Now it works

I thought a movie is going to start with that intro, well done! My character did disappear once I went back to zoo at the first time interestingly. Second time it disappeared after that when I tried to go to right. Loved the overall aesthetics, very dream-like!

For some reason, I got stuck on a loop between getting to zoo screen and the cage screen... Is there something I needed to do to move forward? I really liked the look and feel of the game though!

The art is definitely the standout here. Very great looking impressionistic art. Echoing the sentiments above, however, I did get stuck, my character disappeared after going left cause I thought I got stuck in a loop. would love to see this concept explored further though! reminds me of the game gris a little bit.

There's a Morse Code on the chair:D

spica 2024-04-16 10:51

Controls are a bit off, but I really like how this game looks, super comfy!

There is a bug where you get stuck in the "zoo" area and can not see character sprite anywhere. What should I do?

flyingclouds 2024-04-16 15:25

@spica Idk sorry😭😭 I didn't experience this while testing,I'll check layer next time.

I love the vibe of the game but unfortuneatly i encountered the same issues as other people before me. If you go left to "return" to the area before, you get stuck on the left side and have to restart the game. And i too got stuck in a loop after the cage, to the beginning of the zoo. If you end up fixing it, feel free to @ me because i would love to see more of it!

I can see this game has a lot of potential, the painterly feeling of the aesthetic was nice and the music fits well. But I have to say having the character not animated and the quite "floaty" controller made me not enjoy it as much as it deserved

Damn, that music and artwork is sublime! The piano is simplistic yet inspires, makes me want to save the planet, free these critters from their sad lives, then the bells add really nicely to that (a shame, LD removed the audio rating cuz this one is 10/10). I also adore the idea of the intro with those different fonts. The scrolling speed was a little too fast though, also text got cut off at the sides sometimes. Why no walking animation for the player? Moving without animation feels off. A little bug kind of: I can fly into oblivion if I press spacebar often enough; a vertical limit would enhance the experience. Then at one point I went left to get to the next screen but I reverted to another screen and the player would not appear. Had to restart the game sadly.

I love the art, but as someone else said, there is some kind of bug that gets you stuck in the cage or zoo sections. I tried going back and forth a bunch of times and it always happened.

slagos 2024-04-17 09:06

music was super good. gameplay wise, its kinda hard to fight against getting stuck. the mood of the game is awesome tho, the art and the audio combine super well and felt like it belong to each other. Prety good

anastasia-lukiy 2024-04-17 09:45

I like the art and the character! Great work!

flyingclouds 2024-04-17 15:16

I'm glad you like it. I'll post a video about how to complete the game later on youtube, and thanks for your comments and advices!

mitur 2024-04-27 00:09

I also got stuck between the cage and the screen with the zoo sign :(

mikropiru 2024-04-28 16:48

Echoing what the others have said, i.e. I loved the background art and the music, but unfortunately had the same issues with the player disappearing and the looping screens. :-( I may have missed something or done something funny myself, of course. Anyway, the mood alone is so great I want to try again!
