Lights Out by MikomiKisomi 2017-08-10T20:39:39Z
I like the story and I like the artwork but I couldn't understand what the light turning on and off mechanic was for.

Took me a while to work out what to do. No indication of that in game so I had to go back to your LD page to find that out. Once I did, it was a funny little sim. I liked the humour of the newspaper articles and the sense you got of being in a small town where not much happens so people have time to get themselves worked up about various energy sources. It felt a bit random at times so I was just firefighting issues that came up rather than being punished for putting all my eggs in one basket. I know there's a certain element of that in a lot of sims but I think ideally you have a bit of a mixture of events triggered by your actions and deus ex machina events. Oh and I loved the eagle graphics! Overall, nice work.
I really really liked this. I liked the minimalism of the interaction and how it forces you into feeling there are no choices. You created meaning and told a story through gameplay brilliantly in a really short space of time. Great effort.
I love the concept and the visuals. Really smart and the way the map fades is really powerful. I guess the slight trouble is that, because all the colours are quite muted, which makes sense aesthetically, it becomes a bit difficult to work out the difference between all the different dots. As other people have said in their comments, this seems like a game that has loads of room for further development: developing gameplay, narrative elements, etc. Great work so far.
