Cool game! I didn't realize you also need to send wind to the castle.

sugarbyte 2017-08-01 02:57

The music is so great. This is really fun and playful, I could see spending a lot of time on this one! Nice job.

Cool idea, maybe a bit too complex for the description given.

cosmo-lc 2017-08-01 03:23

Neato! It was a challenge to have to direct power to the windmills as well as fight off the grunts!

krathya 2017-08-01 17:22

Looks good! Always loved strategy games and is a nice idea use wind like energy. Good job!

Not enough explanation of the mechanics, either in-game or on this page, so I couldn't get past level 2. Which is a pity because a lot of work has obviously gone into it and it seems like fun.

terryg 2017-08-02 18:55

Hi @winterslice, i will write something up and post it. The wind redirect mechanic needs a better explanation.

kapricorn-media 2017-08-02 21:17

That was fun! Loved the menu! Takes a while to understand the mechanics though!

loadsofmana 2017-08-04 07:23

as many have commented, confusing mechanics, the towers visual feedback when they shoot felt lacking as well

bombjack 2017-08-04 18:30

very good idea that could be pushed further

Really fun idea, needs some polishing. Music generates awesome mood in this game. Good Job!

oparisy 2017-08-05 10:26

Oh! Music! Cool.

That idea of harvesting efficiently an imposed power source is very interesting.

Would have liked some shooting animation for the towers.

Nice entry, however for me it was little bit difficult to get into mechanics, but overall experience is great :) . Music, audio are great, kudos for HTML5 version. And this game is innovative :) .

Thanks @oparisy and @xqwzts251. Great feedback. The cannon balls are animated, they just move too fast. And I need to have a better indication that the tower has changed from an automatic fire to a redirect. Also I think one of the very early levels (like level 2) needs to be a tutorial on how to use the redirect. It is a complicated mechanic. The whole time we were coming up with it, we were like, "wow how are we going to have the gamer learn this?", and our answer was to come up with a nice level that walked you through it...and then we ran out of time. Probably should have made fewer levels and took the time to explain the mechanic. Thanks again, I'm going to try and push a new version soon and leave a link in the game description.

Pretty clever take on the running out of power theme! I'll never look at windmills the same way again. :)

dcrdro 2017-08-11 10:56

Interesting concept, and atmospheric music, but it's too hard to understand how to control and play :\

sumgamstudio 2017-08-15 10:28

Very big company of developers. Game is good. It's a clever TD game. I really like it. But not everybody can understand game mechanics by first playing. Your game can be better, if you make simple tutorial for it. Music is so epic!)

terryg 2017-08-17 03:41

Thanks for the feed back @sumgamstudio. I ended up making some improvements including a tutorial level: http://ludum.daretogame.net/top/
