An interesting game, with some cool mechanics but I found that it took me a while to learn to play. It also froze once.

An interesting game, with some cool mechanics but I found that it took me a while to learn to play. It also froze once.
Funny sound effects and challenging gameplay.
A beautiful and well polished game. But very frustrating to play.
Very cool game, with a great concept and execution.
A really funny game and I love the narration. But unfortunately I couldn't jump onto the first platform, the jump height was too low. Is this a bug? If so did you put the jump code in FixedUpdate?
A fun to play game with good level design and some cool mechanics.
A really well made and charming game. Great puzzle design and I love the cut-scenes. The only thing I would change would be the move speed.
A very funny game with a great immersive feel.
Nice game. I like the simple art style and music.
It has a nice look and feel, with an interesting mechanic. But I thought that it was a bit too easy.
Definitely the funniest game I've played so far. A great game in every aspect and despite the repetitive gameplay the game doesn't get repetitive.
Great art and a nice feel.
A funny game, with a nice art style. But a bit too difficult for me.
Fun game. The graphics and music are amazing. I think I found a bug if you go to the very top left you can jump out of the map onto the top.
Really great game. It's fun just flying around and blowing up ships, I also like how you can upgrade your ship at any time.
Weird, but a good weird and has great music.
A fun game with a nice soundtrack.
I really like the whole look and feel of the game, its a very nice and relaxing experience. But I found it a bit awkward too play and I think fixing the lighting will help a lot.
Fun to play and a great mechanic, but I came across a few bugs.
A challenging game with nicely designed puzzles. But the sound effects get really annoying.
I liked the retro feel of the game, but the aiming was just too awkward for me. Perhaps using the mouse to aim and having turret rotate slowly towards the mouse would be better.
A really fun and interesting idea with a lot of potential. But i'm missing the connection to the theme.
A great game with a unique style.
Super difficult, but once you light a match its worth it just for the sense of accomplishment.
A brilliant game that is fun to play and beautiful to look at. My only advice would be to add some sort of indicator as to where the viking is going to attack, e.g. where the mouse is.
Great work with the lighting and feel of the game. But I found it a bit confusing, due to the bugs and lack of tutorial.
Beautiful graphics and music, but I didn't quite get the goal or the controls.
Fun game. I enjoyed the gameplay and thought that the lighting and rain sound really added to the feel.
An interesting game, that is really well made and polished. However I found the font difficult to read, which is annoying as the game mostly relies on the text.
It's a fun game. I personally think that the music is a bit too relaxing for the gameplay.
Great work, you really nailed the eerie feel. It was just missing some monster sound effects. I came across a bug and was stuck in a wall.
I really liked the game textures and the art style. The battery counter didn't seem to work for me. The camera was at an odd height and I think an over shoulder or top-down camera would work better.
Such an adorable game. Loved the art style and music.
Great work for a first game. The decreasing fire rate is a nice touch. But I agree with the others, increased enemy spawn rate and a way to gain energy would be nice.
A great puzzle game, I love the mechanic it really makes you plan ahead and I think the minimalist style works really well. But clearing blocks I found to be a bit awkward.
Sorry about that, it should be working now.
Cool game. I love the feel of the game especially the eerie soundtrack.
A very impressive game with a surprisingly large amount of content.
A beautiful and well made game. I came across a bug where I couldn’t press anything after playing once and then relaunching. Restarting fixed it.
A really well made experience that feels and looks great.
A good game with some nice mechanics, but I think it would play better if you increased the speed.
A good game with some nice mechanics, but I think it would play better if you increased the speed.
Beautiful game. You did a great job with story telling and I thought that the controls and camera setup really added to the immersion.
A nice looking game with an interesting mechanic. Its fun to play, but a bit buggy.
A great and well designed game. The levels and puzzles are well designed and challenging.
Took me a while to figure out how to play. I liked the music and the graphics especially, some of the window details.
A beautiful and fun to play game. Would make a great mobile game.
A really beautiful game that reminds me of no man's sky style.
