Cute graphics! Also I liked how the music speed is changed. The difficulty curve is a bit odd, as Level 1 and 2 were a breeze, while Level 3 was pretty hard. Either way, good job!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD39 → Hamster Wheel Simulator

as above, levels 1 and 2 were a brease and level 3 proved completely beyond me to complete :P Fun little thing though, graphics and audio were very suitable!
Going to fast doesn't seem to affect the progression, making level 1 way too easy. The graphics are cool, good job ! :)
Great idea, definitely fitted the theme very well. As others has mentioned the 3rd level is really hard. Good work!
I tried to calibrate it so that the 1st level is too easy, the second level is appropriately difficult, and the third level would be very challenging. Clearly my fingers move too slow for everyone else.
Going too fast was supposed to affect the progression, but like many other features (including the hamster dance song), it didn't quite go in on time. Look for that in the post compo version.
That's, uh, really hard. I'm not finding level 2 easy at all (though 1 was). I can get the speed in a range between 1.8 and 2.2, but the battery barely fills.
I like the effect with the music, and it was a good selection. The hamster graphics are amusing. I wish the interface scaled better, it's hard to read on a 24" screen and the buttons seem pointlessly small.
Really funny! Loved how the audio sped up/slowed down. I really wish that something other than the default Unity text and buttons could be used though. They look out of place with the rest of the game... That being said, I was entertained! Good work!
I'm also stuck on the second level. The art was so cute I wish there was a little something like a happy dance animation for beating a level.
I realised how to beat level 2, but i'm stuck on level 3 now =.=. Nice mechanics and fun to play! I loved the art also, it looks very interesting. I'd like to see better interface, i suppose. The slow-down effect with the sound is great too. Good work! :)
HAHAHA this game was hilarious.
Likes: I love concept. I like how the music starts powering up as you build speed. I also dig the quirky hand painted graphics.
Could improve:
I couldn't beat level two like many people though. I think my forearm is kinda sore now haha.
Funny game though!
Very fun game! The gameplay is unusual, but interesting. I like it! Also I admit a reaally fun graphic and music!! this is 5!!!
Sorry... Linux port appears to be the 32 bit version and needs libraries not installed by default on a 64 bit install. Looks like a Unity game, use the x84_64 or Universal exports so it will play on most Systems (the 32bit might be relevant for someone in a really odd case these days, but I suspect anyone playing games is going to have a 64bit OS)
I uploaded a new linux version which is universal, hope that helps.
I noticed for both windows and linux, the 32 bit versions were default. Why not universal?
I can't get beyond the 2nd level, so it definitely doesn't come off as too easy for me (though I'm Bad at Button Mashing, so that's no surprise). The graphics are charming and the music fits the tone of the game very well
The graphics immediately attracted me to play the game. This is one of the most unique art styles I have seen in any submission in this LD. Along with the nice visuals, the audio fits in really nicely too and creates a combo of an excellent environment. Great one 👍
Edit: the ui could use some touch, the top of the screen kinda brings down the aesthetic experience.
This game was ssoo ttrriippppyy!! I loved the art style and it was super creative how the music followed the speed of the hamster wheel - that DJ element is one of my favorite in games I play (see PinOut) I've never been a fan of games that make me question whether/how much I have carpel tunnel syndrome, but I wouldn't rate your game down for it.
This one's a keeper. Could be great as a mobile game or interactive home screen background. Is it open source?
I found the gameplay a little boring, but the art is amazing!
The art is definitely the high point here :)
An interesting little game~ I thought it'd just be another one of those left-right-to-run games, but it seems you've thrown in the need for timing as well! Certainly makes it a lot harder than usual! The way the music slowed and sped up according to the charging speed was pretty cool, but it certainly did a good job of throwing off my rhythm! Good work!
That third level was pretty rough. I felt like I was slamming the buttons really fast but I was stuck at ~2.0. Nice work on the music, I like the slow down and speed up mechanic of it.
I love the art! I did not complete level 3, I was afraid I could destroy my pad xD
@Cosmo-LC I hadn't thought of opening the source, there isn't any magic in that, but I could put it on github. It was planned to have an android version until I bumbled over finding velocity in Unity. I can do that manually (well I did do it manually, but I didn't average it enough to make it useful - can you give any pointers with working with a GPS in Unity? I get lat/long no problem, but the updates are chunky, and it doesn't automatically give velocity, compared to working with iOS.
But I did write the code to use the GPS instead of the arrows, and it does run on my phone. If I can get the velocity to behave smoothly I'll release the apk.
I loved the crayon art! The hamster was too cute. Gameplay wise, I felt levels 1 and 2 were a little too easy, and level 3 was too hard. I think you did a great job with the music as well.
Anyway, looking forward to the post compo version, and your next LD entry!
That was a pretty fun short game. And I like the hamster and the music thats varying with speed.
Great idea, nice little game. The music is very circus like, which adds some fun and I could totally see it reused.
Sadly wasn't able to beat second level, while I was quite close one time. Third is like mission impossible.
The hand drawings were certainly something different to what I played this LD so far, but I think, they clicked with the game.
