LD38 — A Small World

liftoff by Remco 2017-05-19T01:34:30Z

Great game! I enjoy playing this trading games very much and yours was quite good. If you decide to continue working on this game later on I would recommend that you make upgrades available for your ship using the energons and to add bar for hull and damage to motivate the player to be more careful on landing. Good work :)

P.S If you would like to rate my game I would be so grateful. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/there-shall-be-light

My world by Erkberg 2017-04-28T15:05:04Z

I loved it Erk. Very simple and very beautiful. Congrats :)

Tooth decay by Ithildin 2017-05-19T03:34:01Z

I loved it. Its addictive and not frustrating at all :D. No really playing it was real fun. Good work :) P.S Thanks for rating my game :)

Every World Has a Pizzeria by Lucas Trevisan 2017-05-18T13:18:55Z

Great game. The most amazing thing about it is that it was really so fun to play and I think it has the potential to get you profit because people will love to play it. You will need to add upgrades and power ups if you are going to extend it though. Good work :)

The Hungry Planet by madalaski 2017-05-18T14:34:46Z

Great game! I enjoyed playing it but I think it needs more to be added to motivate you to keep going. Still, considering the time frame and you said you worked 40% of it I think the output is pretty decent :)

Small World by Calzep 2017-05-19T05:38:54Z

Very nice! I enjoyed playing this game and obviously you put a lot of effort in it. I hope you continue working on it because there is great potential there. Good job :)

P.S Thank you for rating my game :) By the way why does it say Ludum Dare 35 at the top of the start screen?!

Cathode Way by garethiw 2017-05-18T00:03:10Z

Simply AMAZING! Great work guys. Very innovative idea. Awesome :)

Human Tragedy by tiffi 2017-05-18T14:03:02Z

One of the best games I've played in this Ludum dare. The ending was great. For a second there I actually thought he was gonna .... (you know :D ) But thankfully the way you did it was great. Great work :)

Dreamers World by applejam 2017-05-18T20:12:29Z

I loved the graphics and animation in the game is really nice and original but I have to say I thought it was too short. I would have loved to have something to keep me fighting and the good thing I really think you can turn this into a really great game. You just need to add some upgrades or power ups it could be very simple stuff but it will encourage the player to keep going. But again I know how hard it is to do this much in such a short time so good work :)

Spider Royale by superjai 2017-05-18T20:57:45Z

The concept is very new may be even unique but the game was so hard for me to be honest. Really great work on the movement and the smooth animation of the legs. Good job :)

Cell Wars by pjnovas 2017-05-19T00:38:07Z

I enjoyed playing this game a lot. It would help if the marks on the power ups were clearer or if the name of each one would appear when you get it because I still don't know what some of them do :)

DEFEND YOUR TINY WORLD! v1.1 by Dragojt 2017-05-17T23:52:50Z

Great game! I love the style very much and I think it has the potential to be something much bigger.

Stellar Swarm by mostlyHydrogen 2017-05-18T12:47:32Z

Very nice! The shooting and delay mechanic was great. I would recommend that you make full screen mode available or zoom in more to be able to enjoy the game more and not strain the eye. Good work :)

Dung Beetle by Louspirit 2017-05-19T21:26:36Z

The idea is new and the graphics are really cool but for me the controls were too difficult. I'm not used to games that tests your control of movement so may be that was just me. Also the animation of the beetle was too scary :D But all in all well done :)

There shall be light by FuriousWitch 2017-05-01T22:16:02Z

@gozz Thanks a lot for your encouragment. I know a lot was missing. It was my first time in Ludum dare and I didn't manage my time very well. I totally agree; the sounds would have added a lot to the game :)

There shall be light by FuriousWitch 2017-05-01T22:30:31Z

@james-dunlap Thanks for checking out the game and your feedback. I know forgetting to add the winning and losing condition was really crazy. It kind of killed the game although it was very easy to implement but I totally forgot until it was too late. By the way the creatures would have reached the portal if you didn't surround it with the torches because the magic barrier gets smaller every little while. So ye don't underestimate those devils :D

I'm so happy that you like the light as a weapon. I didn't adapt it from another theme idea that was my idea for this theme. I actually never try thinking about the idea before any game jam.

I added the camera controls because some objects would have been too small if the camera was zoomed out to get the scene together but I think next time I will add a page with the controls before the game starts to avoid confusion. Thanks again :)

There shall be light by FuriousWitch 2017-05-01T22:46:12Z

@erkberg Hey Erk, really great thanks for the kind words. I thought about using the portal to go to other scenes and increasing the difficulty but the problem is that the scope was bigger than the time so I guess what I learned is that I need to think with smaller scope in mind the next time to be able to finish it.

I guess the movement could be faster. I noticed that now. I will fix it after the results of the jam in sha' Allah.

Yes the sound is one of my greatest regrets :( I see how it could make an impact on the game play experience and I will be careful with that in later jams and will add it as well after the results in sha' Allah.

Thanks a lot Erk :)

There shall be light by FuriousWitch 2017-05-18T14:43:02Z

@garethiw Thanks a lot for your kind words it keeps me going. I am currently extending the game much more than it is but I can't replace the versions until the judging is done but I think it will turn out to be something much better :)

There shall be light by FuriousWitch 2017-05-18T14:44:32Z

@gama-croma You are absolutely right. I will be changing that in the future versions in sha' Allah. Thanks a lot for your feedback :)

There shall be light by FuriousWitch 2017-05-18T23:02:59Z

@louspirit Thanks a lot for playing the game and for your feedback. Yes the AI is very dumb at the moment but its not really about fighting the AI as much it is about being efficient in blocking your enemies. But I guess I could make some minor changes to the AI. I will see about that. Thanks again :)

There shall be light by FuriousWitch 2017-05-19T03:41:28Z

@wisstopher Thank you for your feedback and kind words. Yep, the p key was a mistake :) I'm currently working on it and will send you a link to see latest version soon and hear your feedback on it as well. Thanks a lot for your interest :)

P.S I rated your game. Cool style :)

There shall be light by FuriousWitch 2017-05-19T03:47:48Z

@ithildin Thank you for your feedback. Yes, I know there was a lot to be done and so a lot was left out :D I actually fixed all that stuff and the game now is much more interesting but I will upload the new version after the judging is over. As for the torch mechanic yes a lot will be added in this department in sha' Allah. Thanks again :)

P.S I rated your game. Very nice and well polished :)

There shall be light by FuriousWitch 2017-05-19T04:05:27Z

@riker-greenslade Thanks a lot for your kind words, I really appreciate it :)

There shall be light by FuriousWitch 2017-05-19T04:30:43Z

@tex-killer Thank you for your feedback and your kindness. Most of the bugs are fixed now in the latest version that I'm working on. Yes killing them was intended and part of the original game although I removed it in the latest version. As for the enemy spawning I already came up with something although not parachutes (That would have been hilariuos though :D) Thanks again. I also rated your game. Good work :)

There shall be light by FuriousWitch 2017-05-19T04:58:29Z

@tex-killer You are welcome :)

It's Intel(R)HD Graphics Family. It's my built in graphics card. My laptop has two cards the other one is NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M. I just tried opening the game using the later and it shows the character fine. And I found out the music was affected badly as well when using the Intel card.

There shall be light by FuriousWitch 2017-05-19T05:35:33Z

@tex-killer You're welcome and thank you. So how did you know about my blog?!:) And in case I need your very helpful feedback again is this your twitter account: steve gonzo @texkiller

There shall be light by FuriousWitch 2017-05-19T15:10:19Z

@tex-killer Yes, I saw that. Really hope we keep in touch. Silly me! I was worried my blog has gone viral :D I don't want people to see it at the moment because I need to redesign the bg and some other stuff. I am kind of ashamed of it a little at the moment :D I will put Twitter URL instead and thanks for the advice I wasn't aware of the conflict that could cause.

There shall be light by FuriousWitch 2017-05-19T15:27:43Z

@daisychubb Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words. I really appreciate it :) P.S I rated your game. Very cute. Good job :)

There shall be light by FuriousWitch 2017-05-19T15:36:03Z

@remco Thank you for your funny words :D You won't lose ever because unfortunately I forgot to add the winning and losing conditions in the first version. So I guess the best thing to do after placing the torches around to keep them at bay is what you did; Harass them :D Yes, it's pretty funny when they scurry away from the torch. Come get some fire you little ... things :D

There shall be light by FuriousWitch 2017-05-19T15:40:55Z

@calzep Thank you for your feedback and let me say to you; you are entitled to your in game suicidal thoughts and actions :D (That gave me some laughs) The good thing is all this stuff is fixed now in the latest version that I will share after the judging in sha' Allah. I will be working afterwards on adding new content to the game to expand it too in sha' Allah. Thanks again :) P.S I rated your game. Great work :)

Suds of War by James Dunlap 2017-05-17T23:02:46Z

Nice game and he water effects were really cool but a bit laggy on the web version. I died early but didn't know how to spawn my ships :(

Match the Fleas by DaisyChubb 2017-05-19T15:25:46Z

Great work there. Its really amazing that this is your first game and you managed to make graphics, sound and code by yourself. Impressive really:)

If there is one thing you can do to make the game even more interesting it would be to add levels of difficulty by increasing the amount of fleas so that it gets harder to remember and may be to limit the number of attempts so that the player need to pay attention at the beginning. Good job :)

Escapist ! by Number6406 2017-05-18T19:27:54Z

Nice game and it must have taken you a lot of effort to finish in such a short amount of time. There is a lot of calculations in the game for the resources and build stuff and it is working very smoothly. I think you needed to spend a little more time on the polish though to make it more lively. A little better graphics and may be full-screen mode would have made a lot of difference but I know the time frame was not helping I myself had a lot to be done in my game so all in all great work :)

