Interesting gameplay. It's a little bit hard to manage the resources to stop money keep going down.
Good work! This game seems to have a very complex system. It must took a lot of effort to design and implement such a game so good work on that! The concept is fun and the art contributes to the vibe well. Some UIs can be confusing though. I encountered a major bug so I didn't get to finish a run, wondering what the ending scene would look like ^^
Major bug report: Didn't finish a run since on Wednesday after one of the event the window was frozen and I cannot do anything about it.
window is too big for my monitor and bleeds into my second one with no way to resize / move it around
@catzp Thank you for your kind comment! We do have quite a few bugs, since in fact we didnt manage to playtest before the upload haha.
I managed to beat the game, but only because eating a ghost accidentally gave me 3000 cultists instead of Magic XD
In any case, we will be patching bugs out tommorow.
@realwangziyang We will be doing some patching and balancing tommorow!
Currently none of us have managed to even get to the first transformation without the use of bugs, so we might be looking to adjust the difficulty.
Thank you for trying out our game and for your feedback!
@Deeto Thank you for making us aware of this problem! We will work on fixing it, along with other bugs, tomorrow.
Your feedback is very appreciated!
@catzp it most likely was the Targaret Matcher event trying to resolve. There was a typo in the name of the variable. It's fixed in v1.1
Too complicated, didn't really understand the game but suddenly I got thousands of cultists and money without knowing why or how. Fun graphical design and suitable audio.
A bit confusing, maybe try to use more icon and less text :D
The gameplay mechanics in this game are so intuitive! It's like the controls become an extension of your own instincts. Plus, the art style adds a unique flair that keeps you engaged throughout. Definitely a gem worth exploring
It's funny. For some reason the 1.1 version didn't want to work. But I was able to play the first version. Respect to the artist, the background turned out awesome. As they say, I did not understand much, but very interesting.
Interesting entry. It took me some time to figure out how to manage things properly and not bleed resources but I liked the atmosphere, art and very funny writing. I imagine you guys had a blast building this, so for that alone well done :)
Amazing concept, but it's very hard to manage everything in the current state of the game. But I would be happy to play the full or improved version!
I reached 1441, you guys were smoking something when cooking this up!
The concept is something I can grasp but as mentioned the balance and state of completion mean that it's a bit difficult to keep up with some events and such.
However the appeal of this sort of insanity is pretty fun.
Oh also the volume sliders in the menu seem to work on an exponential or log scale rather than linear, (there's a big drop in levels after a slider is brought to around 60%).
I see what you mean about the balance! Aside from that, my main suggestion would be to focus more on feedback: how do I understand what effect my decision had?
Obviously there are some mechanics going on behind the screen, but there isn't much to tell me if my decisions were right or wrong! It didn't seem like anything I did made a stable system, so I couldn't really learn from there. When the game starts and money is already ticking down, it's a little stressful.
If you slow down the system and allow the player time to learn, that itself can be a good tutorial. Maybe slowly introduce the other types of allocations (recruitment and AOW) once I understand how to make a stable system. And if you can somehow communicate what impact each piece of the puzzle is having on money, magic, and loyalty (explain the calculations), that could go a ways toward demystifying the mechanics you worked so hard on!
The art and the music were fun, though! I liked the instrument voices for the cultists :)
Can't open 1.1 for some reason but 1.0 works fine. The game is funny to play, the options sometimes really confuse me tho.
