Everything about this is great. You can get really unlucky and get wiped early, but you can also get super lucky and get the Goblin Cage at the beginning.

Had lots of fun with this one! very addictive mechanics haha
Nice game, too bad that you've got only 10 rounds, because it is at that time when the real fun just begins
Some very funny descriptive text in this, laser and tesla towers in particular.
Hey @jack-d-taylor, at the win screen you can choose to continue and keep going with your run! Glad you enjoyed!
A fun challenge, it makes me interested to learn what units counter the others.
When you think you've mastered it, it hits you like a rock! It's a pretty challenging game, even hard I would say, but fun nevertheless!
Very fun game! I loved watching the battles play out and reading the descriptions.
Impressive amount of work! I really like the rat sprite, and the music is very good (simple but in a good way). I even had to double-check if the game had music because it blended so well, which is a great sign since it never distracted me from playing. I had to give it a few tries because you made it pretty challenging! Overall Great entry!
I really like games like this, the game is not hard and everything is clear, you need to figure out the most important things, the goblin barracks are imba, the developer is right and thought about this and after the 10th round that's it, I lost ((( But such thoughtfulness even impressed me, definitely like.
Did I spend far too much time playing your game? Yes Do I regret it? No!
What a amazing and fun game. I really enjoyed it. Some strategy are a bit OP and the units may need some balance but this is so great for a Jam game, it's almost at the level of a sokpop game for instance.
This was a top game for me :)

I had an absolute blast playing this. Definitely one of my faves this jam, great work team ! The difficulty is brilliantly managed, music is good, sprites are neat and everything about it feels so smooth. It's also one of the few games I've played with a real replayability factor which is very rare. GGs !
Really fun, the only issue I have is that on the snake level soo many enemies are spawned it lags a lot. Other than that great job!
Awesome game, really enjoyed beating it. Had 7 mana per turn, 9 start mana and hut + buffer cost at 1 + the cage, so it became quite easy, but I still enjoyed it. There's not a lot to critique, maybe some way of manual targeting would have been a good add, as I could see points where if I did not have the cage, I could not have broken through the enemy defenses; my little guys ran straight to a fortification that was being healed and with many tesla towers behind. Won't write a super long praising post, I'll just say that I would buy an expanded full version of this.
Fantastic entry. I had a lot of fun "abusing" some of the upgrades. I imagine my strategy was not developer intended, ha!
The art is delightful! I love the variety in towers you have.
In lieu of just explaining my cheesy strategy, here's a recording of myself playing the game!

Amazing entry. The game is really polished for a 72 hour project. I really enjoyed the different descriptions so I guess all I have to say is take this pretty flower UwU :sunflower:
I am really impressed! I have played 20+ games and this game has the most interesting gameplay for me. A little balance and it can make a great roguelike
A very addictive tower defense game — I played this for a couple of hours and intend to play more later. It's just challenging enough not to be frustrating. The most fun game yet.
Was able to win using nothing but goblin huts, placed randomly which I wish wasn't possible. That said, I had quite a bit of fun finding that out.
Finally won! Great game you've given us.

Nice Tower Defense game! A tutorial would be nice, also the AI has some weird target selection. I like the large variety of buildings :)
This is very pleasant and funny game! Characters and bullets movement are crazy. Everything is very polished and pretty. Thank you, I really enjoyed the project!
Nice game,very interesting plot!!!!Nice job!!!!
i had fun with this one, simple but also challenging. the pixel art is really nice, i like the sun that goes round on the bottom for the day cycle, nice touch. the music and sound fx are also well done. i like all the variety in the units and upgrades. those little kamikaze bomb dudes were def not expected haha, they got me good the first time. it was fun watching the battles but the fast forward button was appreciated. very polished overall, great entry!
This one is amazing! Spamming 6 goblin huts per turn felt completely over-powered until my enemy started spamming those electric towers with no hope in countering that. image_2024-10-15_174750937.png
Really fun game! Ended up playing it for a long time! The anticipation of what you will unlock next was great! Really good job!
Awesome entry! I played a bunch. It's fun just to watch your little guys go. I didn't see much point to building defenses since goblins act as both offense and defense. That worked great except when I got wiped out by bombers...
Incredible stuff! Genuinely hard to find fault with it. The music and artwork are both great and it seem exceptionally well balanced given there's not a huge amount of time in a jam for play testing!
Had a lot of fun with this one!
I'm impressed at the number of towers and units you guys were able to make, and how balanced it felt. Everything felt like it had strengths and weaknesses and there were a lot of ways you could conceivably win. The tiny pixel dudes were really charming and the game as a whole had a great vibe.
The strategy I ended up going with was discounting goblin village as much as possible and making tons of them --- it was weak to the electric towers, but given enough time they were able to get past them. Here's a "screenshot":

Thanks for making this and good luck during the rest of play and rate!
That music has no right to be so catchy! :P I also like the light-cone effects around buildings at night and the variety of buildings to place. Overall, an enjoyable entry.
Very addictive game:>

This game is amazing. It has all the qualities to make me return to it again and again. There is something deeply satisfying about seeing your build slowly evolve, get better and better. And when it fails instead of feeling disappointed you think "hey, just one more try, this time I'm gonna win more!".
Aesthetically, the game is great. The pixelart style is wonderful, with some nice animations added to the top. Intense music and some nice sound effects that feel like taken straight out of the NES era really enhance the experience.
The mechanics side is great too. There's a huge variety of units and buildings, and the limited choice you get at the start gives the game a lot of replayability, just to see if something else might work better than the last one. The Fast Forward button was great, though I feel like the game could sometimes just detect that all the enemy structures have been destroyed.
Overall, this is a really impressive jam entry, nicely done! :D