Space Pow Collins by wisstopher 2017-05-19T03:20:23Z

I liked the style of the game very much. I admit I felt very frustrated at the beginning but then I came here and found that some people actually were able to play it(which means I have to do it to know that I'm not stupid :D ) so I tried again and it was really fun to play. I played this style a long time ago and its a really interesting style. I think there is room for a lot to be added in later versions. Good job :) P.S Thanks for rating my game :)

Warpy's World by Nilanjan 2017-05-18T20:47:00Z

Great game! I loved the graphics specially so much. Good job :)

Barbuglio by pataya 2017-05-17T23:42:18Z

Very simple and the music and sound effects really great :)

Smell World by sgadrat 2017-05-18T23:35:48Z

Nice simple game. I liked the mouse movement. I think you didn't need to make procedural generated levels. You could have made just two or three static levels but with more challenge and interesting things like the stuff you intended to do with the traps and so. It is generally more important to do one interesting level than to do many not as interesting levels. But still you did great and with the procedural generation done you can now advance your game to the next level :)

Blobbery by Odefus 2017-05-18T00:24:13Z

Good work and interesting platformer. I agree with arch-a-type though, a much smaller level but with more variety in enemies and rewards would have been better and more interesting to the player but all in all good work :)

Talk Isn't Cheap by Riker Greenslade 2017-05-19T04:02:18Z

I loved the idea so much and gameplay is flawless. Graphics is beautiful and your use of sound is exceptional Really great job I loved it :)

Tiny Defender by AlexisGea 2017-05-18T22:56:40Z

Amazing game I absolutely love it! This is actually one of the best games I played this Ludum Dare (I'm talking top 3). I don't know about some of the comments here I thought it was very good specially considering the time frame. If you decide to extend this project after LD (which you have to, seriously) I would recommend making more turrets and may be upgrades and power ups and more enemies like space ships or something else. I would buy this game when you finish it just tell me when you do. Great job :)

Carmina's World by Maximo Pech 2017-05-19T00:26:15Z

Very nice game! I recommend giving some sort of hints for the player. It was fun to play. Good work :)

Little Scout by Tex Killer 2017-05-19T04:23:43Z

Great game and the mechanics are pretty neat. There is a bug that appeared on my machine only I think which is that the character is simply a white rectangle. I actually thought at first that the file is corrupted but then I tried to move and it moved. I played the whole level with the rectangle and it was fun though. I found there was an actual character when I came here to comment :D Good work :)

LD39 — Running out of Power

The adventure of Dotty by Erkberg 2017-08-22T06:06:41Z

Amazing game, Erk! As always you make such a moving story and the music was fantastic. I loved playing it. The voice-over was a great idea and very well done too. Congratulations :)

Archimedes 2029 by Brickkid512 2017-08-22T05:36:42Z

Nice game and the mechanics are kinda new. I enjoyed playing it but to be honest it became a little boring fast. I think it needs more action may be. But the concept is very new and interesting and you made so much in a little time. Well done :)

P.S If you would like to check my game that would be great. Thanks :)

Super Reflux Powergrid Defense! by commanderstitch 2017-08-22T13:02:00Z

This game has a lot of potentials. The problem is that I didn't know how to play it even after I read the instruction you wrote here. I clicked on the towers but it doesn't seem to work. The pros are the graphics are very good and the concept is very interesting as well. Good job :)

P.S If you would like to check my game that would be great. Thanks :)

Carrot Labyrinth by daneestar 2017-08-22T13:23:29Z

Very nice game! I loved especially what you did with the music when the power was going down. The graphics were very nice and the polish of the game really good. I agree about the difficulty in squeezing in in some spots but it was not a big deal just something to improve. Good job :)

Starship by wesley werner 2017-08-22T15:49:04Z

Ionium by broken-matrix 2017-08-22T15:28:02Z

Nice concept! I liked the view of the camera and mechanics of the game but it was too difficult for me. Maybe decrease the steps?

P.S IF you would like to play and rate my game that would be great. Thanks :)

p o w e r ARM by xand 2017-08-22T11:10:36Z

I loved this game so much! Really great job.

I don't see any cons except for the white screen at the beginning made me think the game is broken or my pc can't show the graphics. Also, it would be better if I didn't need to use the mouse. Other than that everything was very nice and the graphics were so beautiful and the fight scenes well-done.

Congratulations :)

P.S If you would like to check my game that would be great. Thanks in advance :)

Radrover Snap!! by radmars 2017-08-22T05:29:44Z

I absolutely loved this game. It was such a strange and unexpected experience. Great job!

Doctor Duck by ViKingGames 2017-08-22T15:12:10Z

Awesome! One of the best games I played in this jam. Well done :)

P.S If you would like to play and rate my game I would be really grateful. Thanks :)

Argon by ristoretto 2017-08-22T02:35:34Z

Great work! I loved the mechanics and the graphics are very nice. The game was very difficult for me though. Maybe you could make the start easier and then increase the difficulty along the way. But all in all really good job :) P.S If you would like to check my game and rate it that would be great. Thanks in advance.

StaminaAid by kidando 2017-08-22T14:38:24Z

Very nice and solid game! The music was really catchy. The jump was very difficult to use though. Great work :)

P.S IF you would like to play and rate my game that would be great. Thanks :)

Powerless Professor by DeathStorm 2017-08-22T05:01:03Z

I loved the idea a lot but unfortunately, I couldn't play the game. I built a house but the citizens' value stayed at zero so I couldn't build anything else. This is probably a bug so let me know when you fix it and I will check it again. P.S If you would like to check my game that would be great. Thanks :)

Powerless Professor by DeathStorm 2017-08-22T10:45:32Z

I played it on windows 7. I tried closing the game and opening it again several times but the problem persists.

Mission Power On by FuriousWitch 2017-08-06T14:40:30Z

Hi @jhandsy, thanks for checking out my game. Sorry about that I'll fix it right away.

Mission Power On by FuriousWitch 2017-08-06T14:46:22Z

Thanks, @erkberg for the kind words. I will increase the enemies but this was kind of an introductory level so I didn't want it to be too hard. I also had the idea of blocks for hiding as you said but the time was too short. Sorry about not writing any details but I was totally fried after I finished which is the cause of the ending bug as well. Forgive me :)

Mission Power On by FuriousWitch 2017-08-22T15:50:55Z

@remco Thanks for checking out my game. No you just pass over the items to pick them up :)

Kingin' It by JoshyOshKenoshi 2017-08-22T11:35:49Z

Loved this game! It made me feel so light hearted and happy while playing it. If you are going to extend it I recommend adding more options for actions and more crisis to make it more challenging but I loved the way it is anyway. I finished in day 3 and played it again :)

P.S If you would like to check my game that would be great. Thank you in advance :)

e Negative by jhandsy 2017-08-22T13:55:45Z

Great game! The graphics and the mood are especially nice. The game play was very interesting but it got difficult so fast :) Congratulations!

Great game! Totally loved it and the graphics and music are really nice. Congratulations :)

Escape from P.O.W.E.R. by Asado999 2017-08-22T13:43:26Z

The graphics are amazing and the music also nice but unfortunately I didn't know how to play it. May be more hints could be added?

P.s If you would like to play and rate my game that would be great. Thanks :)

Failing Empire by Mad_Fizban 2017-08-22T12:40:22Z

Very nice! I liked this game a lot and it is obvious you put a lot of effort into making it. The graphics are beautiful and the game play is very interresting.

The cons are that without guidance it is a bit frustrating so more hints would help a lot. The trial and error concept is okay and you can keep it that way but just add a little bit more hints. Great work on such a short time though. Congratulations!

P.S If you would like to play and rate my game that would be great. Thanks :)

Lost Light by fillefilip8 2017-08-22T11:54:01Z

Very interesting concept and mechanics! I liked playing the game and wished that I could play longer but it seems there is a bug in the flash light timer because it went down even when I had enough batteries. All in all nice job guys :)

P.S If you would like to play and rate my game that would be great. Thanks in advance :)

Blood Blender by seanwiles0 2017-08-22T15:32:52Z

Great game! Lacks some polish though you need to work on that. But I loved the idea and the graphics.

P.S If you would like to check and rate my game that would be great. Thanks :)

LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Shall they up? by LeReveur 2017-12-28T12:36:40Z

Nice solid game and very innovative idea. Enjoyable in a frenzied sort of way. I felt it got very difficult very fast so you might want to make it more gradual. Also, as others mentioned, it conflicts with the browser's controls which adds another unnecessary level of difficulty :D

Congratulations on your entry. Good job :)

SCRAMBLED by aurel 2017-12-28T14:08:32Z

A great achievement you have done there :) I liked the graphics and the music is really beautiful. The map is vast and that is really a feat for an LD entry.

The main points that kinda hurt the experience for me were the combat system and the idea itself.

For the combat system, it was very hard to kill anything which made me too stressed all the time :D I don't know if it is because I don't play a lot of First Person or not but that is what I felt anyway.

As for the idea, I kinda felt bad for what I was doing stealing the eggs of the birds and killing them; it felt like a bad purpose and especially contradicting with the environment and mood you set. But this is something you can easily change, if you want, through narrative while preserving the gameplay. Like for example that you are collecting the eggs of an endangered species of birds and you need to get them fast before other predatory birds eat them and you only need to change the frying pan into a nest or incubatory or something like that while preserving everything else.

But regardless of this, I felt all the time while playing that this could be something big one day. You should be proud of your accomplishment. Congratulation :)

ARCADE OVERFLOW by Remco 2017-12-11T23:42:33Z

The most innovative idea I've seen so far in this jam and it's a compo too. Wow!

