Wow man that's a quite awesome effect the map one, and the music gives the game a relaxing touch :D

Congratulations!

ikstreamivo 2017-07-31 10:00

Great game! Great effect with the map and the music fits really well!

pietptr 2017-07-31 12:24

Interesting theme for the game, it got kinda hectic because there only seemed to be 1 police unit and 1 technical unit.

wevel 2017-07-31 12:36

Nice map and I really like the music, took seems to be quite difficult with only one of each unit

theflyingkeyboard 2017-08-01 12:17

Really nice map with fun gameplay idea. I think that it really lacks music.

shito 2017-08-01 12:19

Nice game, I really liked the mood of the game. Would have liked to have more police unit. ^^

reizoukin 2017-08-01 12:21

Fantastic idea for a game! Love the style and music. A bit bummed that the difficulty only scaled by making the gangs more frequent. Would've been cool to have different kinds of enemies or different police/technical units. Overall really cool!

windclay 2017-08-01 13:14

I love the style of this game and the music, however the gameplay is a bit hard because if i'm correct we only have one police squad.

pip-turner 2017-08-01 14:05

Love the game & visual style! Would love to see the idea expanded upon - maybe take some queues from mini metro? More squads would have been welcome to help scale.

machinescreen 2017-08-01 17:22

Ridiculously stylish and a very cool interpretation of the theme.

simonhutchinson 2017-08-01 21:11

Awesome. Best game I've played so far. A bit frustrating, but I think that's just part of the game, and it's made up for in all of the attention to detail. Great work for 72 hours!

logiraffe-shawn 2017-08-02 03:15

Definitely could use a bit more balancing if there were more dev time (I'd love the ability to add police units or upgrade the street lights), but both of those are only issues because I loved this theme so much I want the game to last longer. I think this is my favorite take on the theme so far, and you set the tone PERFECTLY for it!

I feel so bad for that poor gendarme :joy:

phlip45 2017-08-02 04:20

Really liked the mood of this one. Simple controls work well and the music is chosen very well. I'm guessing sound and graphics aren't available to vote on because they were taken from somewhere else, but it is still a really well rendition of the theme.

condensate 2017-08-02 04:58

This is a really cool interpretation of the theme. Really like the map fading mechanic, and the stylized art. The difficulty seems a little bit high though. My police squadron was totally unable to stop all the revolutionaries. Overall, a really good entry!

huvaakoodia 2017-08-03 10:17

I love the idea and the aesthetic.

The police squadron doesn't seem to affect the rapscallions at all. That surely is a bug? The maintenance team does work, and boy do they have to work overtime to patch up for the ineffective police force.

More (functional) police squads and technical staff would have been ace. Something along the lines of [Atom Zombie Smasher](http://blendogames.com/atomzombiesmasher/). Worth playing that, if you haven't already.

Good work.

stephen-meyer 2017-08-03 20:22

I was just going to say how much it reminded me of Atom Zombie Smasher, but the last comment beat me to it. Since it isn't my favorite style of gameplay, the thing that sold me on AZS and your game was the great atmosphere and mood. Choosing a time period and place that people will already have some familiarity with and then tying together beautiful music and images to evoke it is a brilliant strategy for a game jam (rather than building a world from scratch). Impressive work.

colestia 2017-08-03 21:41

Thanks for the recommendations of Atom Zombie Smasher! Hadn't heard of it before but it definitely looks relevant. If I get the time to make a second version I'll be sure to give it a look. And thanks to everyone for the feedback as well :)

omriysh 2017-08-04 21:46

Oh, this is cool. This is REALLY cool. I'm really smiling right now. It's so simple and elegant, and so fun! The graphics and more importantly - the aesthetic are beautiful, and I'm just in awe. It's original, it's polished, it's simple, it's fun, it's gorgeous, it sounds great - it's just so so so good.

raaaahman 2017-08-05 13:48

Awesome concept, game plays very well, simple to use but becoming harder and harder. Well you are doomed by the fact you can't really grow your force while the revolutionnaries are becoming a massive army, so it could be extended by giving more squads/tools to the player.

Music and graphics give a really good old school feeling, and the disappearing map is top notch. Good job!

peachtreeoath 2017-08-06 20:53

I love out of the box concept for games. Brilliant portrayal of chaos uprising using just a map and its appearance. Agreed with others that you could expand on this later with upgrades and such, but as is you have a very nice fundamental concept going on and it's fun to just play and maximize the logistics of your units.

player2point0 2017-08-06 21:57

A great game with a really nice old feel. The gameplay and disappearing map are perfect and really capture the running out of power theme.

franklins-ghost 2017-08-07 05:14

Very nice unique entry. Enjoyed the whole background story and thought it was well conveyed to the player with minimalist graphics. That map and music worked so well together and really increases the intensity of playing when you see an area disappear. Great entry.

pavelsovushkin 2017-08-07 15:23

Cool style idea!

levidsmith 2017-08-09 03:52

I lasted for 2:21. I really couldn't tell if dispatching the police made a difference in stopping the bad guys (red circles). It seemed like the technicians (yellow circles) did repair the lights, but I wish there was some indication of which lights were being repaired. I did like the effect of the map being erased as the lights are destroyed.

jotson 2017-08-10 14:19

Linux build works! Map effect was really cool. Music was a good choice. I think this was an original take on the theme. Game got pretty difficult as time went on. Might be good to allow the player to buy additional police and tech units to keep up with the revolutionaries. It'd become more like a tower defense style game.

franfox 2017-08-11 10:04

I'm trying on Mac but I can't play it because I can't exit the tutorial screen. This is how I see the game:

rothens91 2017-08-15 21:20

Very interesting mechanic with very nice implementation!

derpyjish 2017-08-17 18:44

Definitely a unique take on the theme! Well done! things felt a little tedious what with there only being one police officer and one tech squad, but with a little extra work you've definitely got yourself an interesting RTS/Puzzle game. That, and you've already got a very nice feel to the game going as well! *Bien joué*

will-d 2017-08-18 10:47

I love the concept and the visuals. Really smart and the way the map fades is really powerful. I guess the slight trouble is that, because all the colours are quite muted, which makes sense aesthetically, it becomes a bit difficult to work out the difference between all the different dots. As other people have said in their comments, this seems like a game that has loads of room for further development: developing gameplay, narrative elements, etc. Great work so far.