A great game with a really nice old feel. The gameplay and disappearing map are perfect and really capture the running out of power theme.
A brilliant game and a really clever take on the theme. Definitely one of my favourites.
A very interesting idea. Well done.
It's a cool concept and you've put a lot of polish into it. I found the controls a bit difficult to figure out and didn't really know how using the boosts or navigation affected the ship's position. I think if you made the radar's screen larger and added some real-time visual feedback it would help.
Wow. It's such a beautiful game. The trail gameplay with the cube would have been fun just by itself. It's really smart how you linked it with the cube's self-discovery.
It's not often that I feel a real connection with a game, but you guys managed to do it.
Is the orange screen the end? Is there an end?
A great little game. It would be cool if added a way to keep the knight alive for longer, like powerups maybe.
It's a neat take on the theme, which made some good opportunities for humour and you used them really well. It's a very funny game.
A nice little game. I liked the graphics and thought it had a good feel. I found it was lacking a strategy though.
An interesting idea and well polished.
I think you need more ways to reduce the population or maybe a limit on it. Screenshot (45).png
A fun game, really nice responsive controls and a nice visual style. Didn't really get how the ram space worked with the gameplay.
A great concept and I found it really interesting to hear the unique combinations made. Couldn't quite figure it out completely or a working strategy.
It's nice to see an .io game in the jam. It's well made and the power and economy element sound interesting. But the matches I played were too short to properly try it out. Maybe increase the map size or have pauses between map decreases, like in other battle royale games.
Really funny and entertaining. A loose condition would make it a bit more challenging, but it's still a great deal of fun to play.
A funny game with great use of assets.
Fun game with a really great feel to it. I could see it working really well as an educational game for kids. It's got a good message, some facts and really fun.
Great work for your first jam. The core gameplay is solid given the time, but the controls let it down. Personally, I think it would work better if forward was the direction the mouse is facing instead of a fixed direction.
Great visuals and soundtrack. Fun to play and well polished. Well done
Love the style and it's a great take on the theme. It would be interesting to see the achievements linked directly with the gameplay in some way. And sharper controls would be better.
Really perfected that game feel. Great work
A nice and really polished take on a classic
I think this tells a really important message that a lot people, including me, aren't aware of. Great work!
I don't normally like rhythm games but this is a nice take on it. After I figured out how to play, it was pretty fun and really well polished. Great work guys!
@memel06 The green lines are the food and the blue blocks are the water.
@xmpted Yeah it definitely needed more play testing, thanks for the feedback :)
@exevalon Thanks for the feedback :) My guess is that that bug is due to the ai being trained badly / not for long enough.
@sn4pi Yeah, for what should be a relaxing game it's pretty stressful.
@lagrume-masque Thanks, glad you had fun playing my buggy mess :)
@blaster391 Thanks! I think if I trained it better and playtested more it could make a fun little game.
The AI in the final game took about 3 hours to train, which included a seperate sheep AI and wolf AI. However, I trained a previous more simple sheep AI on its own in about an hour. That performed better than the final one, but I decieded not to use version control soooo :(
This was basically my first time using it and neural networks really. And it shows in some areas, I didn't change any of the hyperparameters and I didn't train it very well.
I'd be interested to hear more about your dissertation.
@blaster391 That's ok, I'm terrible with replying. That's very interesting work. I'd really like to see someone that half knows what they're doing make a game with it. Do you reckon you'll ever use in a game? Ludum Dare 45 maybe?
@scott-redrup Thanks! So for the drawings basically all it does is load in the points for a drawing and display it in Unity using a line renderer. But doesn't make any changes to the image or generate a new one, which is why I've removed the graphics rating. The next step would be to generate drawings using a generative adversarial network, basically [this](https://hackernoon.com/catgan-cat-face-generation-using-gans-f44663586d6b).
I've added the [source](https://github.com/player2point0/LD44)
@zanagi Thanks for the feedback!
A great take on the theme, that's well polished. I found the controls to be a bit awkward though
A nice take on the theme and great graphics
Seems like this would be a really fun competitive game. Nice work!
Fun game with great polish
