Swinging around on the hook is fun! A bit upset that I fell through the terrain or got stuck in the rocks multiple times, especially near the end. Wish I had more air control, or a way to reel the hook in. Still, nothing wrong with a bit of grappling.
Lovely entry, the grappling at first feels a bit stiff (as mentioned by @sypiac , having more air control would make it even more dynamic and less punishing?). Unfortunately, I also got stuck in the terrain a couple of times, which unfortunately breaks the flow. But overal, I am impressed and glad I got to play your game !

@sypiac and @javasaurus thanks for your comments, yeah unfortunately I ran out of time xD, let's say that pressing R to restart was a VERY NECESSARY feature that I added as I was always finding a new corner to get stuck xD

Great potential for this one, the graphics are nice, and swinging on logs feel very good when it worked I did expect to be able to grab logs when I didn't - it looks like the game think they are too far I did get better which is nice - with more polish this can be addictive

Great implementation! The physics model is a bit challenging in my opinion. But otherwise, it's a very addictive game!
Fun game with cool mechanics, felt suprisingly smooth given grappling hooks are normally super hard to make feel good in 3d. However quite challenging and maybe felt a bit unfair when buckets cancelled your movement. The audio was also so unpleasant haha.

Yeah sometimes momentum is not preserved and clearly audio and music are my weak spots.

pretty fun! its fun swinging around on the lines through the canyon, it seems like sometimes it wouldn't detect "grappleable" surfaces but overall it was a good experience
I got to the end of the buckets. This game took a minute to get used to the swing physics. I was bad at aiming at the skinny pillars while going fast or being far away. All that said, I absolutely loved feeling like spiderman so 5/5 game in my book :)
I absolutely love the writeup on your page, brilliant! And relatable, too. Gave this quite a few attempts, but I wasn't able to win :( - My mouse sensitivity was really low, regardless of tweaks I could make on my end, so that didn't help. Definitely a luxury to have in a jam, though. At any rate, I got to play enough to experience a fun game loop! The swinging and movement feel fun to retry over and over. If there was a cue for your gun's range, I missed it - most of my falls were caused by not knowing what I could hook. Oh well! A solid entry for sure, congrats!

This was fun! I couldn't get past the buckets though, haha. Maybe I'm just bad at it, but it would be nicer if the grappling hook had more range. Great job!
Fun game couldn't get far though maybe because I'm bad, but I love the idea of grappling and swinging around. I never got my 50 bucks, guess I'm not eating today :( Great job. Also try commenting more because it looks like you've rated a lot of games but aren't getting many ratings because you haven't commented enough and it would be sad for a good game to not get the ratings it deserves.

So hard, but must admit, pretty addictive :sweat_smile: the physic felt a bit weird, sometimes gaining a lot of speed, and sometimes loosing all momentum without really understanding it...
I think I would increase the "gun" range to make it a bit more enjoyable, and some music :) Otherwise, pretty good :thumbsup:

That was fun. The swinging mechanics felt satisfying when you build up some momentum, although sometimes felt frustratingly unresponsive when I was probably just a bit to far away. The buckets still swinging like crazy after restarting was not ideal. I managed to hit the ground trigger while swinging once. The dark level was a bit too dark to see the targets properly.

Good job making some pretty fun physics and movement within 48 hours! I liked the variety of environments you created, and there was a good sense of momentum. Super fun to fly through the air.
Throughout the game, I did find it tricky to click small targets when moving really fast, which you have to do often. It was very precise timing. I think you could add some leniency there - maybe you lock on to targets if your cursor is within a certain range or something. It was also frustrating when the game's physics acted up and I lost all my momentum from a bad angle or something. There's not much you can do at that point but die, especially since your range with the hook is not very long.
I also thought the level design was a bit lacking. The canyon area had a great sense of height but not much to do except click wooden bars, and when the buckets came in, the level just became a bunch of buckets in the air. (The buckets were also unpredictable since they have their own rope physics on top of your own. Also, the dark level made it even more annoying to click the small targets, because I couldn't see them at all.)
Overall, this is a great foundation. I think it could be improved a lot through some more interesting levels and some more leniency with the controls. Good work!

Sometimes I failed to grapple when it looked like I should - not sure if it’s just me or if there’s a small issue. Also, having some music would be a nice addition. Otherwise, it’s a pretty fun game!
It was a great and a fun game, and yeah it was an addictive game, I played it for almost half an hour but I couldn't win.
Super well made game, physics and checkpoint system worked great. I appreciated that I was able to change the volume, but would've absolutely loved being able to change the mouse sensitivity and FOV as well! Gameplay wise it was a blast, I loved having to aim carefully and swing with intention.
I do think that giving the player a little bit of control over their mid-air momentum with WASD would've made the game more approachable. I get that part of the idea is to make you swing accurately to be able to reach the next grapple point, but adding just a tiny bit of extra mid-air control would cut down a ton on frustrating moments.
All in all a really well made game, congrats!
Cool game! The grapping mechanics were a bit stiff and sometimes felt arbitrary but it was fun nonetheless. Great job!

The physics is pretty satisfying and by the end u have to think about the way (when/where) you are grappling which is really cool! Super fun, had to try the last level quite a few times (almost did it early on but got stuck in the terrain at the end in the finish :( )

It reminded me of the old game Bionic Commando. It just lacked a bit of flight control and more speed =)

Pretty cool, but couldn't get too far, it was very hard to target the beams as they would flicker yellow, and sometimes they didn't at all and I was unable to swing, the little bit I was able to (got to the buckets) was quite good. I also couldn't see the money fly away, it seemed like it teleported, but it would be cool if it went away faster the closer you get to it.

Super hard but I stuck with it and won! The base grappling mechanic is super fun. It would have been nice if it was a bit easier to target the beams and buckets when flying at a big speed but it still worked good enough anyways. Fun game! moneyz.png

Unconventional way to play and partially infuriating as I got stuck a few times.
Nevertheless a unique game. Wished there was a bit more music to improve the mood even more.
