Pretty cool game to chill out to, especially the music was nice. Not sure if I understood the rules but I got to 68k points. The double spaceship thing was quite original.

thanks man, music wasn't mine but i think it fits. To be fair, i got the idea of the double spaceship while trying to come up with game ideas before the theme was announced (i was gonna do something similar for Parallel World). Anyway, the obstacles have gaps in, the nav system finds and highlights a path through with enough distance for both ships. Spacebar to fire the "Fire Blast",shields are collected and applied automatically and SlowMo's add a half second to the time between spawning obstacles (constantly rising) so effectively slowing the game down a little. thanks for playing, liked the selfie game too.

66k score!

I found myself wishing for it to speed up a bit as I went along, but it was relaxing in a weird way to just sit back, jam to the awesome music and tap left and right to get lined up.

The first time I played I was confused and was trying to aim for gaps, and the second time through I didn't notice the floor-grid was a tool for lining up with the walls.

Once I got those two things down it was off to the races and it was really fun!

Quite fun, the music was really good!

cybersoftuk 2017-08-02 04:10

thanks, given the time i could have explained it a bit better(i think it's the gaps that are off putting), originally it was supposed to be one or more pathways (multiple routes through the obstacles) but after highlighting the path for testing i decided i decided i like them highlighted. Burgee, you may have been getting too many slow mo's because it does get quite fast near the end, thanks all for playing!

I enjoyed your gameplay a lot, and I thought it was unique! I liked the slotting of the spaceships into the correct place, but sometimes I felt like I wanted to be able to see the correct lanes better (often the obstacles were so far off it was hard to line it up until the last second).

cybersoftuk 2017-08-02 04:32

thanks, i find when playing it i switch to looking at one ship more than the other for alignment depending on if the pathways are more to the left than the right, it makes lining in up easier on the grid.

I quickly understood it, Pretty fun and good pick of music !

This was a good game. The music was very good and fitting as well. I was able to quickly understand how to play (Aside from the tutorial at the beginning) and I achieved a pretty high score on my first run compared to my following ones. One thing I think I noticed is that on the first run it got progressively harder, but after my first run the walls remained very close together as soon as I started instead of gradually getting closer, which made it more difficult to achieve a higher score than my previous ones. Other than that, it was well done and fun to sit back and enjoy a good game. Great job!

thanks guys. The rewards (Shield, Slow Motion, Fire Blast Unit) are randomly selected on a fixed interval (Fire Blast units 2x more often) and i think that each session i get results that sway towards more of the same item, i think this might be the way the random numbers are chosen, i would have liked a better random number generator. @obidubi sounds like you had a lack of Slow Motion rewards..

Interesting game! My only real problem with the gameplay is that sometimes it could be hard to understand if I was even going to line up with the openings or if I would only be one "tile" away or something. It can become pretty addicting though, and if that problem could somehow be fixed then even more so!

cybersoftuk 2017-08-02 09:27

yeah, it can be difficult to line everything up, i find that switching your view between both spaceships helps and you usually find one ship to be easier to line up depending on which side of the screen you are leaning more towards (which i actually like - darting left/right with your eyes, two points of reference to check), i would say it is due to the ships being 3D cubes and a static position on the camera so the view of the ships change and certain angles are more difficult to line up on the grid than others but it is a reactionary speed based game, thanks for playing, much appreciated.

Good call on highlighting the path to take, that would've been a nightmare otherwise. Lining yourself up correctly might be slightly hard but I got used to it quickly. Reminds me of the Battletoads ramps and how finicky they were to hit, but it was still fun. I actually really like the UI design up top. Maybe its easy for you but I personally have trouble with doing stuff like that.

cybersoftuk 2017-08-04 13:57

thanks man, yeah i agree but that was the concept really, two positions to check. I originally designed everything for a 4:3 screen (not sure why i thought the web version couldn't go full screen) so the HUD was bigger before i decided to scale the screen to a 16:9 (stretched 90% of the width - looked much better) but scaling the UI in unity didn't look right (the text was off) and i didn't have the time to re-create it, so i left it original. The HUD didn't take too long (it's kinda basic, i'm just glad i took off the crappy icons from the tutorial screen) but i like the way it turned out (aside from the scaling..). We all have those in different areas, that's why i like the idea of these jam's. Thanks for checking my game out.

hihi. feeling like rytm game

aterlamia 2017-08-20 14:59

Like others before me i had a little trouble lining up but i got use to it (i am still not he greatest at these kind of game). Was enjoyable to play with a good matching soundtrack i think

Nice. Great use of the music. It reminds me of this:

Fun game, it definately got me in the "zone". One thing that I found is that I can just ignore one of my ships, and as long as I aim for the green with one of them I'll be fine which kind of defeats some of the purpose of the design I think. Though it would be much harder, perhaps adding a mechanic to adjust the distance between the ships would add some interesting depth to the game.

simplepotential 2017-08-20 17:10

Not bad. Took me a while to figure out what I was aiming for. Music was really good

belga54 2017-08-20 17:35

Great work for your first entry. The music was so cool. The graphics was so simple. Still a good game !

doccrazy 2017-08-20 17:38

I think you missed a chance here to make this rhythm-based, as the music is great and perfectly fits the theme. As it is, it gets repetitive pretty quickly as there doesn't seem to be any difficulty progression. Overall, great first entry, keep it up!

yuigoto 2017-08-21 03:36

Nice job on your first entry and good job at releasing it here! :) The game kinda reminded me a bit of a Tron-like world, and the 80's styled music kinda reinforced that to me. The game's controls felt a bit hard to me, don't know why, in the first play, but after I got used to them I didn't feel that.

The game starts feeling a bit repetitive after some time, but it's the kind of danger that games in this style tend to have, but doesn't take anything from the playing experience.

Good work there! Keep making! ;)

Thanks a lot for feedback from everyone who played it, it's much appreciated! See you all on the next one!
