Nice Game!

Cool concept, it was really difficult :D

Would like for the summons to stay closer to the middle so that they dont let half the enemies through. Also it would be nice if the units stayed after the shop.

Good job!

Interesting idea. I like the combination of tactics and card play that go into it.

Really clean style. The art is good (even though you didn't have your artist).

I like the idea and it fits the theme. I feel like there's some balancing issues that could help - I always seem to not have enough units to protect the first enemies for example.

Ended up making it to wave 24, then died immediately after I wasn't allowed to buy anything xD

Had a really fun time with it though! I do feel like all the units except for the light units kind of sucked, they were just all pretty undertuned, and it felt like picking any units but the basic ones would always end up screwing me over.

I really enjoyed it though! I'm surprised with how much fun I had considering how simple it was, definitely one of my highlights of the jam! Nice work! ^^

I love the style and how clean are the graphics, hehe I had the impression of being a scientist working in some sort of lab observing how cells move :)

+1 For using Raylib and Makefile I did something super similar in terms of build strategy :)

Solid entry team! Keep it up!

Great idea and fun to play but super hard! It gave me anxiety watching those evil circles floating toward my base while my card timer was just super slowly counting down and there was nothing that I could do.

Love the art style and the music and sound suits the game well. It could probably do with a little balancing but overall, I think it's great!

Awesome game, well polished and super satisfying to play! The tactical element is on point and it requires the player to think ahead. Light units are the best :D

Cool game, quite difficult to play, but that adds to the fun of it. Simple graphics complement the feel of the game well. I would have loved to have some more strategic depth in when I summon more units, instead of always doing it immediately when it becomes available. Good game!

It was nice to play, simple but tasteful) It's good that it's intuitive what to do, without text

Yeyy! I reached wave 27 and slayed 1534 enemies!

At first I said: "Ok, I understood the concept. One more wave and then I'll quit." After the next wave: "Hmm... probably one more wave" After the next wave: "1 Heart! I won't do it any longer! But I WILL NOT GIVE UP! Go go go, Light over there - Medics there. Ah, Archers well done!" I now realize a bit confused, that I actually got carried away :D

gerolmed 2024-04-16 12:17

@huttraeger awesome hahaha!

solis 2024-04-16 16:18

Survived 11 waves, but I will definetely try again!

This was a simplistic yet really polished game, with great soundtrack, the difficulty curve seemed on place and I had a lot of fun playing it!

You nailed the entry, congrats!!

I really like artstyle. It is simple and clear, making it easier to concentrate on the gameplay, which is just as enjoyable

I really liked this game! You guys are great!

viirta 2024-04-17 07:57

Nice work! I like the summoning card mechanics!

unrealkazu 2024-04-17 08:41

Great game, love the waves, and the graphics look good. My biggest tip for improvement would be to have the pathfinding be weighted near the center. Often my troops would run off into a corner and do a big circle sweep, while on the opposite side of the field enemies would be hammering the center.

Wow, this is one of my favorite submissions so far! I didn't understand it immediately at first, but once it clicked I had a blast. I loved the strategic decision making involved with summoning placement, and the simple (but polished) art style was excellent. Great job!

I spent 20 minutes without even noticing! It always feels like crisis management and as soon as my army gets big enough to feel comfortable, it's a reset. Great work! Light units though felt like the only strategy for the first few rounds and experimenting with others just led me to a quick defeat.

I found this really challenging, but provided some interesting choices to make when selecting units and deploying. The only issue I had is that there was no meaningful choice for when to deploy - it felt like I always needed to summon the moment I possibly could, which meant there was no advantage to waiting, and I was often spending a lot of time waiting out the timers. This was frustrating when my little guys were running all on one side of the board and there was no way to prevent enemies on the other side from attacking. That being said, these feel like tunable balance fixes that would be really difficult to have time for during a game jam. Overall the game is polished and fun to play - and it was challenging but I kept coming back to see if I could improve! Great work creating an engaging little game, I had fun!

This tower defense game is very challenging and also has a good theme idea! I would like it if the tower can kill some enemies like the archer in its range. The art is nice. If you add more enemies (maybe a boss), upgrades and many other things, I think this game will be very fun to play. Good job!

aweskybear 2024-04-30 04:04

This was on my list for some time, glad I found the time to get back to it!

You got a very cool game here! **Plus it's *very* similar to mine! XD** I have to say, it seems you made a better game than me xD.. quite a bit more polished, great job! The best about it, as others have mentioned, is that its super intuitive.

I like the graphics and the sound (fitting and hooky), the gameplay is fun and there is variety! Now the only thing (while I am biased due to my own creation) I sometimes really wanted to do stuff I couldn't - e.g. move my army in other parts of the field. But then again, this should push players to do better planning at the beginning when they see how the enemies will be positioned.

Overall, great job : ))
