Love the fade with the eye! Interesting game. I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvWeoxTQbD4

Very nice game! The gameplay mechanic is really interesting, as well as the mood. Congratulations to the team!
Brilliant graphic, audio and mood. I especially like the lighting system and the :eye: sounds (how do they even make sounds???). Very smooth controls too.
The major issue: where's the theme? The light never runs out, I was expecting to happen any moment. You never lose control of the character or become hindered in any other way either, in fact by the end I was an expert in dodging eyesight. The theme just isn't here as far as I'm concerned.
Good entry apart from the previous gripe. Fine work.
(You gotta give more ratings to get more eyeballs, just fyi.)
@huvaakoodia thanks for playing. I'm glad you enjoyed the game.
In our take on the theme, we knew that "Running out of power" clearly had some mechanical implications, which we deliberately wanted to avoid, giving the player the sense of powerlessness without a physical power meter and battery pickups. As you noted, you expected the light to run out at any moment, which I like to think helps to deliver more atmosphere. Another way you could look at it is that they eyes are only "powered up" when the light is on them, so in a way, it's the enemies who run out of power, rather than the player.
Either way, thanks so much for playing and rating - it all means a lot to us. :)
Great game, one the best I’ve seen so far! I’m absolutely in love with the visual style. Atmosphere is really tense and it’s interesting how I got the feeling that my torch was going out even though that was not the case (so I think your game fits the theme).
Only negative thing I have is this little bug I found: My strategy to avoid eyeballs was hugging the walls constantly. Sometimes when there was something behind the wall in reach of the light and I was positioned close enough the wall, light would show up behind the wall and sometimes reveal eyeballs without triggering them.

That little bug aside, congrats on creating a masterpiece!
