LD39 — Running out of Power

Hamster Wheel Simulator by Laaph 2017-08-03T09:20:17Z

This game was ssoo ttrriippppyy!! I loved the art style and it was super creative how the music followed the speed of the hamster wheel - that DJ element is one of my favorite in games I play (see PinOut) I've never been a fan of games that make me question whether/how much I have carpel tunnel syndrome, but I wouldn't rate your game down for it.

This one's a keeper. Could be great as a mobile game or interactive home screen background. Is it open source?

Towers of Power by terryg 2017-08-01T03:23:28Z

Neato! It was a challenge to have to direct power to the windmills as well as fight off the grunts!

I like where this game is going. I think the bloom effect adds to the style you were looking for. Totally would have given graphics 5 stars had I not gotten SO DIZZY! The camera was panning around all over the place. The slow speed of the character could help the player take in the sheer beauty of the game, or the character speed (at least when pressing shift) could be increased.

Adrift by Brendan Engelman 2017-08-03T08:50:05Z

Good game! It definitely played to the tension-horror. The story was well-written. I like how you portrayed that alien thing. I couldn't beat the game because it attacked me and the first time I ran out of power/oxygen before I could execute all the commands. There were a lot of commands. The music was central to the feeling of horror.

Only on Batteries by Silvae 2017-08-03T09:03:46Z

Excellent! I could just keep going and going... A score could come in the next update. I liked how the light would dim when the batteries ran out, and the addition of the arrow pointing toward the charge station was useful. I liked finding power-ups, but the laser pulses had me shooting in two non-forward directions which made it harder to shoot. What if you added an option to point and move toward the mouse? Thanks!

QTechnologic Quest by BottledMajesticness 2017-08-03T07:28:13Z

Poppy music, interesting game mechanic that was loads of fun, and the robot sounded like a cow! Did y'all know that the levels are randomly generated? I played the game twice to find out. I enjoyed the end screen with plays on Nyan cat, although it was difficult to escape the game! You may find it helpful to add controls explanation to the description, and tell people to start it in windowed mode (if not port it as WebGL)

Marvin's Message by ryluu 2017-08-03T08:16:20Z

ryluu - Your name sounds familiar! I think we met irl. lmurstid? The degrading controls look like a cool mechanic and the screenshots have brilliant cave colors. I wish I could say more: the flash game won't load due to the following error: "Access denied: Anonymous users do not have storage.objects.get access to object itchio/support/Game.swf"

Mashing Power by Kasw 2017-08-03T07:53:13Z

Good resource management game. Also exercises the fingers very well! It took me a few tries to get just one power plant, and I tried to continue, but my fingers were burnt. It kept me engaged and coming back for more.

Crazy-Power-Rush by Zachary Shah 2017-08-03T20:14:13Z

It was a bit confusing as to how the different colored apps decreased your power. What a neat idea for a game though! I could imagine if my Android homescreen suddenly turned into that.
