Great idea and amazingly polished. Had a lot of fun playing this; it was both relaxing and stimulating. Fantastic job

Great idea and amazingly polished. Had a lot of fun playing this; it was both relaxing and stimulating. Fantastic job
First time i've played a game like this and it was a lot of fun! Superb job on the graphics and sound effects. Gameplay was simple and intuitive, I think I would have liked some sort of instant feedback about a bill's popularity to help future decisions. Overall I think this is a great entry, well done!
Solid game! I didn't understand it at first but once grasping it it was very fun. It might have been nice to split the game into levels, i.e. having the first one with just two ingredient types and then progressively increase. Great job!
totally digging the artstyle and the way the crows were done. Did find moving around the town a little slow and tedious, so woulda appreciated a little more stimulation either through gameplay or more cool artwork to keep me wanting to continue. Overall, I loved the concept, so great job!
amazingly polished and highly enjoyable. I thought the mechanics worked perfectly together and the game felt complete. Just a fantastic job all around!
Such a cool idea and you executed on it well! I like how you introduced the different combinations through the levels so it wouldn't overwhelm the player. Fantastic job!
Cool game! I loved the graphics and the boss's attacks felt very unpredictable and crazy. Great interpretation of the theme :) I scored 5100
Really nice polished experience. I thought it was a great fit to the theme and everything was well executed. Great job!
So much fun! I love the concept and the aesthetic. nice simple mechanic that was executed perfectly. Fantastic entry!
Awesome graphics and the music worked nicely. Personally, I found it too difficult so it was kinda a mix between fun and stress. Good job!
This was such a fun game!!! I really liked the difficulty progression and it was really addictive. The graphics and music fitted it perfectly. Amazing job!
I liked the general atmosphere of the game: cool setting, good audio and nice graphics. However, I did find the camera quite difficult to control and it kept clipping through surfaces. nice job tho!
Very original, very fun and absolutely hilarious!
wow, what did I just play haha. Loved the sense of humour and the dialogues throughout. Also, the visuals were great.
thought it was impossible the first couple of tries but then I got the hang of it and really enjoyed it. good job!
Nice little concept. The instructions image and simple controls made this really easy to just start playing straight away. good job!
This game is absolutely gorgeous!!! I loved the graphic style, the movement, the sound and the general atmosphere. I just wish it had more depth or a bigger challenge. All in all, I still think it's a great entry.
Great submission! Loved all the effort put into the menu screen and visual effects. Really immersive game although the controls felt kinda awkward for me so limited the fun. I still think this is a great game, so well done!
I guess you could call this a game XD but actually I did have fun and it made me laugh so good job!
Honestly this is one of the best game jam games i've ever played. It is so original and beautifully put together. Played it about 10 times and still love it. Just an amazing job - super congrats!!
I'm super impressed by the amount of story content you managed to do. The graphics, sound and flow all work really well. Had me proper hooked reading. Great job!
Very fun and silly - really liked it! Graphics were great and the gameplay was engaging. Great job!
Really solid entry, game was easy to understand and the difficulty progression through levels was just right. Very fun game, good job!
Really good submission. I really like the variation in the canonball direction. One thing that I would have liked is an indicator to show if I could build something.
It took a while to understand what to do, however I did like the concept and I thought the graphics worked really well. Good job :)
Really good game! I love the 3d feel but in a 2d game
I thought the game was nicely polished and the graphics were really good. Gameplay felt a little repetitive but I had fun playing it. Goob job!
@tutoa i'm so glad you noticed the herd dynamics :) it took a long time to get right. Thanks for playing!
@dafluffypotato hey, thanks for the feedback! Btw I got into gamedev by learning pygame and watching your videos, so it's great to see you comment on one of my games almost 2 years later
Hey, great concept! the increasing darkness and sound really increased the tension. Good job :)
Fun game :) nice simple concept, the graphics were cute and the sound design was a great fit. Well done
Would love to have seen this fleshed out a bit. The art style was just wonderful, and I think the simple exploration gameplay matched it perfectly. With some more mechanics and depth, this would have been fantastic! Still a good attempt though so well done!
Really polished game! Simple concept but executed so well it was really enjoyable. Special props to the sound design. My only slight complaint would be some objects were difficult to grab, but apart from that I think this is a fantastic submission. Awesome job!
I had so much fun playing this game. From the start, the pixel art was beautiful and the gameplay super clear. I don't know if it's possible to beat this game or I just suck but I didn't even come close to paying the rent :D Amazing submission - great job!
Love the aesthetics of this game - the soundtrack was especially good. Great polish on the animations and the starting cut-scene. Hitting/kiting the mobs did feel a little awkward though. Really great submission, well done!
Really loved this! The gameplay was intuitive and really satisfying. Every little detail of this game was superbly polished and made a difference. I thought the powerups were a great way to prevent the game becoming too monotonous. Amazing submission!