It was so capturing that I forgot to check on my cat which I let out for a while. He is okay and still there thank Allah :D

I honestly can't find a thing to criticize here. The graphics though simple were perfect for the style you set. The music, the mood, and everything was very matching. Great work. You should be proud :)

Blobville by Erkberg 2017-12-09T23:53:55Z

Hey Erk, just played your game and as always I loved it. Blob ville excells especially in the idea and humor departments (I actually laughed out loud in parts of your instructions).

It has a great potential if you decide to complete it and add other buildings and upgrades to your building and may be special NPCs who will do some of the work for you to make it easier as your community of blobs grows.

If you decided to complete it, let me know because I will be the first in your fan base :)

Mountain Diver by Ithildin 2017-12-09T22:47:38Z

I commend you for the great effort you put into this game. What I liked best was the graphics and theme. I also find the idea of choosing between crystals and platforms is very clever.

The game was too difficult for me though and kinda made me lose hope fast so if there was a weak point that would be it. May be I am just not used to play this kind of games a lot and that is why I lost hope fast. Still you could add two difficulties, easy and hard, to fit all personalities. All in all great job :)

Oil Tycoon : Corruption Edition by sebbernery 2017-12-26T13:02:00Z

Loved it :) I played it for about an hour which is the longest time I spent on a game this Ludum Dare. Very innovative idea. I think some tweaking is required though cause some stuff was not right. For example, I did very well and suddenly the oil price started dropping until it reached 5$. Why is that? I hade a lot of schools and couple of villas. Also, the value of the relation of the politics seems to go only up. The relations of the citizens is 100 and the politics are 102 and the price of the oil is 5$. Why is that?

Regardless of these points which I'm sure you can easily fix, I enjoyed playing your game tremendously. Congratulations :)

Please Let Me Die by chunkybrewster 2017-12-26T14:24:37Z

Great Work!

I myself don't like this kind of games in general but to be honest, this game looks good. I loved the theme and the environment. The music was kinda getting on my nerves but I believe that it was serving its purpose for the game. The inertia was too much so that is something you might need to fix. Some areas was too difficult it was cruel :D All in all great entry. Congratulations :)

LD40 - Snake by Torhaq 2017-12-27T11:22:43Z

Nice job on this one :) Great graphics and nice mechanics. The game increase in difficulty very fast though so may maybe make it more gradual than that. Also, decreasing the snake dimensions could make it more manageable to play. My advice is to make the speed related to eating the fruit not just the time factor because that is what I felt; that it was just getting faster regardless of the snake eating anything. Great job:)

Invasion by mennchen22 2017-12-27T11:53:22Z

Nice game. Good idea and the music was good too. There was a couple of bugs I found. After the first level, all levels had a black background instead of the road background in the first level. Also, after I leveled enough to have a fist instead of the finger the finger was not removed it stayed as a part of the scene.

It is a nice entry. Good job :) By the way, you should opt out of the graphics category since you didn't make the graphics or most of it.

Goblin Getaway by notime4games 2017-12-26T21:28:51Z

Nice Game! Liked the graphics and the theme especially. Felt the jump was too difficult. Maybe adjust the difficulty a bit to increase play time. Good work :)

Stay Alive by wh05herlock 2017-12-26T19:34:30Z

Nice Game! You obviously worked really hard on this and really great job. When I started playing I was a little lost so I died very quickly the first time and again the second time :D Then I realized something must be wrong so I read the instructions carefully this time and now I could finally play :D

Very good work and a lot of things you did there in so little time. Congratulation!

Cliff Hanger by TeamMonumental 2017-12-26T14:06:43Z

Great work you did there guys :) To be honest, I'm not great in this kind of games (FPS) so I kinda failed miserably over and over. So maybe its too difficult or maybe it's just me. Maybe you can add different levels of difficulty so that it suits everyone.

Regardless, the game looks fantastic, the sound effects are decent, and the gameplay itself is great. Congratulations :)

Defense 2160 BC by TheMonsterFromTheDeep 2017-12-27T15:40:46Z

Great game! I loved playing it and as I played I could see the elaborate work done in it like the animation on the towers and the enemies animations as well. I'm sure the time didn't allow for enough balancing but I think with more time you will be able to turn this into a really bulletproof strategy tower defense game :)

Right now the main problem is that I don't need to use all tower types I can just use mainly bow towers and cannon towers and I will win the game. Also, although it has a bit of a learning curve, once you get it you can put two columns of cannons and nothing can get past the very first couple of steps. And the difficulty doesn't seem to increase I don't know why. I have actually been writing this now for a couple of minutes and the game is running in the background and I'm still winning :D

But regardless of all that, I would like to commend the great work you did in this game which I really enjoyed playing. Actually, one of the best five games I played in this LD. Congratulations :)

Blalb by superjai 2017-12-26T17:36:50Z

One of the top 3 I played this Ludum Dare. I really was enjoying myself while playing that I intend to play more of it later on just for fun :)

The graphics are very beautiful too and the music you chose is very suitable and energetic.

The one problem I found is that the game lags a lot after some time which is expected with the number of objects in the scene. Other than that really great work. Congratulations. You should be proud :)

42 Lightyears by testlab 2017-12-27T14:30:15Z

Nice game. The idea is good and innovative. I loved the idea of the mechanic fixing the spaceship so much.

In the way of improving on the current build, I would recommend increasing the speed a little and adding turrets on the spaceship that you can build when you have more power. Also, you can add something like a thruster you can turn on to increase the speed but it uses electricity. A lot of balancing will be required but it will add more fun. Good job :)

Adventure of temple by Querk 2017-12-27T11:05:23Z

Unfortunately, it crashes every time after killing the first two enemies :(

Area 51 by jondalnas 2017-12-26T17:03:36Z

I loved playing this game very much. It has a great idea and implementation was flawless too.

The problems I found was in game design. Like increasing the number of bullets made you slower which was a penalty but the way I could simply shoot all the bullets at an empty space and remove the penalty defied the purpose of it. Also, I didn't understand why you did it- I know about the theme of this LD but I didn't make sense of it in the game- like do you want the player to shoot more or move faster? Maybe you could make the shooting attract the attention of enemies and this way you will punish the player if he started shooting at empty space and so he will have to move faster so that he doesn't accumulate many bullets and get heavier.

I loved the graphics too and the sound effects; it felt very instantaneous. And the idea of killing yourself with the ricochet is brilliant. I killed myself too many times :D

Overall really amazing game. Congratulations :)

Aquariumus - Too Many Fishes ! by GoZz 2017-12-10T02:03:16Z

Great job on your game! I reached day 14 or 18 I don't remember but it certainly wasn't easy. The game certainly has a learning curve but I like this style so I played it for some time until I understood the jest of it.

I enjoyed playing it very much, the graphics and the audio are great. The game looks very polished and it is obvious a lot of effort has been poured into it. If I have one addition is that some introduction or tutorial is needed so that players don't get frustrated easily.

But even without a tutorial, I enjoyed it very much. Congratulations :)

Museum Keeper by Louspirit 2017-12-12T00:16:59Z

Nice game. The idea is good and the sound effects were quite scary for me :)

The area which needs improvement is the movement and camera motion. I found it was a bit too heavy and uncooperative. Also, after playing for somedays it becomes too repetitive. Maybe you can spice it by adding skills not to just run into the burger to catch him. Still, it has a potential to become something bigger. Congratulations!

The Hoarder's Curse by FuriousWitch 2017-12-10T01:48:17Z

@ithildin Thank you so much for your valuable feedback. For your first two points, I am aware of the problem but unfortunately, the time was not enough for me to add more skills to the player not to implement proper feedback to the player. But that is one of the main things I will be working on soon on the next version of the game.

For the other points you mentioned, I admit there is a lot of imbalance that I need to work on to make the game more challenging and I will get to it as soon as I can in sha' Allah. Thanks again for your encouragement :)

The Hoarder's Curse by FuriousWitch 2017-12-21T23:30:51Z

@remco Thank you for your very constructive feedback :) Yes, the music is critical I know and is on the top of the todos for the next update. Strangely enough, I wasn't aware of the controls as an issue until people started pointing it out so it is on the top of the list as well.

Your, thought out loud, thoughts are extremely valuable to me so thanks for that and I will think about it. Something I'm sure about, though, is that I will keep the avatar and add more tasks (like making traps and upgrading towers) for him to do instead of waiting. That was planned from the beginning but the time didn't allow me to do any of it.

Thanks again :)

The Hoarder's Curse by FuriousWitch 2017-12-21T23:47:28Z

@tex-killer Hi, you, it is such an honor to have your first review :)

About the ninjas getting stuck, it is not exactly a bug but it needs some handling and better planning for the arena so it doesn't occur. It happens because I'm using pathfinding for the ninjas and they are not allowed to pass through each other so with greater numbers they simply stop and wait until their path is clear. (How proper :D )

The balancing is the most difficult thing in this game... I spent a lot of time trying to work it out but the problem is that it needs other parts of the game to be finished first for it to be possible.

I'm glad you liked the art. I worked hard on it and it was just my second time trying to create voxel art so I'm very happy you liked it.

Thanks for your great feedback and your encouragement :)

The Hoarder's Curse by FuriousWitch 2017-12-25T18:11:31Z

@erkberg Hi Erk, thanks a lot for your constructive feedback. This is very weird but almost all of your suggestions are parts of my plan for the game :O Although in my design I want to make it the player's choice whether to be good or bad depending on certain choices in the game. The aura thing didn't occur to me but it's a great idea and could be utilized in different ways.

Thank you for sharing your insights with me and encouraging me :)

The Hoarder's Curse by FuriousWitch 2017-12-27T09:45:22Z

@querk Thank you for checking my game. If you mean animation with the traditional meaning then there is no animation in the game at all :D If you the ninjas' movement and how it lags sometimes then yes I'm with you it needs some fixing :) Thanks again.

