Very nice concept and a really relaxing game to play. Good job :)

Interesting concept, I really enjoyed creating my city and then seeing it underwater. However, two things frustrated me: not being able to preview what I was about to place and not being able to undo my action, because I often confused "pillar" and "column." But overall, it's already very well done, good job! ;)

Very creative interpretation of the theme! I found it very relaxing, and played through a few times after learning out what each building piece looked like, as well as the max building height so I could plan accordingly. I also agree that showing this information up front would be helpful, as would an option to "undo." Overall, great job!Screenshot 2023-10-03 183651.png

Really cool, visually, and I like the idea of building on the gradually sinking island. It was never clear to me what the goal was, or victory condition, if there was one?

Cute idea! I found it relaxing as well.

It took me a while to figure out there is no real 'win condition' or score, just build a nice looking city with the time you have. Good idea, though I would've liked to have a preview of the buildings to understand a bit better what I'm doing. An undo button would've been nice too. Good chill game though.

Really neat concept! I like the chill music alongside the simple gameplay. Letting us look around the final result was a nice touch too.

for some reason, the game did not load properly, showed progressbar endlessly.

fivecyclops 2023-10-04 07:11

Really good game ! It could have been fun to have some kind of goal, otherwise the game looks nice, building gameplay is cool, and the audio make it very relaxing, a very nice game !

On my final run I made a sky city to try saving Atlantis, sorry for sending the worst city I made! [Capture.PNG](///raw/e66/1/z/5f83e.png)

interesting game and its concept

A nice little contemplative game. It was nice to build a city... I like the idea that nothing lasts, kind of makes you think. Thanks a lot, it's a nice entry :)

Really creative game here! I love the sinking mechanic, and the art + music/sfx were really great. I wish there was an objective or scoring system to try and work towards, as the game now feels more like a 'creative mode' type. I can see this turning into some really fun and challenging gameplay with a little tweaking

igor-kingamer 2023-10-07 05:09

Funny idea! Not exactly my kind of game -- anyway it was fun to place some buildings, look around, create little patterns.

I was writing I missed being able to see the city from closer, then it was a complete joy to discover mouse wheel just does that =)

igor-kingamer 2023-10-07 05:36

Even without putting much effort it's kinda beautiful...

What a fun, meditative game! It's aesthetic 3D historical tetris and I'm here for it. The water looked so much better than it had any right to. Great entry!

Yooooooooo that was actually super dope. Great interpretation of the theme! The music really added this ambient sense of hopeful sadness. It's really neat all your hex-tiles line up so you can actually make some varied and interesting structures with the limited landmass you have. Not really a win or fail state, but that's fine. This game is well done!

GameImage.jpg I tried downloading the game and playing it, but the screen looked like this. It must be something wrong with my computer. It looked like a cool game.

At first I was like:

"omg i don't understand what this is about.. what's the point of this game? am i missing something?"

and then I built about 3 more cities and it was a hell of a relaxer.

it would be better if I could see what I'm building before choosing it, but that's a detail. great entry

Unique idea with a solid building system. Visuals and music were nice. Having an objective would have made the game more interesting, at least for me. The city could perhaps have sunk on its own while building? Still, overall a good job.

I personally was not able to get this game to load; the progress bar locked up at about 90%, and as I'm playing from my Mac I can't use the exe.

From what I've seen in terms of pictures, however, you seem to have a solid concept with unique visuals and a faithful tie-in to the jam theme. If I'm able to get to my PC in time, I'll make sure to give the exe a shot and update my comment.

At first I didn't think that this game had enough of a goal. I thought the only real mechanics was to add buildings to prolong the life of Atlantis. Only when I read the instructions did I realize the goal of the game is not to meet some objective, but to build interesting stuff. Once I figured this out the game got a lot more interesting since I could apply creativity.

Also, the game was relaxing. Despite the rising waters there wasn't much of a rush. The music also helped here.

This was pretty awesome! All the little stacking pieces made for lots of variety and being able to build pillars to keep things above water and whatnot was satisfying even without any scoring. I built an amiptheatre on top of a pillar so it was kind of floating in midair which actually looked sweet. A really clever application of the theme and nicely executed!

That was fun)
