love the ASTETIC and the sound track

loustak 2021-04-26 06:47

I died 11 times before winning. I liked this game! Loving the minimalist graphics. The audio is very good too. My only complain would be about the tutorial: I was a bit lost at first.

Good job.

I like this game. At first I died a couple of times and didn't really understand why then I stopped at took it a little slower and as I did it started to grow on me. I really enjoyed the mood you created with this. I am a big lover of Ascii roguelikes so the graphical styling of this game also really made me want to try it even more. So yea I really like what you made and found it kinda beautiful in a weird sort of way.

That was a nice little game :)

It took me a little while to realise that my battery was running out in real time and that it was a race against time rather than a puzzle. I love the mood and music, and the graphic design is super neat.

Nice game and clever graphics ! I would love a infinity mode or a second level

5mixer 2021-04-26 09:02

Graphics were great, even just the loading screen was a clever changeup. The realtime countdown was a bit frustrating as I wanted to mouseover things but didn't have time to! Good game :)

fictions 2021-04-26 09:08

The music fit's so well to that minimalistic art. :two_hearts: After I discovered, that you can exit throug the left to the right and vice versa it was a lot easier :smirk: I somehow even managed to get another U

frogmen 2021-04-26 09:28

hahaha yeah that's one of the bugs that i couldn't fix in time :) after the rating period is over i'd like to upload a final bug-free version (maybe with different modes and turn-based instead of realtime!)

ty 2021-04-26 09:39

yoo!!!! this is so cute and simple! i love it so much omg. the minimalistic art style! the music that's adaptive (i think? or at least it felt like it was) and the story is all so cute! gosh i love this so much. good job!!!

bloham 2021-04-26 09:58

Very good game! I like the sound design and the minimalism. It took me some tries to get together with my robo love, but I did it! 3 Times :D

shaggyfox 2021-04-26 13:56

I was a little puzzled at first, but after some mouse-over actions and deaths i found my robot-love <3 Arrow-Key controls would be nice as i use a keyboard-layout where WASD is not really usable

frogmen 2021-04-26 14:14

i was worried that the game would be too confusing to understand so i'm pleasantly surprised by how many people seem to be enjoying it! thank you all

@theseusinabottle i do love the ascii style :) as i was developing this, i found myself thinking of games like cogmind and dwarf fortress. both very beautiful games in their own way

@shaggyfox yeahh i noticed that some other games had control options for different keyboard layouts. i'll have to remember that for the next jam!

chensu 2021-04-26 23:12

Love the graphic, it is soooo peaceful. Really nice choice of colors.

minotalen 2021-04-27 14:02

Nice choice of colors, love the muted olive.

haematite 2021-04-27 16:10

Like it! Took me a while to figure out that my battery was decreasing, but once I'd got that sorted it was a really nice experience. Somehow a very pretty game even though it's just ASCII art!

zondarg 2021-04-27 16:36

Nice, Ascii art and somehow nethack style. "reunited at last" but died a lot until then. Cool music, minimalist graphics. Found it a bit hard to understand whats going on and what the letters mean, but after a bit of trial and error.. Good work!

frogmen 2021-04-27 17:05

@haematite thank you! it may just be ascii art, but the font played a very big part in getting it to look good. you can find it on google fonts, called "DM Mono". i got lucky that open fonts are allowed in the jam!

@zondarg that's one of the biggest things i want to improve with this game post-jam, making it easier to understand. glad u made it in the end :)

pancelor 2021-04-27 18:39

this is lovely! the music is a great touch. I found the game confusing at first but it was fun to figure out (and simple enough that it felt fine) I like the colors+font

threeli 2021-04-27 20:12

The color palette and sound were excellent. I read above you're going to include a turn-based mode, and that was going to be my suggestion. Options are always a good thing (I think, I know that goes against some folk's design ethos) and I feel like you're starting to design a really cool little world. Basically, I wish I could take my time and read the flavor text. I can't wait to play the bigger badder version. Awesome!

weirdybeardyman 2021-04-29 12:49

Nice tiny little game, I love the ASCII style, really minimal and beautiful.

tanis 2021-05-01 15:13

ASCII is the top! Very well done. I think it's somewhat way too difficult but I enjoyed it

oadt 2021-05-16 11:10

Nice minimal style and nice music! At first it is difficult to figure out which objects you should collect. At the end my stategy was to just collect powerbanks and rush through the level and it worked  Nice entry!
