. - Buy cards/rewards with your gold (have multiple tiers of cards with different costs and give the player 1 card out of each tier. You could decide if the player can only buy one card or all three if he has the gold) - change cards to give the player more control instead of pure randomness. Instead of removing a random row, let the player select a row at the start of the level (and so on) - I would probably create some pre-defined spawn patterns that you combine to build levels. Have easy patterns, medium patterns and hard patterns and combine them to create levels of different difficulties.

Overall a great job on this game with a nice base concept!

Drooplets! by tukisboolukis 2024-10-09T17:48:41Z

Very interesting game and concept. Has a lot of potential to be extended. Great that you added a fast forward mode since the movement is pretty random and things can take time (sometimes it's still frustratingly long). The graphics are simple but very well done. I like the art style. Music is simple and not distracting. Sound effects are very fitting aswell.

For me it was pretty unclear what do. I know its part of the game to find out how the dropplets behave and interact with each other. But some basic instructions would be helpful. It took me while to find out that you can hover over the graphic in the top left corner to get some further instructions (which actually helped). For the future i would suggest to add at least one training level to explain the basics to the player. (if you ran out of time to do it ingame. you could give some more instructions on the game page)

Feedback for possible improvements: - i would prefer if the camera automatically moves if you reach one of the borders with the cursor or at least that you can use the arrow/wasd keys to move it. Would be a nice addition to the panning mechanic and feels more natural (at least for me). - cycling through the different colors with the mouse wheel should only select colors that are actually available in that level - For the syringe i would add a circular drop shadow below, that indicates where the drooplets will drop exactly - The progress indicator in the top left corner has transparency. That leads to some confusion if the graphic is on top off dropplets because it shows as if it is filled with that color.

Overall a pretty solid entry with an innovative and interesting concept.

Critter Conflict by SpiRiTs 2024-10-11T17:10:30Z

Wow, what an amazing entry to the jam. Congratulations to this awesome game. Feels very polished. It has everything: story, graphics, animations, soundeffects, music, multiple bosses. The graphic style is very unique and wholesome. I'm not particular good at this kind of games, so the bosses each took me several attempts to beat them. So for me it was a challenging, but in a good kind of way. I liked figuiring out all the moves the bosses do and learn to counter them. Every boss was different but also shared similiar types of attacks, so i could use my knowledge from before to adapt quicker (balancing well done!). I liked that i could instantly retry and not lose my progress overall.

My suggestions: - Maybe i'm blind but the bosses had no health indicator? Maybe it's a design choice but for me it would have been cool to see the progress i made in form of a healthbar. - Not sure if that was a bug or intended: Against one boss (the bird) i died but at the same time finished the boss after i loaded back into the map. I was not paying full intention, but probably i killed him with my last bullets during my die animation - The bubbles from the Crab were some of the easiest attacks to dodge and at the same time the hardest in rare cases (since they had a random pattern). I had at least 1-2 times where it felt impossible to dodge because of the way they spawned. Not sure if there is a soloution to that.

Stellar Slime Ranch by Arqcenick 2024-10-25T12:46:44Z

Good job on the game! It's a simple but addicting game loop with lots of potential for further development. You guys managed to implement a lot of mechanics in such a short time, amazing!

Some feedback if you want to keep working on this nice game: - The player start position is not optimal and you should start further behind. When i first started, i saw the 3 turrets directly in front of me and tried to pick them up with space. But of course i couldn't because these are turrets that you have to buy later. The first turret is behind the player and if you don't notice that you just fly ahead. You can see that some ppl commented having the same problem, thinking that the game is bugged which is not the case. - I really missed some kind of map/minimap. The level is not huge and yet i already started losing my overview. - I would love to have some additional view/camera for my turrets, where i can simply switch between all my placed turrets and see how they are doing and where to go next / which ones to replace and so on

Of A Feather by LCStark 2024-10-25T13:06:44Z

Such a simple concept but it kept me going for awhile. Felt like meditation. It was fun grouping up larger and lager herds with a few clicks instead of clicking every individual. I think having a command queue could be the next step, so you can set multiple target points in a row. Also nice that you implemented a simple minimap. Graphics and sounds make for a simple but well rounded game. Good job!

Space Station Pet Rescue Force by PerfectSquare 2024-10-10T22:04:03Z

Nice little Puzzle game, i like the idea behind it. The graphics are pretty clean and done well. There were a good amount of levels and it was fun switching between all characters. Has a lot of potential for more levels (hopefully some harder ones :D)

My suggestions: - i would increase the walking speed of the characters a little bit - as someone already suggested: you could potentially merge C+V into one action

Overall a great entry. I would love to play an extended version in the future

Shrink by Halogen 2024-10-25T11:39:47Z

Hey! good job on this game, fits the Theme pretty well. I like the basic idea/concept. For sure, the level is pretty short and a bit too easy, but i can see where this is going. I could also imagine to have several paths in a level and when you grow too big you have to take an alternative route.

Camouflage Garage by Hammy0212 2024-10-12T19:19:05Z

Fun game. Zooming around the map with that tounge is awesome. From the high ground it was a snack fest. Only thing that bothered me was the crosshair not being centered

Shrimpy by Kultuk 2024-10-10T22:21:14Z

Nice entry. Very relaxing gameplay. The sounds and graphics create nice "dreamy" underwater atmosphere. Level creation could need some work, i had a point where i could do nothing but lose.

Kat Kicker by Agent__Maxwell 2024-10-25T12:18:37Z

Never imagined myself doing dropkicks with cats, lmao. The humor in this game is on point, good job!

Crimson Ants : Donut Conquest by AdrienM 2024-10-10T22:15:56Z

Nice little game. The balancing could need some tweaks. I could basically afford my whole defense from the beginning and they lasted till the end. I would like if there were smaller raids in the beginning and you slowly build up your defensenses over time.

Slime&Bat Adventure by Bat Maxim 2024-10-25T14:10:57Z

Nice little game, you did a good job! Had some fun stopping all those flying terrorist cats. Level 1&2 were pretty chilled, Level 3 suddenly increased in difficulty but was still managable. Well polished for a game jam entry! You can easily add more things like pickups with different weapons and other enemy types. Keep going!

WormWarrior by Michalowski 2024-10-25T14:00:20Z

Congratulations for finishing your first game in just a few days, well done! Its simple but its working fine, graphics and movement are neat and you even added a sound effect in time. Like Damien Black already said, it just takes some simple steps like randomness and a win/lose condition to make it feel more like a proper game. Keep going!

Hop up ! by ZWEG 2024-10-10T21:33:26Z

Cute little game. Graphics are simple but everything fits well together. I liked the "power ups" from the flys. Wish there where more levels though. Nice entry!