The best game i've played in the jam so far. The artstyle, the lightning and scary monsters just worked perfectly together. Having small puzzle variations for getting past monsters kept the gameplay from being too repetitive, and the save system prevented dying from being too frustrating. Just fantastic in so many ways - really well done!
This is a nicely developed concept that perfectly fits the theme. I really liked the graphics and audio, plus the in-game UI was clear and helpful.
Something that would have been cool, would be the ability to construct buildings that you don't start off with (e.g. a goldmine to collect a gold resource). I think that would give more of a sense of 'developing' the tensie civilisation.
All in all, I think this is a great entry :) great job!
I really liked the concept of this one and thought it was a nice fit for the theme. Good job :)
Fantastic idea and really well executed! Loved the art and sound design of this - really gave it a spooky but surreal feel. I liked the variety of puzzles and that there was some randomisation to make repeat runs feel more unique. Like everyone else, I only wish there were more puzzles - but overall I think this is a fantastic submission! Great job
Very polished game! I thought everything was really well made: the graphics, audio, level design, player controls. However I did find it a little too challenging, it didn't feel like the stopwatches gave much help at all. Overall this is a really great entry, well done :)
Nice take on the theme - really liked choosing the preferences before the speed dating. Sometimes it felt like I lost life randomly even when selecting my preferences, but perhaps I just misunderstood something. Good entry :)
I liked the artstyle of this game, and it felt nicely polished with sfx and vfx. I did find the movement kinda difficult to begin with but after a few plays it made more sense. Good job :)
umm where's the game?
this had me cracking up!!! Gameplay was simple but fun and well executed. The dialogues between rounds were hilarious. Great entry :D
This is an interesting puzzle game - I liked the concept of having to find the right answer within the 10-second rounds. I LOVED the obscure artstyle, font and vfx in this.
Sometimes it felt a little buggy and the head wouldn't move where I wanted it to (also annoying that it can go off screen).
Great job!
Nice game! I really liked the animation for attacking. Perhaps it could have been more satisfying with more enemies that are easier to kill. Great job :)
The gameplay was really satisfying (especially the shotgun), and the graphics/sfx were well polished. Some variation in the enemies would have been cool but apart from that it's a great submission! Well done :)
@taximan981 Really happy you enjoyed it! Totally agree about having some visual/audio feedback for picking up the drinks. Thanks for playing
@rolly haha yeah the weird layout in the 3rd level definitely makes it harder. I was considering at one point totally randomised table layouts but the game was already hard enough. Thanks for all the great feedback :)
@coderaurus Thanks for playing and the useful feedback!
@undermountain Glad you enjoyed it :)
@cogent-invalid sorry to hear that, I think I only accounted for framerate in the player movement but not in other areas of the game - my bad, lesson learnt for next time. Thanks for playing and leaving the feedback
@eeperdeheap hmm strange but thanks for reporting - i'll look into it.
@substain Thanks for playing and giving feedback!
I did like the graphics, but there were far too many enemies early on and attacking them could have been more satisfying. Perhaps the enemies should be stunned or pushed back a little after an attack. With some balancing and polish this could be a really nice little game :)
That was a really fun little adventure. Gameplay was clear and music exceptional. I think you did a great job with the mood and sound effects. I would have loved even more horror aspects to this because I really did feel on edge and wanted to be scared by something. Great job!
Really intuitive gameplay and cute graphics. Nice little puzzle game and the idea of babies and storks was a nice take on the theme :) well done
Hi! had a lot of fun playing this
What I enjoyed: * gameplay was clear and fun * original take on the theme * nicely polished with VFX / screenshake etc
Suggestions: * some background music * art for the characters
Great job!
Such a great game! I liked every part of it: the art, the music, the "courses". Really well done :)
This is such a perfect game in every way. I hope to one day create a game-jam game as a good as this  Seriously well done!
Definitely an enjoyable game :) I think you did an excellent job with the art and music, and I loved the ability to change appearance in the mirror. The multiple food items was a nice addition. I think there was a bit of complexity missing from the main gameplay but overall I had fun playing it. Good job!
Fantastic game! Really well implemented and well polished.
What I liked: * Controls and movement felt great * levels were well designed and I loved the seamless transitions between them * Puzzles were fun to solve with a good progression in difficulty * Coherent minimalist art style
Suggestions: * Personally I would have liked more colour and detail in the assets (although I did like the style you went with)
Great job!
Excellent job on the art and VFX. I think you chose the perfect colour palette. Gameplay was simple but fun, I do wish the van could turn both ways with more obstacles in the middle of the road. As others have remarked, it looks and feels like a ready-to-play mobile game! Fantastic job, well done :)
lol... did not expect the game to take that turn, but what an innovative take on the theme! I liked the graphics, weapon pickups, voice lines and general craziness of it. Great job!
What a great game! had a really spooky feel to it and some of the endings took me completely by surprise. Nice touch on the bobbing camera to simulate walking. Great job!
@sirlich Thank you so much for the kind and useful feedback! I spent most of this jam on the art :D so ended up kinda neglecting the gameplay/mechanics. Your suggestions sound like good improvements to the game.
