A really good game. Would have been good if there is an indication of which baby I have selected and where that baby is going also some indication of which baby is idle so I know to give it a task. Didn't really appreciate the shortcut in the zip file to a url
Really good game. It is really silly, but the game feels finished and the mechanics work, making it really fun to play.
What isn't to like about this game? The dialogue is hilarious, the game-play is fun, the art-style blew me away.. Great game, and one I definitely won't be uninstalling after the jam :)
This game is pretty brilliant. First off, the audio and visuals are just top notch, with excellent sprite work and amazing voice acting. The humor was on point too; in addition to the initial premise and funny dialog, I especially love the little Easter eggs that would sometimes show up as the enemy ship was pulling away. On top of all that, the gameplay is also amazing. I like the micromanagement you have to do, and the tension between repairing the ship and arming the cannons makes for some hectic action. I especially love how the broken floor creates an obstacle for your babies, adding an extra twist to navigation. Overall, this game is spectacular. Fantastic work!

A very funny game with an incredible production value. Good voice acting too ! The core gameplay is very interesting, but it get boring as the challenge doesn't increase much. Still a very promising concept !

Fantastic game, very fun to play. Great graphics, I love how the game uses the story to get players into the "pirate-y" mood and the scaling difficulty makes it engaging for long play sessions. I don't have any other feedback, as the game is a joy to play.
Awesome! :D I was hoping the chickens would get stunned when I bombed them or got knocked around by the balls, but alas what a great entry! had good fun playing. The voice over artist is also top notch. I'm not a fan of games that bomb you with a wall of text as you open them but it's so much more palatable when you have a great narrator.

Really great game, lost on the fifth ship. Game design, art, music, sfx and even a voiceover - everything was awesome and I encountered no bugs as well.
If I were to suggest anything so that this wasn't just a useless praise, it'd be a change to the overall game progression - I was expecting some more stuff or different enemies to appear later on (though admittedly I can't be sure they don't appear on 6+ ships; that said, even if that was the case I'd recommend moving that to earlier stages since the game gets hard enough to those of us who don't play that many RTS, haha).
For example, a collectible making up a stronger weapon creating a risk-reward situation - you have to collect two pieces to shoot with a much bigger area of coverage, yet you have to waste time on actually gathering it without any instant payout.

SUPER FUN!! this needs to be a full game, that you can get for consoles, with multiplayer, story modes, and more, this is my new favourite game this Ludum Dare!!! (although the mermaid came out of nowhere) if there had to be a critique there is a bug where if the two babies reach the cannon at the same time, both cannonballs get taken but you get only one shot, not sure if its a bug or intentional.

Great game! First round was figuring it out and trying to kill the chickens instead of the ship. Second round sunk 8 ships. Couldn't do a third...too much baby crying going on :P

This was great! From the screenshots it looks like it was going to be a tactics game but it's really a game about multi-tasking. I love all of the little verbal stingers and the art is great. I found the geometric gameplay really interesting although once I got into a groove I kinda wish there was some kind of little extra dynamic to keep track of. Still, it certainly kept my attention. Really well done :D.

This is the best entry I've played so far. Flawless, could easily be a commercial game. From the voice acting to the graphics, music and gameplay... Just wow, awesome job guys! I'm baffled that this could be done during LD.

Great game, lovely presentation, tight controls and difficulty curve. I really enjoyed playing this. Minor suggestions - highlight the baby being controlled and don't detach control once one instruction is complete. Otherwise, faultless! Great job!
Nice and fun game to play and veeery addictive :) First I thought that I am winning by hitting the chicken, then I realised that the point is someplace else :) Definitely well handled piece just the theme is perhaps bit lacking in my opinion. Apart from that very nice entry! Good job guys!
This is amazing. I love the deliciously bizarre ships' crews, and it played very nicely. Difficulty ramped a bit slowly for me, but it's a really nice execution, and a neat design. Very nicely done! Oh, and the voice acting is superb, really adds a ton, particularly in that intro!
Damn, that was CUTE! And that voice-acting was surprisingly good - kudos to the whole team for pulling a good quality game during jam's hours!
As I liked more than I didn't, let me start with the second:
* At the beginning, it was hard for me to understand I need to move the baby, then - that I can move the baby for more than one slot at once, then - that the whole point is to do it in steps, as this way baby can move in the most efficient way without repearing the ship. * Also, I thought at first I'm triggering the repair myself and I need to do that over attacking enemy! * Baby sounds are unnecessarily loud, screaming over that damn good narrator I love with all my heart and soul.
* If you don't get discouraged at first, game does teach you what to through rising difficulty, so it's not that bad! * I did actually swear at these damn chickens, friggin' landlubbers, what are they doing, they can't even SWIM! * Graphics, audio and implementation of the whole was really nice <3
Overall, I think a small tutorial in the beginning would be useful for dumbos like me, but the game itself was very neat!
A very solid entry! It's basically a fully finished and polish already. All in all, great take on the theme, it plays like a odd strategy-puzzle-sport game, odd but I like it.

The only problem was with mouse controls not being perfect, this is however a perfect fit for mobile. I LOVE IT!!!

If any feedback can be squeezed out of this solid game: - The baby selecting and moving is a little less than ideal - drag and release should work, and an indicator for which baby's selected would have been nice. - Is the pattern for the cannon shot random? I would have liked an indication of what the pattern would be coming up? Not a huge issue though. - THIS IS SO GOOD
This was pretty much flawless and could easily be considered a final game.
My only complain, relatively minor, is the fact that babies are deselected when you issue an action, forcing you to click on them again even if the most likely next step is to have that baby do something else (for example, get ball -> take ball to cannon). The mechanic is solid again to work fine without that added friction: It might feel smoother to keep them selected by default, and if you want to switch to a different kid you could then do that afterwards.
With this said, now come the good things, which is pretty much everything: * The game concept feels really original, challenging and fits the theme perfectly. As for controls, they're quite intuitive. * Humor and mood also shine because of the absurd setting (pirate babies vs chicken :hearts::hearts::hearts:) amazingly coupled with the super polished visuals and sound. The narrator is a brilliant addition!
Congratulations! I think this is the first game on this edition I've given a full, perfect score so far!

This game is very good, but the instructions on how to play were very confusing at first. It took me a little while to realise that the babies were the only ones who could load the cannons.
