I don't think I'll ever be so confident in playing the weirdest game in a jam again! the live action scenes are great
This was insane, in the good way! I always hope to find these kind of jams, unfinished but with a lot of character. I like it for what it is!
AMAZING JUST AMAZING wow what a game
Very entertaining
This game... Is why I love LD... I can't believe how much you've done. That video was hilarious and the whole concept after that portrays so well testing game jam games :) Always something wrong stopping the game from starting.
Don't know what to say, it's just amazing
Let's get some hype going for the GotY 2021
did anyone actually include a license file in their game? :/
I felt like a real h4x0r when I figured this out, great job! The little touches like the opening video, the torrent file, and a few others (no spoilers) were really welcome. The puzzle was the perfect level of difficulty too. Great job!
Graphics are so good they look almost realistic :-D .
Awesome to find a live action game.
Wow! The opening movie was just perfect and a fun little puzzle too! Good job!
Really captured the agony that I've been through to play some game entries in the past. However, it does make me miss the days of putting games on CDs or disks and giving them to friends. Nice use of video and sound clips.
This game is wild. It's good to see that I'm not the only one that struggles to open some games here :)
You're going to win so much. You're going to get tired of winning.
Captured the essence of LD. :D
XD - You're crazy man ^^. Do me a favor and make a 10 minute short film using your acting and voice acting skills :). Your game is a good snapshot of my everyday life and of the LDJAM in general. I had to give it a high score.
Can we see you on twitch or so? You have THAT remarkable face, you know? ^^ I foresee a great career!
Good job man!
A very entertaining entry, man i really wish this was longer, and there were more live action films. The begining short movie sums up whats going through my head during a school exam.
really cool and creative game, nice work!
Nice work.
Most fun I had in and LD game. You are amazing. Tho I guess I got stuck on jibberjabber part but maybe that was the end of the game ahaha. If it wasn't, I would play it again
@ytaha It's not the end (more like beginning), look at OS Menu and Security folder, then go to System folder.
hahaha it was amazing. So much fun, the funniest and most original I've played so far
Wow! Thanks everyone. This is the part I love about LDJam, the support you get is amazing. No trolls, just love.
absolutely perfect, was a pleasure to play. pretty much a play-by-play of me trying to get a pirated diablo 1 CD to work in 2004 ngl.
Thanks for letting me play the winning title of LD49 so early! Much appreciated! 10/10 Would trade for shady disc copies again
I laughed hard to this game. Nice job!
PS: how did you get a copy of my game?
I have nothing but praise for this. Very clever and original idea. This is the reason why I love Ludum Dare. Very funny, quirky and yet reasonably challenging. The intro had me in stitches. You are very talented! Absolutely phenomenal entry. I would expect this game winning the whole Compo!
what a masterpiece. i wish there were more fmv sequences!
@peterfiftyfour I thought about hiding a blooper reel in the DONT_LOOK folder but ran out of time :D
Short but sweet, really impressive that you programed all the window interactions! Love a good metagame
Very nice game, gonna come back to this after the rating period is over to see which game you pirated...:D
Unless this game wins the Compo, in which case...
On a side note, that pirated copy seems very expensive, most likely more expensive than actually buying the game lmao
it turns out I can't delete my comment so...
Super fun, clever experience. Really unique take on the theme. The error codes provided adequate hints such that I was able to make it to the end after a few tries. Nice work :)
omg, that was hilarious! Thank you! :D
Hilarious! I love this game, this is super funny. Especially the dont look folder was cool... The concept was great. I think the audio commentary was excellent, although the music was bit repetative. But otherwise all pure fun.
Good entry! Fits theme, is funny and fun to play. Good job on details like the message when trying to use auth key without actually checking what it is on a second playthrough.
I like you man xD
Very nice game. I liked the ending :)
Existence is pain.
It was fun, but the exeuction was realy good. The puzzles where not to hard, but still satisfying to solve.