The Hoarder's Curse by FuriousWitch 2017-12-27T09:58:43Z

@akscan Thank you for your time and valuable feedback. Yes, I learned my lesson and will be fixing the characters movement as soon as I can after the voting ends.

I don't know why it is not clear about the 18 coins when I mentioned it clearly in the tooltip at the bottom of the screen :D The tower price is 8, not 18 but you have to keep at least 10 coins in your chest. Otherwise, there won't be anything worth guarding against the thieves :D So you need to have at least 18 coins in your chest to build the tower with 8 of them and keep 10. I don't understand why this confused some people? Is the tooltip not clear? Anyway, on the next version, I will highlight the tooltip with red if you are trying to build and you don't have enough money. This way the player will know something is missing. Do you think this will fix the issue?

Thanks again for your valuable feedback :)

The Hoarder's Curse by FuriousWitch 2017-12-27T14:37:16Z

@funkyhippo Thanks a lot for playing my game and for the feedback. I had a lot of ideas that would have fixed all the issues but, unfortunately, I didn't have time to do them in the jam time which made the game too difficult to balance but I intend to work on it later in sha' Allah. Thanks again and good luck to you too :)

The Hoarder's Curse by FuriousWitch 2017-12-29T17:51:00Z

@ambi Thanks for playing my game. I will hopefully do another post-jam version later to fix all the stuff you and everyone else pointed out. Stay tuned :)

Cat Lady by Jason Lothamer 2017-12-26T13:47:39Z

Nice game :)

Adding different kinds of mess to clean would add diversity to the game. Also, some other responsibilities would make things more challenging. All in all good job :)

Kitten Keeper by Draklaw 2017-12-26T14:44:02Z

Great game! I enjoyed playing and replaying this game a lot. The idea was good and executed well. Thr main problem for me was that the game kept crashing after 25 kittens. Another issue is that the cats sometimes don't go to the toy or any other object it needs although it is there. Other than that it was really lovely to play. Congratulations :)

Problematic Ownage by dukeaccent 2017-12-25T19:29:38Z

Loved it :) Very innovative idea and humorous design and it's so simple.

I recommend adding speed up button so that the player can speed up the time at work. Also, I noticed one of the times I went to work for about 3 minutes and the rage bar didn't get above zero. Was good to catch a break :D

Great game. Congratulations :)

Mini Mod by Riker Greenslade 2017-12-11T23:06:32Z

Nice game. The music and sound effects were especially amazing. For me, the game was too difficult though. The controls too heavy and it felt like I was doing a lot of effort to play. I don't know if the "too much inertia" when I stop moving was deliberate or not but this one really killed me :D

It is very clear there was a lot of effort in making this game from all the team and I commend you a lot for that but I think you should have focused more on the controls than on the polish cause the polish is very extravagant here :D I understand that it was meant to be played with a gamepad but still I think the majority of players would have appreciated it more if the keyboard controls were easier too.

All in all, I think what you did here is pretty amazing. Congratulations :)

Fat and Furry-ous by Tex Killer 2017-12-10T02:43:35Z

Good game! The idea is good and it is fun to play but it ended too soon. It needed more content.

The game idea has high potential. You already developed the main mechanics. You could easily add different types of collectibles and obstacles which could extend its playing time much more and make it more fun too.

But all in all nice game. Congratulations :)

Unstable Space by FunkyHippo 2017-12-27T14:55:25Z

I really loved your game :) The aesthetics were beautiful and the music so moving put together they made a great mood. The idea is innovative too and I find myself thinking of how you can expand it into a narrative story with multiple levels.

One of the best three games I played this Ludum Dare. Congratulations :)

Ninja Guyden by Dioinecail 2017-12-26T22:04:48Z

The graphics and animation are impressive. I didn't understand the purpose at the beginning but I think I should collect some stuff and then I will be able to win with the bosses. The problem is you can never avoid the objects thrown at you which remove the stuff you collect so I don't know if there is a way to win.

But regardless, it is obvious there is a lot of work put into your game you just need to clarify the objective and balance the difficulties a lot more and you will find yourself with a really amazing game. Congratulations on your entry :)

Coffee Break by Akscan 2017-12-27T10:55:53Z

Nice game. The graphics looked good and the day/night cycle gave some life to it. The main issue for me was the repetition though. I didn't feel motivated to keep going. I don't even know the purpose of what I'm doing. So, as an addition may be collecting this stuff would reflect on something so the player would want to keep playing. Regardless, all in all, good work :)

Zurvival of the Fleshest! by Lyrcaxis 2017-12-25T18:53:51Z

A fun game. I liked playing it although I didn't understand the resources and the upgrades at the beginning but after a minute or so I got the idea. It wasn't difficult to understand at all.

There are a few points that I think need clarifying though; Why is it that the soldiers' number never change? Also, Where does the gold come from?!

Finally, I couldn't help but notice that the entry is not really resonating with the theme. It seemed the more I have, the easier it was to win:)

Oh, and I loved the music, it made me want to play for longer time :)

All in all, good job on this one. Congratulations :)

Feed by Genesis 2017-12-26T09:09:05Z

I loved the concept and the theme. The problem for me was the difficulty was too much. I didn't last more than one night. My advice is you can either change the controls style or you can make the enemy knock back the player that way the player have the chance to run away. What happens right now is as soon as the enemy walks over you it takes a second to die so that is too difficult for average player I think :)

The monsters looked creepy which is great and the music and sound effects was nice too. Great job :)

Pumpkin Massacre by Moyubori 2017-12-28T13:27:51Z

I loved this game it was so fun to play. I liked the idea and the graphics. Implementation was flawless for me.

If I had to change one thing it is the extra health and ammo drops. It made it much easier than it should be. I left about 8 health and ammo packs that I didn't need. If things were rarer it would make the gameplay more hectic and requires more attention. But, regardless, it is a solid fun game. Great work :)

LD42 — Running out of space

Raise the sea by Erkberg 2018-08-15T20:54:45Z

Hey Erk, nice entry, and congratulation on overcoming the difficult situation :)

I particularly loved the music of course and the minimalist graphics were very fitting for the idea.

Good work :)

Ghost Cleaner by akai_0okami 2018-08-31T17:25:30Z

The Linux version wouldn't run. I think it is missing libraries or something. Let me know if you fix it so I can play :)

Ghost Cleaner by akai_0okami 2018-09-02T20:57:08Z

@akai-0okami I tried again, the problem was not fixed.

Ghost Cleaner by akai_0okami 2018-09-03T20:56:50Z

@akai-0okami Nothing happens it simply doesn't run. I tried to run it from the terminal and it says some libraries missing. Ubuntu here too.

Storage Corp Ltd. by PixelFormedStudios 2018-08-16T01:11:53Z

This game is brilliant, I really love it. It was one of the ideas I thought about when I was brainstorming for this jam but I didn't go very deep into it. Your implementation is very good. One critical problem though was that I didn't know about the place of the floppies below the monitor and I kept thinking there must be something wrong, this can't be all :D It wasn't until I came here and read the comments that I found out about it. So I think it should be included even in the instruction in here if not in the tutorial.

Congratulations!

Storage Corp Ltd. by PixelFormedStudios 2018-08-16T03:01:18Z

Hey, I discovered a bug :D After playing for a long time the sound just stopped. Playing web here.

Also, I would recommend very much that the new files be at the top instead of the other way around especially when the UI is a bit buggy.

This game is so addictive :)

Exiled out of homeland by Risist 2018-08-15T23:50:46Z

@risist Hi there, The game looks really great from the screenshots but, unfortunately, I can't play it because I have a Linux OS. If you could publish it for web or Linux that would be great. If you do let me know and I will play and rate it. Thanks :)

Exiled out of homeland by Risist 2018-08-16T19:35:11Z

So I played the game and it is obvious that you put a lot of work into it. The game has great potential but I think for 3 days jam it is impossible to finish. Regardless, I think you did great. I liked the graphics a lot and the harvesting resources part was done correctly. I think the difficulty was too high which made it impossible (at least for me) to defeat even one group of enemies.

My recommendations: - Make the number of attachers progressive so for the first attack it's one enemy, so easily defeatable, then two enemies in the next attack and so on. - Make your players attack automatically when enemies are within certain distance. - Make your players start with bigger numbers - Increase the players' number with time or when you capture more land.

I like the style of the game and it reminds me of "Stonehearth" if you know it. Wish you the best of luck. If you decide to keep working on it let me know of the game's progress to check it :)

Le Parking by karlipoppins 2018-08-17T06:54:56Z

Great entry! I liked the idea very much and the implementation was surprisingly much smoother than I expected. I usually am not good at car games but this game made it easy for me :) I think the music was really good and fitting to the mood. As a way of improvement, if you decided to expand a bit in this project, I recommend adding some motivation to keep going like something to do with the money you get. Congratulations :)

Bath Time by DDRKirbyISQ 2018-09-03T23:21:31Z

Amazing game! One of the top 5 I played this jam. Couldn't pass level 7. Good job :)

Colony Collapse by fantasywiz54 2018-08-29T01:37:01Z

Nice game! I enjoyed my time playing and it was easy to win. Needs more feedback to the player though.

