One of the best game of this jam for sure! Love the innuendos and the puzzles (even if some parts can be quite frustrating at times=

Truly a cool game, I really love the atmosphere, the style, and the mood! Great Job!
Simple yet cool game! Really like the leaderboard so you get a bit of satisfaction when you are in the top #10. The roguelite aspect is cool too. Well done!
Very cute game! Love the graphics and the vibes (and those grumpy dwarves). It has lots of potential I'd say.
I too thank you all for all these compliments your are giving us! I am very very very grateful to see all this appreciation for our little game. And as the artist, it warms my heart to read all your kind comments on the game art.
I'd say this is quite a piece made by a master
Incredibly engaging and addictive gameplay loop, good job!
Nice art and good spin on the unstable premise.
Really cool and original premise, I am pretty bad at this kind of games but I enjoyed it nontheless ;)
Heh, PTSD horse. Pretty cool, albeit short, game. Good job! ^^
Cute puppy. Dumb puppy. Love him!
Pretty cool and addictive game, I like how the music changes the higher you go. Pretty unforgiving too ahah!
very nice artstyle with the blend of 3d and 2d, and very good mood, but the 2d sprites and the lack of feedback made really difficult to understand if I was hitting an enemy.
Truly amazing game! love the card aesthetic and the game mechanics, I absolutely refused to quit the game before winning ahah
Very good mood too, but if I have to find a flaw it would be the lack of a background music, which would have improved immersion even more. Overall amazing though.
Jimothy and the Unstable Sword is the Dark Souls of Ludum Dare 49.
Jokes aside, pretty good game with a cool concept.
Cool minigame, with a very intuitive main mechanic (but a less intuitive magic power system).
The music doesn't really fit, but it's still catchy
love the tune! Also the game's difficulty is on point for me. Good job ^^
Oof, it runs awfully on my pc, to the point I cannot play it. too bad, seemed a fun premise to me :(
Very very very cool and unforgiving roguelike. The art and the atmosphere blend together truly nicely. One of the best I have tried until now, good job!
Thanks to everyone for your compliments and feedbacks, I'm really glad the game has been appreciated :) (especially the art, since I drew it ahah)
And GG to Gat, 40 second left it's pretty good I'd say!
Thanks to everyone for the feedback and the compliments :) @haematite in the main menù there is a "post-it" with the quadrants' name, but I suppose it's pretty easy to miss ahah
Damn this is hard! Love the concept though (and the horse)
Welp, I was not able to beat this game ahah. Really liked the concept, and never felt frustrating. Good job!
Ok, for some reason the first time I played the page was all messy and I could see the items so.... had to retry. (I essentially tried a no-item run lol) With the item it becomes cooler, and faaaar easier. As I said before, good job :)
Thank you all for all the positive comments, critics, and feedbacks. I had a lot of fun drawing the asset for this game (especially the monsters) so I'm very glad that they have been liked by so many!
@hoeleboele I will rub this in my programmer's face for a while :eyes:
@jkyd Yes maybe I went a bit too on the pretty side instead of he readable one
@stefan-funke Congratulation! I hope you had a good laugh! And yeah after all monsters spawned I'm afraid enemy boats do not survive for long . Sorry to hear that the Snake decided to chill out in the middle of the map lol. Thanks for the great feedback anyway
I cannot respond to everyone but know that all your comments are very appreciated and cherished!
@luxiffre yes I can see why the legend could be a bit *too* diegetic. All enemy ships are slower than the player one, but we know that they like to gang up on a port, and while possibile to bait them away, it's easier said than done when there are like four of them.
Thanks for the feedback!
I am so happy to see so much appreciation for the style and the gameplay! Thank you all, truly.
@frabjous-studios , @amunonra , @noskro I promise to design a better UI next time LOL (And Noskro, do not pirate too much or the Marine will come, or even worse.... :eyes:  )
@jupiter-hadley hope you had fun! :)
Very cool idea, good job! I liked that one of the winning option I used was there from the start.
Now I wonder if I would have been able to make the king sign a treaty but oh well, off to war!
Very cool game, dealing with inertia and graviy reminded me a litle bit of Outer Wilds lol
Pretty cute game, played a bunch of tries. I was a bit bummed that I kept getting the same 4/5 targets, because I liked a lot the various hints and I wanted to see more
Good job!
Very nice and relaxing experience, took a couple of tries to figure out that the range of resource collection was based on the river and not the boat or some arbirary measure, but once it clicked it was very fun playing it.
Unfortunately after a while I think it bugged out, because I couldn't drill nor collect resources on the right side (I could still drill downwards anc collect resources on the left side of the screen), so I ended up stuck.
Impressive job! The difficulty is just right, far from frustrating but not easy enough just to get you engaed.
Also very cute pixel art and music! And Cacodemon!
Final note: as an italian, I too cannot wait for our complete dominion over Earth.
Very cool idea and very good execution! At time I was a bit too busy looking at my runes intead of watching the enemies, but it's definitely a very good game!
Gorgoth is my friend now
Simple but fun gameplay loop. It's very cool to see the grid slowly getting swarmed by those pesky humans
Thanks to both of you @0x0961h @locksmitharmy !
Yes we are aware that is a bit messy, as we really didn't get the chance to playtest much. Initially we wanted the grimoire to be draggable but, well, time is what it is
It would be easy for me as the artist to dump all the blame on the programmer but he really worked his *butt* off.
Thanks everyone for the kind words! Yeah the font is not the most readable we know, my fault choosing it lol
@maxplusplus yeah we originally wanted at least 15 creatures but time was pretty strict so we opted to just make 9 but animate them all. We also wanted to sneak some hint for two secret creatures but damn we didn't manage to implement them in time.
@taximan981 We know we didn't have much time to polish the experience unfortunately, but I do appreciate that you liked the concept. In the end, that's the good thing: that someone likes our ideas :)
Thank you for the feedback! Yeah the font is my fault lol
@fupi there was supposed some secrets about the ending but we didn't have time to implement them unfortunately
Impressive art and witty writing, a very pleasant experience
Very cute, my team also had an idea about creating magic circles! Great minds think alike lol
I love the art, but as someone else said, there is some kind of bug that gets you stuck in the cage or zoo sections. I tried going back and forth a bunch of times and it always happened.
