Really funny interpretation of the theme :slight_smile:

Really funny interpretation of the theme :slight_smile:
Graphic style is like SimCity-Classic but in isometric perspective, i really love it :slight_smile:
The funniest game so far, very nice idea and i love the art-style
Hey, you have an upgrade system and robots! :smile: Gameplay is fun and music groves, it was quite hard as i am not use to 'wasg'-controls :wink: And the retro graphics (especially the ui) reminds me of old industry-terminal screens, love it :heart: :thumbsup:
Really good and hard game (especially as I use a ergonomic keyboard-layout and it took me some time to get use to the 'unusual' controls).
I would prefer the arrow-keys :grin: + ctrl/space or 0 ^^
Great job :) very funny idea, love it. The graphics look very well done and the sound is annoying but great as well.
The Graphics, sound-xf and 'message' of this game are amazing :)
As for the gameplay: You can build/upgrade buildings to build more buildings, but there is absolutely no pressure to do so ^^ ... but it's very nice to look at :grin:
Cool idea! :) i like the death-screens :grin:
Great game. I like the look-and feel. But for the controls i would prefer inverted up/down like in flight-simulators, but that's really a minor issue.
I had some trouble with the web-version (only half of the screen was visible) but this might be a related to by OS (FreeBSD/Firefox). Beside that, i really like this game :) the puzzles are well designed and make fun. I also like the dark, slowly rotating background. Together with the minimalist graphics and the 'echoing' sounds it sets an interesting space-link mood :)
@stateoff XD I ran your game using [wine](https://www.winehq.org/), worked like a charm :smiley:
Very fun to play, I also like the retro-style graphics :slight_smile:
the Tetris/BaseBuilding mix fit's the the theme very well, great work! :smile:
I like the theme interpretation, though the game could be more polished :wink:
Awesome soundtrack (reminds me of the 'classic' MegaMan games), very nice retro-graphics and good overall game-play. :thumbsup:
Hey big Thx for the feedback :) I've added some more game-play information to the description
@vivek-sharma20 @kamilko Thank you for trying out :) and of course TIC-80 Rocks ^^
Thank you very much @gamepopper. Yepp, pickup/putdown is a little bit tricky but it guess it could have been worse ^^
Hey @neipo13, thank you for the reply. You are right, shredder-boy is a little bit lazy (actually i thing it's easier to navigate at this speed, but as this is a TIC-80 game, you can adjust the player_speed variable and check it out on double-speed) Hehe, the shredder sound was the last thing i added to the game, and i was in crunch(sig!) mode ^^
Thx for your feedback @stateoff. Shredder-boy is indeed doomed. The packet amount you receive in each 'wave' is random but the time between the 'waves' decrements over time.
It would also be nice if one could move the Computer/Shredder but ... on the other hand, that would make it way to easy ;)
Hi @znw, Thx for the comment. You are absolutely right, all objects are aligned to an 'invisible' grid, except for the player, that makes it somewhat difficult to see which object is 'selected'.
Thank you @wolderado :smiley:
Thx @samueldeboni :) as there is a lot of feedback about the controls .. is it that you get stuck at objects/walls or is it more a problem with the pick-up/put-down mechanic ... or both? :smile:
@samueldeboni thank you for the reply :slight_smile:
@albin @chipolux Thank you very much :slight_smile:
@chipolux TIC-80 is absolutely worth a look (same for PICO-8, PixelVision-8, ...)
Thanks to all of your feedback I already have some ideas which i think could relax the control-issues :smiley:
Thank you @endurion :slight_smile:
I'll put it on the post-jam feature list. It would be good if Shredder-Boy is only slow when carrying packets.
@rngsilvercraft Hey there and thx for trying out. The game in short: Just try to keep the left (yellow striped) area free ;) every incoming packet gives you 10 points right away (shredded packets give you 5 and each garbagebin taken from the garbage area gives you 20 points).
Thx for your feedback @amba :slight_smile: unfortunately i had not enough time left for the soundtrack but maybe i publish a more featured version after rating is over :smiley:
Thank you very much @anstabo. The limited perspective makes it sometimes hard to see if if a particular package is reachable. I'll address this issue in a Post-LD update.
@silvio @chuchugeralt @rainbow-rave Thank you very much for your positive feedback :hearts:
@silvio i'll give it a try :thumbsup:
@rainbow-rave jepp, that can happen, had no idea how to prevent it (easily) :smile: I have a feature list for the 'aftermath'-version, it includes at least that you are faster, when not carrying something.
@daanvanyperen
Thank you for your feedback. Maybe I overdone it with the 'start'-boxes, but without them it looked kind of empty. I really like the idea of a tutorial, introducing the game play, maybe I will add it in a post-jam release ;)
@remco Thank you so much :smile: The lack of music is in fact owed to the limited time. Also there are some features missing that i had 'planned', but i guess even with those features it would still be kind of menial :laughing:
I really did not thought of particle-effects, screenshake or something like that. That would indeed improve the 'player experience', thank you for the inspiration :slight_smile:
Hey @philstrahl, thank you for trying out :thumbsup:
@leophys thank you :smile: i guess rymdkapsel is more relaxing (and with music :grin:) but i see the similarities
Graphics sound and mood are all fine :v: unfortunately I totally failed in crafting anything ^^
Ah :) good to know, i'll try it again ^^
This i a really nice one, i like everything about it * controls: work like a charm * idea/gameplay: fun and addictive :wink:. I like the conversion of the theme, i guess this will be one of my favorite games in this Jam :slight_smile: * sfx/music: sfx great, no music but a spheric sound carpet (that totally sets the mood) :thumbsup: * graphics: fits the mood
all in all, great game, looks and feels very polished and totally fits the theme and is fun to play :)
Hey there, that's a neat little game. I guess this kind of games would profit a lot from some in-game music ;)
Neat little puzzle-game :)
A very unusual game, but it works :smiley:
OMG It's at least as addictive as Tetris! Looks very polished and executed with great craftsmanship. Congrats! :)
At first I thought the Jam would break when it falls to fast :D
Hey thank you @frogmen! you would laugh but in the first builds i targeted 100 instead of 30 :D
Thank you all for your feedback :)
@ianthebee,@pseudohausen: actually my plan was to speed everything up in the polish-phase but after some play-testing I came to the conclusion that i liked it the slower-way
@kevin-s: When you have to wait for the lava ... you are to fast ;)
@doc-kaos: I had the plan to do some music but ran out of time
@quinn-patrick: Jipp, you are right, the top most row is filled with lava. I added that very late as a bugfix to prevent the lava to get stuck (when out of screen)
I love the graphics and humor, really enjoyed playing it :)
The character looks really funny. It would be nice when hearts/points would disappear after you have collected them. But it was fun to play, keep it going :)
I was a little puzzled at first, but after some mouse-over actions and deaths i found my robot-love <3 Arrow-Key controls would be nice as i use a keyboard-layout where WASD is not really usable
Oh no, I spend way to much $$$ on pink plushies :grin:
Boss-Fight where you don't expect one :) Good job and nice idea with the paint-mechanics :)
Thank you all for your feedback <3
@frankey333 THx, They are generated on the fly with a simplified wave-function-collapse-like algorithm
@someone XD jepp, the game-over screen was literally hacked into the game in the very last minutes of the jam
Definitely one of my favorite games in this Jam :) Nice graphics especially for a COMPO game :)
Love the graphics. The cat is really cute <3
I did not expect a skill-tree :D nice work :)
Great idea for the tutorial/level/screen :)