Good work :)

The Not Very Golden Age of Piracy by nuclearfriend 2018-09-05T15:18:03Z

Great game! Loved the concept and the mechanics. Congratulations :)

Floating Island by Echo Team 2018-08-16T00:03:38Z

Hi there, I wanted very badly to play your game but, unfortunately, I can't because I have a Linux OS and I tried to install it using wine but didn't work. If you could export it for web or for Linux I will be sure to check it. It looks really interesting :)

Floating Island by Echo Team 2018-08-16T22:53:21Z

Hi again, I downloaded the project from Github to try and build it from Linux but, unfortunately, it didn't work out. I don't know why :(

Floating Island by Echo Team 2018-08-17T04:20:57Z

@echo-team Link is not working :D The odds are really stacked against us :D

Floating Island by Echo Team 2018-08-20T00:46:29Z

@echo-team Hi again, So I downloaded and played the project from unity but it showed substance engine failed to load error. It played but the graphics were all wrong so I still can't rate it. Sorry, I guess that's it for me. If you decided to make a web version let me know.

SuddenlyBunnies by jcwelgemoed 2018-08-18T23:19:48Z

Great entry! I liked the idea and the game-play was implemented very well. A very polished game and the fun rate was very high :) Congratulation on your game and especially because you did it with your daughter. Give her a thumbs up from me :)

Things that went wrong: The game is terribly laggy on chrome that I thought it was broken but when I read the comments I decided to try Firefox and I found it working okay there although things still get laggy if the numbers get too high. The close button in how to play doesn't work.

Cat Fortress by CruelMotivator 2018-08-31T17:53:09Z

I love this game! Wish it was less glitchy to be able to enjoy it fully. The graphics and animation are amazing and the idea is very innovative and humorous. The glitches need to be fixed though because they are ruining the fun :)

Also, you mentioned in the comments some of the assets were not made by you. Maybe you should mention those assets in the description so that players know what they are rating and also to give credit to the others.

Congratulations on a great entry :)

Bury The Dead by wdhg 2018-08-31T20:02:02Z

Nice game! I liked the idea and graphics. The implementation was faultless too but I think you need to add in the instructions that the player can only dig the hole beneath themselves. Better yet, you can bind it to keyboard button like someone suggested here. Also, I think that zombies escaping take so much of the score that sometimes although I've been playing for a while I end up with the same score I had when I buried only a couple zombies.

Congratulation on a good game :)

Bug Squasher by erikiene 2018-08-22T01:17:53Z

Very fun game! There was something deeply satisfying in pushing the correct button and seeing those bugs get squished :D I noticed also that it helped me remember the correct button places without looking which is a good application for it if you decided to make it a commercial game or educational one. The music and sound effects were hilarious which add a special flavor to the game. The only down point was that it took me some time until I understood how to play so maybe add clearer instructions in here to make it easier for other people. Good job :)

Serving Qeldrar by testlab 2018-08-28T08:42:41Z

Hi there, your game looks really nice although I didn't play it yet. I downloaded the Linux version but it doesn't want to run. Did you test it?

Serving Qeldrar by testlab 2018-08-28T20:52:42Z

Hi again, so it played fine after the changes you made and I just finished playing it.

Nice game, I like the graphics style a lot and the idea and it has something in common with my game although the goal is the opposite here :)

I felt the game itself was not very alive. It was like everything was too static and that part made things less interesting. I wish there was a bit of motion even if repetitive like for example a minion howling a cart of gold through the door after each raid. Also, music would surely liven things up. Nice work :)

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-15T01:10:38Z

@nate-howard Sorry Nate it was a problem. It is working now.

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-15T01:30:47Z

@katie-dover Thank you very much for playing my game and your positive feedback and sorry for putting you through this :) I was dead tired yesterday so I barely uploaded and decided to leave everything else for today. Thanks again :)

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-15T22:50:19Z

@echo-team Hey, thanks a lot for playing my game and your kind feedback :)

I should be clear about one thing though, I used Mixamo website from Adobe to auto-rig and animate the model so I shouldn't take credit for this. Also, the character is the one thing I didn't make during the jam, I made it a couple of days before and was intended for another indie project I was working on. I will add this as a note above so that people know in case it affects the ratings.

Thanks for finding this bug for me, I'll be sure to fix it soon :)

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-16T04:31:40Z

@bloc97 I can't thank you enough for the kind and soothing words. It makes me so happy to know that you enjoyed playing my game. The feelings you talk about is exactly what I look forward in games of this kind when I play them myself and so it was what I wanted to put in my game although I can't say I was so brilliant to plan this exactly, instead let's just say it worked better than I expected alhamdulillah.

You explained the game feel better than if I myself tried to put it into words thanks a lot for that and for your generosity of spirit :)

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-16T20:10:18Z

@tomg Thank you very much for playing my game and your feedback. I am happy you enjoyed your time rolling in gold :D I will be sure to add your suggestion in the post-jam version in sha' Allah plus much more feedback to the player. Thanks again :)

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-16T23:06:55Z

@edwingamedev Thank you so much for playing my game and for your feedback. Yes, you are right I should add leveling system to make things more strategical but there was no time for any more development so I had to leave it that way. I don't know why you chose to not buy anything until you have the price for the last upgrade but the game is winnable and probably even easier to win if you bought the upgrades one after the other :) Thanks again.

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-17T06:24:27Z

@karlipoppins Thank you very much for playing my game and for the kind feedback. I'm so glad you liked the intro, I too enjoyed writing it :) I'm sorry about the repetition which I totally agree with you about. Unfortunately, it is the result of the little time which didn't allow for me to make better balancing. By the way, the painting is not just a decoration it has a big purpose which I'm not gonna say :D But suffice it to say that it is better to buy it sooner rather than later :)

Your last comment made me laugh :) My game doesn't have any music, you must have been listening to something else. If possible share the track you were listening to with me, I might add it to the game if it was so fitting :)

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-18T19:03:45Z

@karlipoppins It's okay, it happens :) I don't have a Spotify account due to a country restriction policy they have. If you could share the name of the song and the artist that would be great, if not no problem.

I'm happy you're finally free of the curse :)

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-21T00:06:04Z

@bmopapa Thank you for playing and for the helpful ideas. I already had very similar ideas in another game of mine but I didn't have time to even consider adding them here. I'll be sure to add them to the post-jam version in sha' Allah, now that I have more time :)

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-21T00:43:32Z

@jcwelgemoed Thanks for playing and you are right about the repetition it seems the complaint of everyone and it will be my first thing to fix in the gameplay in sha' Allah. Thanks again :)

@mammabouter Thank you very much for the kind words and the motivation. I will keep working on it in sha' Allah and see how it goes :)

@zeusx212 Thank you and glad you liked it :)

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-22T15:15:46Z

@j-carlson Thanks for playing my game and your feedback. I am quite sure something is missing, maybe you didn't buy all the upgrades. Did you unlock all the jewelry and the painting? Higher jewelry consumes more gold. If you bought all the upgrades it will be easy to win. Let me know more if possible :)

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-23T17:17:38Z

@j-carlson Congratulations :D Thanks again for the extra effort and for giving my game a second chance :)

I'll be sure to remove that cheat soon ;)

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-27T20:28:18Z

@gwinnell Thanks a lot for playing and for the detailed feedback, it sure helps :) As I mentioned above, I used Mixamo website to auto-rig and animate the character so I can't take much credit there, I just assigned the bones and chose from their long list of animation which was a lengthy process but still :) Music is the first thing I'm working on right now for the post-jam version and balancing will be soon after :) Thanks again.

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-28T00:35:37Z

@kiirohanabi Thanks for playing my game and the kind and helpful feedback. I'll take your advice and be sure to balance my painting price in the post-jam version in sha' Allah.

Glad you liked the moral of the story although what I was going for was a bit of "be careful what you wish for" and "If it's too good to be true then it probably is" or another saying in my country "The kite(bird) doesn't throw chicks" :D But I guess the story could be interpreted differently for everyone :)

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-28T01:10:18Z

@carlos-giraldo Thank you for playing and your feedback. I know about the lack of feedback but unfortunately, it is the result of insufficient time. I didn't quite get your comment about the art style. You say some stuff is voxel and some are not but actually, I made everything myself and it is all voxel so I'm not sure about what you mean. Would you describe what you mean in more detail? Thanks again :)

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-28T01:36:22Z

@ctrble Thanks for the feedback and I'm very glad you enjoyed playing my game :)

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-28T01:51:13Z

@erkberg Hey Erk, thanks for playing my game and the helpful feedback. I like how you described the game as a reverse Idle which I think is a very fitting and precise description for it, thanks :) I agree with you about the grindiness but it was the result of not enough time for any more content or even sufficient planning to choose proper values for upgrades and the likes. I'm currently working on the music and I will see if I can do something about that cursed end, great idea ;)

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-28T02:03:12Z

@erikiene Thank you very much for playing and for the helpful feedback. I'm currently working on the music and I hope I will make something fitting to the mood.

Thanks for finding the upgrade bug, I will fix it soon, hopefully before any more people use it to cheat their way to the end :D

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-28T22:36:13Z

@sollara-games Thanks a lot for your feedback and kind words and glad you liked the game. Will be adding music and sound effects in the post-jam version in sha' Allah :)

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-29T15:12:34Z

@testlab Thank you very much for the helpful feedback. I'll be sure to integrate your points some way or the other in the post-jam version in sha' Allah.

What I thought about before is to add customer requests in a natural way like, for example, if I have only one type of jewelry displayed may be customers won't buy because they didn't find the jewelry they want. But if I have more variety then I'll have more sales. I'm not sure how I will do it yet but your idea of orders could be it. I'll also think about the crafting part but it probably will be automatic like adding something different for each piece so that they look different from each other when displayed. The sound is top priority :)

I'm glad you liked the gold dropping :) Thanks again.

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-30T00:02:07Z

@nonimad Thank you for the kind words, I'm happy you liked it. Of course, there is a lot of work that needs to be done and your feedback inspired some good ideas too. Hopefully, I'll be using at least some randomization in the post-jam version to make things less expected. Thanks again :)

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-08-31T20:05:58Z

@team-yarn Thanks for playing and your feedback. I should have fixed this bug sooner but I'm busy rating other games, will do it soon :)

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-09-02T20:33:14Z

@doey Thanks for the feedback. For sure the balancing needs a lot of work to make things exciting and challenging but I'm quite sure you can win and easily too. Did you buy all the upgrades?

