Nice, but it looks like not balanced. money and population grow so fast, so u can't spend it. and can't click so fast to build more energy generators to get enough reputation. But for me it's still nice game, i like it :D
@besslaaneshi Yea.. I ran out of time balancing it. I was trying to do so right up until the deadline and then I just decided to buff everything slightly so you could at least make it to year 200. Money is practically pointless as you get so much so fast it and everything costs so little in comparison. (I was primarily focused on making sure energy supply / demand was somewhat "balanced".) You should be able to last around 225 years if you click CONSTANTLY. :P
Realy had fun with this game !

I usually like clicker games, and this one is not bad at all. Not going to mention the balancing issues, since someone said that already.
I've played to 100 years, but I still don't know what the 'Charge' thing is supposed to do. What exactly am I choosing with that price? I like the idea of cranking up generators though. That's something that I wish more clicker games would use, instead of constant clicking. It's unfortunate that it happens to get like that with enough generators though.
The graphics are okay, but the UI needs a bit of work. There's not enough space on the screen and I wish I didn't need to scroll so much.
Other than that I really liked it. Good job.
Decent, but difficult to figure out. Probably need to play several times to start to understand how the numbers work and what your goal is. Good unique idea though, would like to see how you develop and improve it.
@wizard-exe When I first formulated the idea my mind ran wild with possibilities.. but most of them had to be culled to make it doable in 48 hours.. I had plans for things you could purchase to help curb consumer electricity demand.. or even having an actual map in the scroll area and you'd have to build water wheels at actual sites of water and hook power up to cities. There was a lot that can be done.. there just wasn't enough time in that short weekend to hit all the really cool things.. so I went for the basics and just tried to make that work. :P
Pretty fun, and I liked the sort of inversion of typical incremental games where you're slowly building up and here you're frantically trying to stop everything falling apart. A lot of the game systems did seem kind of opaque--I never really had to worry about money, but I didn't really know how cost or purchases affected satisfaction and reputation. It's also a shame there wasn't unique art for each of the different tile improvements, since by the time I got to anything past steam engines, it was hard to scroll back through my land and see what needed upgrading. Overall it's a fun incremental-style game that sticks pretty well to the theme!
Cool game. I played to year 150 before I died. I agree with Wizard.exe, I would like to see you continue this further.
I guess this could best be classified as a 'clicker' game, yeah? Haven't played many of these (like two. Ever), so I cannot comment on balance. Money was never a problem so I just kept building whatever was latest and greatest.
One think I couldn't stand was the 'bounce back' effect on scrolling. Drove me completely up a wall when scrolling around to fill up facilities.
Hit 252 years and completed the tech tree. Not sure how much money I made because the counter keeps rolling after the game is over.
I got up to year 277 on my second game, waiting for the reputation bar to run down after year 234. Good concept and execution. My only complaint is that I had to use that drop down every time I wanted to buy something!

Simple, yet satisfying concept, i like it.
1. I liked the game. I don't know why exactly, maybe the immediate responsiveness of upgrades and powering stations... But it is a very nice concept. This is something that with some tuning would work for an idle game project.
2. I have no idea about how to get reputation. More than once, I just couldn't help but watching it slowling falling...
3. Great entry. Congrats. I must have been tough to adjust the UI, set the parameters to achieve a playable state etc.

@cornelia-xaos Nice game!
I liked:
The Gameplay- This is much better than the traditional Cookie Clicker like gameplay of idle games. It's actually tense and involves some strategy. Although I personally found it a bit tedious and easy most of the time, it was still fun.
I didn't like:
Lack Of Sound- I would have liked a little background music, as well as sound effects when you buy turbines, solar cells, etc. They would have made the game come together more and be responsive.
Overall really solid game! Good luck!
I dont really like a clicker game but for what it was i think it was implemented well. I would have added some sounds/music to make it more instresting.
Addictive clicker you made there. Few Steam Turbines and a ton of Water Wheels will allow the player to stay the game that long. Clicking while scrolling a wide region was troublesome. A slice of audio would be nice too.
It was annoying having to keep scrolling the entire time to find everything (especially once a lot of land had accumulated beyond 200 years). I would suggest putting everything of one plant type together. Other then that the game was strangely addicting.
Would have really liked some SFX but the animations were nice. Perhaps a little too much information to try and figure out while under the gun for time. A little more feedback on clicks like a wiggle or something would be great. Nice job!
