Having to balance what food you take is a super cool concept and made for some interesting game decisions. Also the fact that the children can block you was also a pretty good idea so that every gameplay feels a bit unique. Wish there were a few more upgrades like upgrading how many you can take at once or a way to move faster, but otherwise its pretty fun!
Wish there were more upgarades, and that holding a directional button would keep you moving instead of needing a tap for each move. Otherwise pretty neat little thing
Really nice set of features in this game, impressive to have a shop, inventory, and different outfits in a game jam game! The only thing I'd say is if the food expired on the table after a certain number of actions that'd add a bit more urgency to choosing what food to pick up and deliver
Pretty well executed concept! Wish I could kick those little gremlins away lol. My only gripe is that there's a lot of button mashing just to move, it would be great if you could also just hold it down and it moved you every .3s or something.
A very peaceful game with no challenge than to remember what is on the tables. I agree that the food should expire or something. Anyways, nice artwork :D
Nice job. I still think the way player cintrol could be better. My finger felt a bit tired when i had to make every move by clicking the keyboard. But this game mechanic is very potential.Because player had to decide what to carry each time. I believe that it could be a fantastic game with a further exploration and development.
Definitely an enjoyable game :) I think you did an excellent job with the art and music, and I loved the ability to change appearance in the mirror. The multiple food items was a nice addition. I think there was a bit of complexity missing from the main gameplay but overall I had fun playing it. Good job!
The game is good but needs seperate levels to work even better, because right now you just try to get as many slots as possible then buy the most expensive thing in the shop and just deliver that to get the most amount of money. A better way is to have levels which have certain upgrades/foods unlock and mainly used in that level. And after introducing the new foods, the levels get more complicated. And the shop/upgrade part would be between levels to have some time to think about what you want to get. Then the game would have more structure because right now it's more of a sandbox feel.
I enjoyed it, though it took me a few minutes to understand the interface. It feels like there's a lot of potential with this idea
@frib thank you, for a few hours I was working on a knife for end game, that would allow you to kill the "little gremlins", but because of the rushed way, I did the inventory/shop, I couldn't make the tables stop ordering knifes without add a lot of lag.
@wbertrand @igli I was thinking about making delivery times expire. So, if you were fast at delivering, you would gain happiness; if slow, you would lose some. And if you were very slow, the order would be canceled, and you would lose a lot of happiness.
@nastyvibrato @frib @devil-ovo I will 100% agree the button mashing can be frustrating.