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-09-03T21:15:42Z

@player2point0 Thanks a lot for your time and feedback. I'm happy you liked the graphics and I absolutely agree with you about the strategy, there wasn't enough time to test and optimize the strategy.

Golden Shackles by FuriousWitch 2018-09-04T22:14:23Z

@hellsquirrel Thanks for playing and rating my game. Sorry, I didn't rate your game, I was away all day and just got back. I'm very sorry about that :( Wish you the best.

Amazing! You succeeded in making me actually hurt from seeing this :) Stunning Audio, graphics, and mood. Congratulations

Metal Gear Noah by Dizzy Dalvin 2018-09-04T00:46:50Z

I loved the post-jam version and I wish you were able to even just fix the bugs in the jam version so it could be halfway as enjoyable as the post-jam version. To be honest, the jam version was hardly working, I couldn't move the trees and the robot was not responding and the water filled so fast so it was kinda frustrating.

As for the post-jam version it was one of the best games I played in this jam. Great graphics and mood. It certainly has great potential and it was very enjoyable to play. Great work :)

Loot Keeper by outstar 2018-09-03T21:57:14Z

Would love to check your game. Let me know if you export a web or Linux build.

What To Do When Your Drive Is Full by NoNiMad 2018-08-29T00:29:57Z

Nice game! The idea is truly innovative and enjoyable to play. I finished all levels except for the triple level which for some reason wouldn't end although I think I did it correctly. Good job :)

I found two bugs: Sometimes after I finish a level the "level clear" doesn't show up. Also if you scroll the mouse wheel at the dark grey area at the edge of the screen the camera moves away from the game and keeps moving until you refresh the page.

Oh, I almost forgot, the game is in serious need of a tutorial or even an instructions page with images. It took me some time to understand.

Congratulations :)

Space(bar)Invaders by Carraka 2018-08-22T01:50:54Z

Very Addictive! This game is so fun, I played it for a long time until I reached a level where I failed to pass :) The gameplay although repetitive is very suitable for semi endless games, it has potential. It will just need some upgrade system to keep things interesting for a long time. Great work :)

Keyboard warrior by ango97 2018-08-31T20:57:48Z

Linux link won't open :(

Ziggurat Drop by jmschrack 2018-08-27T21:58:42Z

I absolutely loved it! The things I liked most was the lights, shadows, wall textures and visual effects. The music was utilized very well too and ambiance as a whole was exceptional.

Things that need improvements are the mouse look which was really too much, I was confused many times with which direction I came from :) Also, I think flares should be a little more especially since it is so dark and coins should emit more light and for a longer time.

Great entry :)

Tunnel Racer by ctrble 2018-08-21T21:16:45Z

Nice game! Nice gameplay and music. I don't usually play this kind of games so maybe my feedback is not very helpful but I felt that braking was not very responsive and the pace was too fast for me to go very far but as I said maybe that is just me :) Regardless, good work :)

Owned By by arctic_allosaurus 2018-08-21T00:35:49Z

Amazing! I absolutely loved it. Kudos on the graphics and the mood. I was always looking forward to the next white dot to know what will happen. The story was so captivating. I wish there was less monotony in the main gameplay though like if the square's glow color changed after every transition or something like that, it could happen to the circles pursuing too. Also, the audio was lagging very badly on chrome. But all in all, one of the best I played in this jam. Great job :)

Deep Heat by gwinnell 2018-08-27T23:51:00Z

Wow! This game looks amazingly good and polished. The graphics are very cute and really impressive and the music was very fitting. Great work there, my only complaint is that it got so difficult that I couldn't pass level four even after trying for maybe 15 times. I got all the upgrades though and it was very fun to play. Congratulations :)

Take care of her by KiiroHanabi 2018-08-20T01:32:17Z

Wow! I have two conflicting feelings; I hate that you put me through this, this is painful but at the same time this was an amazing experience. I love the story so much, Whoever did the writing is really good and should consider making a career of writing. The graphics and music were so fitting and essential to the experience. The mood is the first winner here.

Points I didn't like: The game filled me with pain and regret when it didn't have to be this way. We always have stuff that we won't miss or even sometimes wish to forget. Maybe it's just me but I kinda hate when I'm being tortured like this :D

Also, the text was a bit hard to read for me, it could use some spreading out vertically and cramming horizontally. The music stereo effects were very nice but a bit too much.

Regardless, Amazing job. Congratulations :)

Take care of her by KiiroHanabi 2018-08-20T20:45:10Z

@demn Hi Demn, what I meant was that the music at the last track was moving from left to right (that is what I meant by the stereo effect I'm not sure if it is called that) but it was doing it too much like if the sound was moving literally going around my head like a bee or something :D I think if the effect was lowered a bit it would be better but great music regardless of anything :)

Hilbert's Hotel by player2point0 2018-08-31T20:34:00Z

Nice game! Liked the mechanics. The idea is very interesting too and has potential. As others have said, clear instructions are much needed even simple text, it took me too long until I figured out how to play it. The music needs some tweaking because sometimes it sounded too much. Good work :)

CAVEMAN by MaiMai 2018-08-31T18:34:53Z

Wow! I like it a lot. Great graphics and aesthetic. Sound effects were complimenting. The whole experience was new and refreshing. Great work :)

Things that need a little help: character animation was too minimal I think, The movement was too slow that my fingers actually hurt from the strain of pressing the keyboard buttons so this needs to be fixed :)

Congratulations!

Day Three by EdwinGameDev 2018-08-15T22:32:18Z

Very solid entry! I loved playing it very much. The graphics and music were very good and the animation of the plants was quite funny :D The harvesting of leaves was not clear for me though and I was a bit confused at the beginning but I got it after restarting a few times.

I recommend giving the house a bigger role, in its current state it is nearly useless. I found that staying outside the house helped me to protect the plants and it was easy to evade the boss.

Well done :)

Honest Dan's Clutteral Damage by Honest Dan 2018-08-17T04:17:44Z

I absolutely love this game! I played it several times and the only reason I stopped because things pilled up so much since it is getting more difficult and I had to stop but it was so enjoyable.

I see a lot of potential in it and I really hope you continue working on it to add the coming soon features and much more. In my opinion, this game really excelled in the fun and graphics category.

Great job :)

I so want to play this game, this is exactly the kind of games I'm addicted to. Unfortunately, the Linux build is so laggy it's impossible to play. IT takes forever to transition from moving in one direction to another. If you fix this problem let me know so I can play and rate it.

Beach Time by Stephano 2018-08-28T08:54:32Z

Looks lovely from the screen shots! I would love to play it if you export a web or Linux build :)

Thank you. If you are going to make changes after the jam please be sure to add links to both versions so that I can rate the jam version and also play the post-jam version.

Lost in deep space by mgsx 2018-08-22T02:15:49Z

Nice game and innovative idea! Liked the running on the planet part and the obstacles avoidance both on the planet and in space. The movement was very smooth. Didn't feel the effect of the gas and air much maybe you can make these resources more scarce and so more valuable. The pattern was too repetitive, to solve that you can make more parts and so the list doesn't have to be only the three parts. Regardless, that is a solid entry. Good job :)

AEKI Wares by grizeldi 2018-08-28T21:38:03Z

I would really like to play your game but something is wrong with the Linux build; No items are delivered to be packed. I waited for some time but nothing came out. If you fix this, let me know and I will play your game :)

AEKI Wares by grizeldi 2018-08-31T00:14:54Z

Logistic Dumping by EthanTheBrave 2018-08-21T01:30:51Z

Nice game! I loved everything about it and the movement was smooth enough to make things easy. It ended too fast though because it got hard too fast and I couldn't collect as fast. I wish there were some upgrades to prolong gameplay a bit. Great job :)

The Custodian of ZX-42 by Darkphnx 2018-08-21T01:35:15Z

Nice game! I loved the cubic world thingie and I felt that everything fit together. Great work :)

Achtung die Schlange by Team Yarn 2018-08-31T20:50:57Z

Good work! A nice reinvention of Snake but to be honest I didn't like the aimlessness of the game, it felt like passing time. I wish there was something to collect too, it would have added purpose to the game. But regardless, the gameplay was done well and the music added a nice atmosphere to the gameplay. Final score 99 :)

Space Jack by neurobomber 2018-08-15T19:58:29Z

Nice game! I really enjoyed the hectic mode in this one :)

Congratulation!

OFF ICE by BMOPAPA 2018-08-20T00:16:24Z

Nice game! I liked the story a lot, the atmosphere too. The gameplay was kinda minimal but the final part was really beautiful and so cute, I love this stuff :) I wish there was more hinting about the end during game-play like memories or something. Good work :)

Oh No ! More Food : A Vegan Story by Maksime 2018-08-21T22:22:37Z

Nice game! I really enjoyed playing this game. Audio and gameplay were the best points. You could scale this game to include a lot of levels and it would be so much fun.

I would have played it more if I didn't have to start from the beginning every time I lose and so I would recommend restarting only the current level instead. The difficulty was a bit too much I think. I even tried the lower difficulty and it seemed almost the same speed or maybe it really is. In the main menu, it is best if you put a close button for each submenu otherwise, the player will be confused thinking there is no way to close the submenu.

These all are small points and not really critical just as a way of improvement. A really big point though is that you kinda missed the theme here :) Anyway, Great work :)

Dungeon, Demon and 2 Walls by Yulia 2018-09-04T00:08:45Z

Nice game! I like the sound effects a lot and the polish is very good. Good job :)

Magical Garden by Anonymus Raccoon 2018-08-16T00:34:08Z

I don't know how to play. I place the trees but they don't do what they are supposed to :) There is a turn: 01 at the bottom left but it doesn't change. How do I end turn? Is this a bug?

