lol looks great

The itch.io link doesn't work for me, I am not worthy for the bananas

markymark 2022-04-04 18:01

Fixed the itch.io link, my bad guys :(

eggshelldog 2022-04-04 20:20

the music is a good choice, it makes the gameplay smooth even there are not much other sound effect. You collect -> buy -> kill, not much I can comment, the game feel completed. Pretty solid entry. and my right hand is sore now :joy:

markymark 2022-04-05 01:00

Thanks for the review @EggshellDog! Yup I know exactly what you mean, my left finger hurts from mashing against 32 agents lol

arihan10 2022-04-05 01:19

I ended up playing this one for wayy longer than I originally anticipated  I think, despite the generic shooter vibes, the mood created by the very humorous tone is really what sells it. Good job!

purpledartfrog 2022-04-05 08:52

Brilliant idea :thumbsup_tone1: very lowpoly style  and very directly connected to the theme

I managed to get this running on Linux using WINE but it was buggy to the extent that I don't feel comfortable giving a rating on the actual gameplay (since I'm pretty much positive that what I saw wasn't representative of what you've actually put together). Mostly just wanted to say that I love your take on the theme! The blocky graphics have a lot of character too.

markymark 2022-04-06 06:45

Thanks @arihan10 and @purpledartfrog, glad you guys liked it! I was pretty happy with how the NPC movement matched the music pretty well :D

bentglasstube 2022-04-06 06:46

Interesting game that was more fun than I expected. One thing that was frustrating was I didn't really know when the customers would leave or how much if I had health left. Some UI elements to show those things would be a nice addition.

krg 2022-04-06 06:51

my figers hurts i was so close to get that 3rd gun but they literlly came to gangbang me,lol very cool game

markymark 2022-04-06 09:39

Agreed @bentglasstube, I was planning on adding some extra UI to show how long until the customers leave and the enemy HP, but I just ran out of time. And yup @krg, gangbang is the exact word others have described it as XDD

I love how you managed to create an entertaining game with minimal graphics I really loved the mechanics, good job!

Thanks for creating this game :)

I think the graphics and the music were fine and fitting. I liked the mood when everyone leaves the the scene gets dark. The controls sometimes felt unresponsive or stuck, I died two times because I just couldn't shoot.

zevsehg 2022-04-07 10:37

One of the few games that i'm really enjoyeed! It's missing shooting sounds, but overall good.

zevsehg 2022-04-07 10:42

The game does not fix the mouse cursor, so I often clicked on the second screen.

caeonosphere 2022-04-07 21:50

Damn, those exponentially increasing hordes of auditors are terrifying! Love the look of the title screen, too. My fingers hurt!

sagiii 2022-04-09 08:02

Hello! Now I know that Onlyf**s isn't the only solution if I need money. The game is so fun. Just little suggestions: The mouse lose focus because it can go on a second screen and that's deadly against the bank guys. When you kill a bank dude and you get tped to the market you should destroy the bank guy parts because I had a market with bank guys corpses.

zantze 2022-04-09 19:11

Fun shooter game!

diego-escalante 2022-04-11 00:36

_There's always money in the banana stand._

Two bits of feedback: - It would be nice to have some kind of feedback for damaging the tax agents. A depleting health bar, making them flash red, or something to let me know that my shots are connecting. - This only applies to people with multiple monitors, but since the cursor is not locked, you can accidentally move the cursor to another monitor, try to click to shoot, but now the game is no longer the active window and you probably end up losing. This issue is understandable though; it is probably hard to catch if you only have one monitor.

Aside from that feedback, pretty fun game! I like how frantic it is. The music was sort of simple but honestly it was very fitting and quite a bop! Title screen with the camera around Grandma Betty was a nice touch too. Well done!

fueelin 2022-04-12 07:32

I liked the graphics a lot, and it's a pretty funny/clever idea. Unfortunately I also had multi-monitor issues that made it hard to get very far (I did beat the first tax collector, though!). Also agree with other commenters that an indicator that you're actually damaging the enemies would be a big addition.

markymark 2022-04-12 07:43

Thanks for all the feedback everyone, I really appreciate it <3

jchab 2022-04-12 21:44

something about these faceless characters i find creeepy and funny. good design choice!

jk5000 2022-04-13 19:02

A little weird, but also super funny. Well done.

commanderstitch 2022-04-16 18:34

I liked this. It fits the theme very well. The only issues i ran into playing the game was that when i switched to the tax collection sequences my mouse would often scroll out of the monitor and onto the other monitors, i'd click on those screens and it'd pull me out of the game. I didn't see any full screen options in order to fix it. It's neat! great take on the theme, i wanted the shotgun so badly, but was unable to because of the outside screen clicking on scroll. My guess is, if i only had one screen active, this wouldn't be an issue. :-)
