How dare you... The absolute nerve you must have... To create something THIS awesome in 48 hours using no engine? I tip my hat to you. I'm really amazed and want to take some time to thank you for doing this, bringing the absolute proof to the table that even in a game jam, such as LD, there is room for experimentation and that (unless specified offcourse), the tools do not really matter. As far as the game goes, my kids absolutely loved it, especially the feature they could share URL's with their pizza to one another. Got a great giggle out of it. Unfortunately, they now want to make fresh pizza instead of takeaway :p
Very funny game. Not that much of the theme, but i liked it nevertheless... Pizza Yummy ;)

I was waiting to play this game as soon as I saw the post. It is really simple but I like it. It is like the best part from the "Good Pizza, Great Pizza", only making your own.
Reminds me a bit of good old Pizza Tycoon. I'm never going to say no to a Pizza simulator. Good fun, I do like to see a chill game in this jam. Overall well done!

I really like your take on the theme, using "depths" to mean *layers of chicago pizza* is really creative.
As for the game - I can't really say much, maybe except for the fact that I wished the functions were a bit more explained and not.. vibes-based, I guess? Being able to go through layers easier would be a big plus as well.
But I'm really glad there's an actual pizzagram and you can look through others' creations. Shoutouts to whoever made the 144 layer deep dish!
Overall - great idea, but feels a bit.. UNDERBAKED! Ha haha.. Ha.. Come on now, it wasn't that bad of a joke.
Thanks for the game, keep on making stuff <3

Finally! When the theme was announced, I was afraid we would be flooded with various deep dish pizza simulators with online social features. I am baffled that it took me trying and rating ~45 games before I finally came across this.
And the fact that you can add layers with different toppings and make the pizza truly great and truly deep, is, just, well - chef's kiss.
Please vote for my pizza.
cheers,
Chef Ditam
*(I drew my pizza expecting the play button to go forward rather than backwards...)*
neat stuff man. I can't believe i get to see other peoples finished pizzas too. xD

That's quite the twist to have the animations play backwards like that :P. It was super fun seeing everybody's creations.
One issue I noticed is that the textures seem to load in after the game starts running, which was a bit confusing at first. I would have been happy to wait on a loading screen while the images took their time to download if that meant the game would be ready to go when I started playing.

Really clever idea! What Kind of service did you use to host the pizzagram ?
You should consider using github (or gitlab) for hosting the source, it makes it easier to explore, share and so on. I'd love to add you to my list of github LD entries : https://github.com/stars/dhmmasson/lists/ludum-dare-57-compo
I made a post with some [tips for making a github repository for LD](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/57/focus-hunt/preparing-your-github-repository-for-ludum-dare-57).
@henk Yeah, my image buffer is made in a way i dont need to load images and only have to draw them on my canvas, so sprites get loaded the moment they are needed the first time - i should've loaded all images initially to prevent those flashups :x
@dhim I'm using a database to save the pizzas and made a tiny api to upload them and the likes, noticing just now i didn't wrote PHP as used code, gonna fix that. Have to look into github setup, your link is bookmarked but i'm not sure i got the time rn to get into it and make a repo for this LD - but will use it next time to have a repo up and running, thanks for that post! :)

I never played Pizza Syndicate, but this lil pizza-making game was cute and fun. pizzzzaa.jpg
Pretty cool - took me a while to figure out the placement. Once the compo is over it'd be cool to see a gallery of all the stuff created haha, especially the artistic ones like @jern

I absolutely loved this, so fun to have a little creative tool to make some animations with. Just hats off to you, I really liked the interpretation of the theme. Audio was lovely.
