Very neat idea and some interesting mechanics with a fun theme.
Suggestions: * Have the power be % based so it's quicker/easier to understand. Something like this. int perc = (int)(0.5f + ((100f * Power ) / MaxPower )); * Things move to slowly and it feels sluggish. Have everything move faster Damage, power gained, etc. Punish me for making mistakes and reward me for playing "correctly". * More juice. Screen shake on damage, explosions when I destroy a turret, have the ship sway and float to the movement, etc. This game is would be 10,000% better with some juice.
I understand completely this was done in 48 hours so the suggestions are more if you continue development on it. /Cheers!