Bunny Ice Cream Maker by rkhadder 2018-08-31T21:22:05Z

I absolutely love it! Great sounds and animation and along with the graphics you created quite the aesthetic. Humor and innovation are the top points in my opinion. And yes it's true that the toilet is the best part of the game :D Wish there was some use for the produced ice cream though.

Congratulation on a really funny game :)

The Unfortunate Story of Hans by Bloc97 2018-08-16T20:50:51Z

Hi there, I wanted to play your game but I can't seem to be able to run it. I have open JDK java8 runtime. When double-clicking nothing happens. I tried to choose java from open with menu and still, nothing happens. I have linux OS. What should I do?

P.S Thanks for playing my game and the nice feedback :)

The Unfortunate Story of Hans by Bloc97 2018-08-16T22:57:27Z

I don't think it's corrupt at all because I use it to export to mobile all the time. I don't want to mess with it because it took me so long to install it correctly on Linux (beginner Linux user here). I'll try to see if there is a solution to the problem online.

The Unfortunate Story of Hans by Bloc97 2018-08-17T03:16:52Z

@bloc97 Hello again, So I finally found out how to make it run by choosing the correct java installation and it runs okay at the beginning but then when the dialog end and I want to build the factory I can't. I click on it nothing happens, I tried dragging it still nothing. Since you have more experience with Java do you know what's wrong?

The Unfortunate Story of Hans by Bloc97 2018-08-18T21:45:47Z

@bloc97 Hi again, so I downloaded the hotfix version (thanks for the extra effort) and finally played your game :)

I like the novelty of this game and the storyline is very interesting. I played text based games before, not many but some, and I always like them but adding the base management to the mix was a great addition here. I think space/material/debris/parts combination need some explanation because I didn't understand most of it, to be honest. I tried to build a building when my space was full and then my buildings started to be destroyed. Is this because there must be some space to build another building? If so then how do I get more space? I chose once to prepare the base for defence and that cleared some space for me but these events are rare so what is the alternative.

Regardless of all this, I think the complications in resources could be the reason for this game's success if you used it wisely meaning that it needs to have a clear purpose. Maybe it already does and I just didn't figure it out, I'm not sure. But I enjoyed playing this game a lot and I see big potential for much more. Well done :)

Dungeon Trader by TomG 2018-08-16T03:56:53Z

This is one of the games that you love so much you wish you had more of it. Amazing idea and implementation. The graphics and audio are so cute and complement each other. I had so much fun playing it. One point I noticed was that the graphics style didn't all fit together, some appeared to be out of place like more than one person was working on it and had different styles and may be different tools they worked with. Not a big deal though, just an advice if you want to make things better.

Great job!

RunnINN out of space by gamedevkng 2018-08-19T22:41:59Z

One of the really good ones! I love a game that gives the ownership and entrepreneurship feel and this one gave it to me :)

The switch from inn management to fight arena was really annoying though and I wish the transition was smoother, it killed me every time I was dragging that last gold chest :D Also, the UI was a bit confusing.

Overall, Great job :)

Insufficient Storage by Doey 2018-09-02T20:37:18Z

@doey Hi there, thanks for rating my game. I would like to play your game but I have a Linux OS so I can't. If you export to Web or Linux, let me know to play it :)

Hi there, this looks very interesting but, unfortunately, I can't play it because I have a Linux OS. If you decided to export a web or Linux build, let me know and I will be sure to play it. And thanks for rating my game :)

Don't mess up by LeoDESIGAUX 2018-08-28T22:32:06Z

Nice game! seven levels is a lot of content for a game jam so great job. I only reached level5 and I couldn't pass it. I know I could find how to finish it, eventually, but I am not very interested in this kind of games in general, no offense :) I liked the graphics and animations a lot and sound effects gave life to the game. Also, the gameplay was flawless and didn't find any bugs which is great. Adding music will liven the game much more. Congratulations :)

DataSkream by Sollara Games 2018-08-29T01:10:37Z

Nice game! I think the music, ambiance, and mood are the top points here. I felt a great air of excitement while playing. The problem for me that things started too fast, I could only last for some seconds. I felt that the ball's movement was not accurate, neither in the jump time nor in the value of displacement. I mean that most of the time the ball was between platforms instead of in the middle of one which gave an uncomfortable feeling. Regardless, great job :)

Park & Match by Carlos Giraldo 2018-08-20T22:30:00Z

Nice game! The graphics and the idea are the best part. I think this game would have been much better if things were a bit smoother. It was difficult to move and park the cars. The other parked cars made it even more difficult and I think there was too much inertia which made it really hard to control the car. Also, I felt that I was lacking the motivation to keep going like money or upgrades.

But regardless, good effort you did there :)

FoxyPops by Mammabouter 2018-08-18T22:58:28Z

Nice game! The amount of levels is good and they are getting harder in a somewhat balanced way. I played until level 10.

Well done :)

Graveyard Manager by DevWithMartinus 2018-08-17T05:58:42Z

Nice Game! I liked the gameplay and the music was nice :) I didn't really get how to win or even how to survive for a while :D Although it appears from the comments that people find it quite easy. Maybe I didn't give it enough time, I don't know.

Graveyard Manager by DevWithMartinus 2018-08-18T19:40:38Z

@devwithmartinus Oh, I see now. I thought it was really bad to leave the dead unburied so I didn't even try it. But I think it is better if it was more like a memory game. Like for example, the player should notice the graves that are visited less often and those are the ones to rebury the dead in. That is the way I thought it was at the beginning and I think it will be more engaging this way.

Last Chance by FuriousWitch 2022-10-05T05:51:27Z

Hi @tex-killer hope you are doing great :)

Thanks for the kind words. I really appreciate it. I use Magicavoxel for the 3d models and I think it is one of the easiest programs to use. I didn't need to spend a lot of time learning it and it felt natural. I am glad you liked my produce :)

It's true this game was done very hurriedly and to be honest I didn't have time to fix much in it after submission but I hope one day I will find the time to appropriately finish it.

I wanted to participate in this jam but I was already working in another project and I felt if I entered I will be sucked into the world of the new game for at least two weeks (like I always do) so I chose not to.

I look forward to participating in the same jam as you too and by the way I tried to play some of your games right now and it seems that the website you uploaded them on is having a problem so check it out so people can play your games :) Also your last game (Little Scout 2) doesn't want to open here for some reason (it stays minimized). Sorry for the basket of bad news :D

I hope they add some sort of messaging system in here to make it easier to communicate but anyway I check from time to time and hope to hear from you soon. Keep in touch :)

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

TextUnkown's AdventureGrounds by HitchH1k3r 2018-05-15T17:58:14Z

Honestly, I didn't understand how to play it. I wrote "open the parachute" but it didn't work. I am sure minimal feedback(hints) is required in order for it to make sense for most people.

Anyway, it is a nice new style and I think with proper hints will be very interesting :)

Game Jam the Game by Jacksendary 2018-05-14T17:07:23Z

I too loved the music but I didn't understand whether there was anything I can do to win. The only option that could make a difference was the work split and it wasn't working right (I could get all the bars to 100 how is that ?) and on the other hand the choices for the type of game I made yielded strange and unexpected results.

But anyway I congratulate you on publishing a game anyway regardless of the hard circumstances, I myself went through a lot of trouble to make my game this jam so I understand :)

Wish you all the best in your future jams :)

Ascension by Erkberg 2018-05-10T16:03:14Z

Hey there, as always great work. I especially loved the music and sound effects. The general mood was interesting. The animation was exceptional. The ending was very sad though :)

Congratulations!

Beatcraft by Ithildin 2018-05-08T00:40:44Z

Nice Game! It took me a while to tune myself to the beat but I finally won :) Congratulation on making the audio vs interaction work this well I know it wasn't as easy as it looks. Also, the idea is quite innovative. Good job :)

Seppuku Pilot by lightsoda 2018-05-15T00:19:27Z

Nice game! I see how much work was done here and it is one of the most polished games I played this jam. The mechanics and incentives were particularly great aspects of the game.

What I found very confusing was the ultimate goal which is still illuding me after about 20 min of game-play; it seems that when I dive to the bottom I die and when I reach the end of the level I also die. Is there a way to win? Also, I found that the more replays I make the more lag I get until it gets so hard to play at all, you might want to check that (HTML5 build).

Other than that it is really one of the best. Great work!

The Missing Chief by LooksLikeSomething 2018-05-10T17:58:52Z

Nice game! I liked the graphics especially and the idea is interesting. Finding clues along the way was fun and the clues looked hilarious :)

Good job!

The Tower of Glass by xk_the_name 2018-05-14T18:16:26Z

One of the best games I played this jam. Great art, theme, sound effects, concept and mechanics.

Only thing I had a problem with was shooting without moving. Didn't seem to work for some reason.

Congratulations on work well done :)

Mobile in the Automobile by urbanhelsing 2018-05-15T20:17:49Z

Nice game! I like the concept and it would have been so fun for me except for the fact that the car would turn all the way whenever I try to turn just a bit which made it impossible for me to play :(

But I think if you fix this little bug, you've got a very solid idea here. Congrats!

Last Car Standing by quadtree 2018-05-10T19:19:15Z

Absolutely, lovely! Though the idea is simple, it is one of the best games I played this jam so far.