Nice intro:D
I lived through the pain of getting something to work and getting an error time after time. Thank you for that:D
Lmao, hilarious time
Hahaha, the intro was phenomenal, as are the selfies :'D While the puzzles themselves were a bit easy, I still enjoyed exploring the contents of the different folders! Thank you for this awesome Meta-Game!
Loved it, the humor was great, the unstable genius at the beginning was so fun to watch, the music is great. The puzzle was super fun to play.
I really liked the intro. Good old times xD.
This reminds me a lot of Digerati game CDs. Super funny!!
Seeing the video at the beginning I was hoping it was one of those old skool Sierra games like Phantasmagoria ;). The actual game was still very funny.
@rayredd :open_mouth: Ideas for April!!
Wow! What an epic and weird game. I love it. I was expecting to run into some key generator music but the key was supplied lol. Really fun and silly. Great unstable work!
Well, this is really funny)
Could have used more ascii-art and virus laden keygens--but the intro video sound effects were top notch! Not sure what you were aiming for difficulty-wise but it was achievable in the attention span I had for it if perhaps a bit short. Nice entry!
Nice entry!
I really enjoyed this piece of art. Reminds me a lot a games from the 90's when you didn't have a YouTube walkthrough. Really unique!
I am not sure if the end is the real end...?
Hilarious - a genius concept! :)
Smart concept, like your intro.
A very funny little game. Well done.
Very funny and a unique puzzling experience. I love the various voice acted sound effects!
sir, you got me with the money/disc exchange :D well played! The mumbling VO is awesome!
This was very funny, and i was eager to solve the puzzle :) Really liked the video intro!! Fun game, amazing for compo. Good job
One of the best things about ludum dare is when you see games that are a little bit experimental or try something new and different. This isn't the first game to have live-action cut-scenes, or to be set within a fictional O.S., but together with the off-kilter sense of humor, it's enough to make it feel quirky and interesting.
The game is just the right size, too. it's large enough to be satisfying, but small enough that it never gets boring or has parts that were obviously unfinished. I say this mostly because I always find managing the scope to be difficult in the short time-frame of the compo.
If I had to find one thing to complain about, it would be that the music doesn't quite loop properly (at least on my computer), which I found surprisingly distracting.
I like the humor in this game :). Nice work.
Very fun idea! Enjoyed experimenting with the folders. Really loved the Mr.Bean-esque dialogue!
For now... the one entry that I spend the most time on .... good choice with the music style. Big congrats on an off the normal path entry.... way of that path
:purple_heart: :dart: :frog:
So fun and original! The video is great and the design too. Congratulations!
@escapade >On a side note, that pirated copy seems very expensive, most likely more expensive than actually buying the game lmao
That's something I never even thought about ... I guess it was more because it's pre-release?
Haha! Love it! The execution of this gem is just spot on. I have never seen a full motion video in an LD game before, and the puzzle factor is just great. It really feels like something that could be real. After a while I found out what to do with that license haha, the sound system is very interesting aswell, I did not expect that the music was playing from within the OS :P
I really like how you said it's like an escape room.
I haven't really seen real life elements mixed with video games.
I liked the humor and the mood in the game. I found the game to be pretty funny.
I like the sounds effects that play when you try to run the LD winner program.
I liked your interpritation of the theme.
Overall, Great game. -WitekWitek
Excellent!
Wow! That's funny!
This game was hilarious I loved the little challenges especially cause those problems feel just as random as real pc ones do too lol, also fun to see a fellow Canadians game I noticed because of the money lol. Great job super innovative and funny. I also loved the hidden photos folder nice touch
Fun game, really got my pulse going trying to solve the pussle. Music fit the game really well too.
Воу-воу, полегче! Вот эта штука реально вставляет! Да-а, такое не приобретешь в обычном магазине... LDJAM 49 FOREVER!
Fantastic game, really cool graphics and music. The idea is original, i had a lot of fun playing with the (almost original) winner of the LD49!
Hilarious, so meta! Great job!
