This is a nicely developed concept that perfectly fits the theme. I really liked the graphics and audio, plus the in-game UI was clear and helpful.
Something that would have been cool, would be the ability to construct buildings that you don't start off with (e.g. a goldmine to collect a gold resource). I think that would give more of a sense of 'developing' the tensie civilisation.
All in all, I think this is a great entry :) great job!

This is a pretty fun game! The loop is actually really fun and I think it's a really cool idea how you record their actions for their future children. Very interesting concept!
Only issue I had was I wish you didn't have to wait a whole loop to command the next generation. It would be simpler to just click on a tree, select how many you want to take, and then move them to whichever deposit you want to go to. It sometimes feels like forever to have to individually select each person... especially when there's a lot of houses and the resources dry out too fast. Perhaps making the resources from one place larger and the cost of things more expensive to incentive speeding up the process.
Anyways great game! Happy jamming!
Until now, this was the most fun game I played! I like the concept and think it is well executed!
Interesting game. This feels like a unique interpretation of the theme in a cool, tactical way. The music is on point for the game. I feel you should be able to click on objects to give orders for next generations. Although, that might reduce immersion and make it less personal. I agree that the one issue is waiting for the next generation when you want to make an order. I wish you could also cancel construction sites if you're not happy with the placement.
Good work!
Great application of the theme! I really like the concept of recording the Tensie's actions. Tutorial was good, I had a little trouble still getting going but maybe I should just read more carefully  Seriously fun concept with a neat storyline and I think it has a lot of legs to be expanded. Great job!
My favorite so far! Really nice concept and it plays very well for such a short development time. I would have loved to have a better indicator about who is idle, like a question mark above the house. And it's also quite annoying that you have to wait a full cycle to fix the one you screwed up, an option to cancel the current 'recording' would be neat - so you could start it again without looking at the failure first. But besides that, I don't have anything to criticise. This is really good, well done!

Hi Rolly!
I had a few good laughs at the Tensies remarks, and the final "This is how I imagine you" killed me.
Also love the little details (progressing names and "changing faces" of the characters talking to you) that underline the shortness of lives of the Tensies. I see you put a lot of effort into this, and it shows .)
Great game you made there! I could definitely play some more of this. Very original .) Well done!
Oh I love the goofy writing. Commanding an entire species of organisms that die in ten seconds for a gold idol of myself feels a bit morally corrupt, but hey, I now have a gold idol of myself. worth it.
I think the music was a *bit* repetitive. I understand that's the nature of a ten second music loop though. I also started using the whistle at the end as an audio cue, since I had just barely enough time to drop things off at the depot after it started.
I recorded myself playing for ***maximum feedbackage***:

Love it. It's always good to see something that is not an "arcady" game in the jam, was not expecting to see a functional strategy/management game, even less so it being a compo. My most honest congratulations
Pretty neat how you can set up early in the game to do well later on. I couldn't find a way to undo a character's path though, so before I understood the game i send one off to collect apples and never deposit them so he was a waste lol. Great job on the game!

This must be my favorite game for LD51! Great implementation of theme and you created a well rounded fun little game. I love the intro and the portrait you drew - it really sets the mood. I also love how the nice little Tensec (took me a bit over ten seconds to get the pun :D) are transformed into a capitalistic society where everyone's lifetime is exploited to the maximum to build me a golden statue. Somewhere this needs a "drink beer" animation.

Really neat concept.
Definitely one of my favorite games in this Jam :) Nice graphics especially for a COMPO game :)
Quite fun once you got into it! I liked optimising the routes and getting as many resources as possible to the depot just in time.
Did the game/description ever explain that you can only have some 3 people running around at once? I didn't realise until they were suddenly missing and I wasn't getting any food and lost ☹️
It was funny that the generations passed every ten seconds even in the speech boxes. The music was nice. Cosy game! Controls were nice and intuitive, I guess panning the view by moving the mouse to the edges would've been nice too. Played for a while. Well done!!

Hey @ava-skoog Thanks for your feedback, and sorry if something was unclear. I failed to inform the player that all resources are limited (bushes only have 100 berries on them, trees have 50 units of wood, rocks have 50 stone, and gold deposits have 10 units of gold). When a deposit is empty, a Tensie will automatically detect that none of his actions have any effect, and stop doing it. There is no limit on the number of Tensies that can "work" at the same time ;)
My assumption is that the bush(es) was emptied when you assigned a task to a 4th Tensie, and stopped doing it - but it's only a coincidence!

Wow! Simply amazing! What is even more insane it is a Compo! And one of the most interesting games I saw during this LD. Awesome job with the game! I just wish there was more.
@rolly: Ahh, that's probably what happened—thanks for clarifying!
Go work you lazy Tensies! It's actually a strategy /management game in disguise... Good work!