@ellaris Thanks for the feedback :) I did intend on animating some of the characters along with VFX but just ran out of time. In the end I decided against an indicator to encourage exploration but I see your point. Thanks for playing
@jamesw Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I've been working on my own engine on and off for the past year. It's written in c++ and uses OpenGL for the graphics. I do intend on releasing it on Github in the future for others to potentially use but I want to fix some things and add some features before that point :) you can take a look at the source code for this game to get a rough idea of the engine's API
@ddesigndude @raggedyjam Thank you so much for the kind comments.
@boeruchan well I can tell you the turtle happily survived with just a few bruises ;)
@josemwarrior yeah it does take a while unfortunately. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Hey, couldn't get the web version to work. It was just stuck on the intro description of the game and I couldn't work out how to proceed. Is this a bug or am I meant to press/click something?
Such a great entry! Funnest game of the jam so far and I loved the humor in it. Really well done
Hey! I really liked the art style, the music and general silliness of it :D. The fixed camera, albeit a bit janky in places, was a great addition. The box AI worked well. It would have been nice to have some visual/audio feedback when you jump on top of them, especially for the boss fight. Overall i'm very impressed with all the little polished details you included, it made the game feel high quality. Really well done!
I really liked the first minigame, and would have loved to see more puzzles/levels using this mechanic. Are the diamond puzzles even possible to do on reaction? Can't tell if it's just guesswork or i'm just slow  Good job!
Hey! The art for this game was just superb: I loved the main character, the crows, the monster mouths, and just about everything really. I found the mouse too responsive which meant the platforming was a little tough. I think this game has a lot of promise and could be expanded. Really well done
Hey, it did take a while to understand the gameplay, perhaps a small tutorial or in-game text would have made it clearer. That said, I thought the concept was fun and innovative, and I really liked the art style. Good job!
Very polished and relaxing game. I think the choice of art and music worked well, but I would have preferred to see some homemade assets :) Good entry tho - well done!
Hey! Quite a simple game but fun nonetheless. I really liked the art style and small animations of the pandas. I felt like this game could have been taken much further with different levels and mechanics. Good job :)
Very nice concept and a really relaxing game to play. Good job :)
Very nice game, I especially liked the graphics and mood. The combat worked well and was fun.
Good job!
Oh how I wish this game was a bit longer! Absolutely loved the art and humor. Gameplay was great (albeit very short) and really suited the theme.
Great job
Funy game! The game felt nicely polished, I really liked the addition of the star ratings for each level. Graphics were simple but clean and worked well. Loved that you added additional game mechanics to prevent it from becoming too repetitive.
Good job :)
Absolutely loved the graphics, especially the little monsters. Everything was nicely polished and the core game loop was fun :)
Great job!
Game felt polished and relaxing. The gameplay was clear and well explained. Really well done!
Such a fun game! Very clear, intuitive gameplay and nicely polished. I think you did a fantastic job with the graphics.
Really enjoyed playing this, well done!
You did a fantastic job with the atmosphere and level design. The audio and graphics fit the game perfectly. The game loop was fun but got a bit repetitive after a few days. Personally I would have liked arrow keys for movement.
Really nice job, well done!
@hangovergames Thanks!
@littlebear totally agree about the music, I couldn't find anything that suited it. Thanks for the kind comment
@flying-butter-studio Hey, sorry you're having issues, it could be a bug but has generally worked for me. Try these steps:
1. you need to be in the movement phase (second icon) 2. Click on the country you want to move units from (Must have at least 1 unit) 3. Click on the country you want to move units to 4. Use up arrow key to choose the number of units 5. Press enter to move the units
@jukepoks1 I really appreciate the detailed feedback. I definitely agree with you about all of the UI improvements including battle log, available actions, visual indicators etc.
I do want to continue working on this project so all this feedback is very useful to me.
@corporation Thanks for the feedback :) very much appreciated
I think you did a great job with the graphics and audio design. Unfortunately, the maze was just far too big with zero clues for finding the exit so I just spent ages wandering around. With some exit-finding mechanics or visual indicators this would have been a great horror game.
Absolutely loved this. Great take on the theme, the dialogues were super funny, art and music worked perfectly, and the mini-games were fun!
Really well done!
Nice take on the theme :) the abilities were well designed and unique. The biggest thing missing for me was some juicy graphics and vfx.
Great job!
.jar file doesn't work for me unfortunately
I actually think you had quite a good concept here - a limited number of jumps opens up some fun puzzle-platformer levels. I think the game missed the mark on two things: the platforming felt a bit clunky (very floaty jump), and the levels didn't have much of a puzzle aspect, it was rather just get from A to B.
That said, well done on finishing the jam! With a bit more polish and execution this would have been a great entry :)
YEAHHHHHHH now that's a game!!! Reminded me of the original top-down GTA gameplay: just pure reckless destruction. For me, you absolutely nailed the controls, VFX, SFX and polish.
Loved it.
Very innovative concept and perfect for the theme