One point worth mentioning is that the oil bomb is nearly useless since there is oil everywhere which makes the main target is to avoid the ones in front of you so maybe you can find a better way of utilizing the oil bomb. Also, I found it very strange that the cars could launch oil bombs so far ahead of me. I found it a bit illogical :)

Great job on the fun and innovation :)

The Tactical Trio by Aggrathon 2018-05-14T19:18:25Z

Great and innovative idea! Playing it was so fun. Congratulations :)

You can make it even more engaging by adding upgrades after each death to make your heroes stronger or add other skills or place barricades, etc.

Cursed Princess by Unentokku 2018-05-15T17:13:28Z

I totally loved this game. It was so unexpected, I thought it was gonna be one of these (too simple) games which are only telling a story but it turned out to be so intricate and actually difficult to beat :)

My recommendation is to add more alternatives to get supplies and money other than going to the city and mere chance, it will make things more interesting. And of course, adding music and sound effects will be a great emotional addition to this kind of game.

Great entry :)

Learn Math With Flappy Bee by nusan 2018-05-13T18:25:51Z

Great Game! I have no idea how you managed to do all that in the compo time but anyway great job.

I loved the graphics and motion. I think you missed the current theme though or maybe I'm not aware of what exactly are the two genres you combined here. I don't know :)

Blockheads by Ethan Kennerly 2018-05-14T15:28:23Z

Nice entry! I particularly liked the music and the game itself was okay but a bit confusing. I played the four levels and repeated two of them again and I'm not sure what is required. What I understood was to accumulate the same color together but maybe it requires the shapes of the heads to be a certain way too. I'm not sure.

The game looks nice but to be honest I expected more content and features from such a big team.

Also, you obviously missed the genre, I don't know why :)

Dungeon of Amplidi by godsboss 2018-05-13T10:18:24Z

A very clever idea and you implemented it very well. The animations were so cute and the overall experience was so much fun. Congratulations!

Lizards by jamioflan 2018-05-13T20:11:32Z

The best game I played this jam! Everything about it is great and it is obvious you put a lot of work in it. I played it for about 40 mins and I had a lot of fun :)

The only problems I found in the game are: - The audio not working (Linux version) - The hatchery not working - Bugs of lizards stuck that made it impossible for me to finish the game

If you fix those bugs, then you got yourselves a very solid game that you could finish and sell.

I followed you. Please, let me know if you decided to make a post-jam version of the game.

Super Balls Defense Base Craft by radmars 2018-05-15T16:08:14Z

Amazing! I totally loved this game. Everything was done exceptionally good and the idea itself is very innovative.

There was a bug where one of the balls got stuck below the lower left tower and wouldn't move so I have to restart.

@brendo I followed you. If you decided to keep working on this game let me know. Great job :)

Flowers in the frame by oab 2018-05-14T16:37:59Z

I unique style that I totally loved! There is nothing that I can criticize, everything was done very well. If there is one thing that will make it even better, it would be adding colors to the flowers and maybe the canvas as well. I think that would make things feel more alive.

Great work you did here. Congratulations :)

I'd like to play your game but the web link is not working for some reason. If you fixed it let me know.

Bruxa: Tactical Espionage Cooking by edugargollo 2018-05-13T21:33:13Z

Great Entry! This is one of the most polished games I saw this jam, it really looks great.

Other than the slowness of the character, the other flaw I found is having to go back to the same place to cook ingredients. I thought that made things a little bit boring. It would be better if the character kept moving from one place to the next somehow to keep things interesting.

But regardless, you made great work here and the way the guards followed you when spotted and it was possible to evade them was done pretty well. Also, the graphics were exceptional and the music and sound effects you picked were fitting and made a great mood for the game.

Congratulations :)

@G4MR Thanks for your feedback. Fixed all the problems you mentioned along with other ones. Thanks again :)

@Belga54 Thank you, Belga. It wasn't really my choice to learn and use GameMaker for this game jam. Unfortunately my hard gave out very recently and I was initializing the laptop using a live windows flash drive and there were other problems so I couldn't install unity. So, you see, it was the only option if I wanted to participate in the jam which I did :)

Also, I don't really think it is a bad idea to learn something in a jam, actually a lot of people recommend that you use a jam as an opportunity to try something which you normally wouldn't try or didn't have the time to try in your everyday work time. The way I see it, I learned something new in a couple of days that I probably wouldn't try otherwise. So even though the game didn't turn out great, I still consider it a win for me :)

@LooksLikeSomething Thank you so much for the kind words and the very constructive feedback :)

I will be sure to integrate your points in the post-jam version, if there was one :)

@Crimson Thank you for checking my game and for the kind words :)

I totally agree with you, the game very much needs player help and feedback. If I make a post-jam version I will be sure to make things clearer and easier for the player. Thanks again :)

@lightsoda Thanks for checking out my game. Yes, my initial intention was to make every part of the wall independent but, unfortunately, with the time frame I had, I couldn't do it. I will make sure to add the drop feature in the post-jam version. Thanks for the tip :)

@atridas Thanks for checking out my game. I agree with you that the feedback is minimal and If I make a post-jam version, I will make sure to give appropriate feedback to the player :)

@Erkberg Hey Erk, Thanks for checking this out and for the very helpful feedback. You always give me a very needed dose of inspiration+motivation :)

I had a lot of features slaughtered due to insufficient time, one of them was the catapult aim and fire feature and since I got a bug in its basic functionality I couldn't continue the rest of its features. But I hope to work on it later on in sha' Allah.

Secondly, you can pick multiple parts as long as you have space in your bag(you can carry 40 items).

I'll let you know if I decide to continue and again BIG THANKS :)

ClickerDefense by PhoenixofForce 2018-05-13T22:45:41Z

I can't run it in linux although I really want too :)

If you can give some instructions on where to find the executable file that would be great.

A-Card Shooter by Markus 2018-05-10T20:50:58Z

Great job! Very polished, fun and I loved the graphics and mechanics although the controls were too difficult(I don't know if this was intentional or not). The downside is that you missed the theme :)

Plane Fishing by Belga54 2018-05-08T00:53:02Z

Nice work! What I liked most was the graphics, those fish look so cute :)

Dungeon Drifter by TwinGhosts 2018-05-10T21:34:17Z

Amazing! I totally loved it. The graphics and mechanics are particularly good. I think you can add more hints to help the player. Like"health generates over time" and "you can outrun your opponents."

One of the best entries I played so far and has the potential to be much more :)

P.S. I followed you. If you decided to make a post-jam version let me know.

Castle Beat by Pixel Lifetime 2018-05-13T20:31:10Z

I loved the concept and great implementation. Also, great music track you chose there. As others mentioned, you need to find a way to fix the disconnection between the rhythm part and attack itself so that they kinda melt together.

Another thing I noticed was that sometimes some of the monsters would bypass the castle wall.

All in all, it's a really nice game. Congratulations :)

Run and Plant! by Hellblade 2018-05-10T22:16:33Z

This game is brutal! I mean I played for almost 20 min and managed to plant only two seeds :)

But if I ignore my sweat and pain and look at things objectively :D , the idea is great and unique, the graphics are nice and it is fun to play.

The main points to fix are the spaces between platforms and you need to increase the objects the player interact with. It will make things more interesting :)

Good job!

Scoop by BryceLTaylor 2018-05-15T15:38:07Z

I like the idea very much. The mechanics are nice too and everything is working as it should.

My comments are that it was quite easy to evade the enemy, especially in the last task. Also, the text entry part was a bit confusing, only at the last task I understood that when I enter something wrong it colors it in grey instead of green. If you added this info in the instructions it will make things clearer.

All in all, great work. Congratulations :)

Tale of Visions by SniperA 2018-05-14T18:47:33Z

This is a very unique game you did there and I like it. It has a very creepy feel to it and that is actually a compliment:)

I believe if you had more time to work on it you would have produced something much deeper and affecting. It needs a lot of work and time for sure both on the concept and the mechanics and I encourage you to keep working on it and keep us updated.

Good work :)

BattleFarm: Bullet Season by Crimson 2018-05-14T15:57:25Z

Nice game! I love the concept. I first thought that the right side was my team and the left was the enemy but I realized quickly that I was mistaken since I was bombarded from both sides :D

The graphics were very nice and it was really fun to play. I think if you could make it last longer and the difficulty more gradual that would be better. Also, you could consider using my first assumption and make this farmer the first line of defense for one of the teams. That could make things more interesting. All in all great work. Congratulations :)

I followed you. If you decided to make a post-jam version let me know :)

Tetris Space Shooter by shadowtzu 2018-05-13T09:36:53Z

I absolutely loved it! The graphics, the mechanics, the music, and effects were all great.

My only thing against it is that I didn't know where the space shooting fit with the Tetris play. What I mean is shooting the spaceships should yield me some benefits like slow the Tetris pieces speed so I have more time. It seemed to me like it didn't matter whether I shoot the spaceships or not.

ShmuRTS by bitowl 2018-05-10T18:20:41Z

I loved the graphics and the combination of genres. I believe the controls were easy enough and intuitive, I didn't have any problem with them, contrary to other people, maybe because I read the controls you wrote in here before I played. I felt bored after a while so maybe you didn't need to put all those planets since it became repetitive after awhile. All in all a great and very polished entry.

Congratulations :)

Note: The audio was not working for some reason. I was playing the html5 build.

Guilty and Beautiful by kazarey 2018-05-10T21:04:39Z

Nice game! New idea, good implementation. You totally missed the theme though :)

Town Warfare (RTS Shooting!) by magicera 2018-05-13T09:16:16Z

Cool game! I moved all my police officers to one of the walls and then switched to fps and started picking the zombies one by one :)

Very good work you did there in a time so short and I applaud you for it.

I thought of another way you could blend these two genres which is to put some strategically-placed turrets and you move your characters there and then switch to FPS to use the turret. This way you will limit the FPS to the turret positions and the RTS everywhere else.