Very moving story, and a great message. Maybe the real Ludum Dare 49 winner was the games we played along the way
Funny and innovative!
>Maybe the real Ludum Dare 49 winner was the games we played along the way heart
@subcreation Winner!!
This game was awesome. Very original take on the theme, and the FMV is perfect.
Freaking fantastic experience. You had me at the live-action sequences, but the rest of the game proved to be really entertaining. Kudos for all the small details, like the authenticator.
Strenghts : Hilarious sequences (live-action, interactions) So many details (authenticator, …) Not impossible to complete that these games sometimes are
Congrats !
That was very funny! So original and overall a very good and unique experience! Congratz champ!
This was hilarious and as a fan of escape room style games I really appreciated this one. Great job! One note is that it was sometimes hard to find the window you wanted and bring it into focus.
I absolutely loved this. Laughed my way through it, and the ending almost had me spit my drink out.
There is too much wisdom in this game to comment further. A work of art to go down in LD history.
Had my laughs while playing this! The intro is just perfect, the idea and implementation are great. "Quests" are intuitive and satisfying to solve! Creative piece of art! XD
Super hilarious. Amazing job, really innovative, really cool. Max grade for humor and innovation! Congratulations on having this amazing idea.
Really cool idea and implementation. Enjoyed it a lot
Very cool and unique take! The intro movie was half of the fun, well done!
I loved this! Charming and weird in the best of ways. Really funny and fun to play, too. Ace jam game.
Good Game but had some troubles progressing after I started the Jibber Jabber Client. Cool Fotos you can use them for Youtube Thumbnails!
@erikengineengineer Did you start the _real_ Jibber Jabber client?
I had a really really fun time playing this. Although it had not addictive gameplay loop, and I drag and drop stuff everyday, doing it here was actually fun!
**This game had so much character!** I mean it. Other games I've played for the jam have done some things amazingly well, but none of those had so much character that I'll remember them in time for LD50. The intro cutscenes, the humor, everything. Well done!
Very fun game, loved all the little quirks. The puzzle was pretty well balanced, wans't too hard but wasn't child's play. Well done!
Love the usage of recorded videos at the start! Struggled a bit with drag-dropping the ld game file into the main folder for some reason. Overall really fun game, good job!
It's a tradition for participants to share LD themed wallpapers before the jam, and here we got the whole OS.
Good job
That was entertaining
Yea, thats why we are here! Great work, masterpiece!
That was hilarious! I litterally made me laugh out loud!
The game is not necessarily deep gameplay-wise but the puzzles were quite cool and well designed nontheless.
This intro was killer, I got mad lost in the game tho. Sadly I think your intro beats mine! GG
I laughed!
And I also saved one of your photos to use as a sticker on whatsapp.
@euler-moises >And I also saved one of your photos to use as a sticker on whatsapp
Lol. Awesome
This game is absolutely hilarious, I wish you made it in 72 hours and add more!

Haha this is such a fun game! I love the uniqueness of it, great job!
for all the kids out there.. if a dude wants to sell you the ld49 winner game full fixed packaged for windows.. you probly should get out of there quick! this was a cool game with funky videos nice job i had a fun time!
I love the theming of ludum dare and having my very own page to play around with haha. The game itself was well polished and worked well with the windows. I love how you used real life videos and images to make it feel like a more complete experience.
The puzzle was cute and I liked that there was extra content to look around through. Great job overall and thanks for submitting it for me to try \o/
Amazing Concept , really nice video . That's a very cool game . Great Job :)
Very original, very fun and absolutely hilarious!
Super unique way to make a game, loved it. Great work :D
10/10 would pirate again
Well, this game gets 5 stars in humor purely based off the opening video sequence with Simlish dialogue. I love the tounge-in-cheek feeling of this whole game, and the idea for the gameplay here is really creative while still fitting the theme well. This game is especially impressive, considering it was made for the compo. Nice work, overall.
You recreate the tedious experience to a level of fidelity that makes your game an actual tedious experience! Well done! Well annoyed!
This game is really unique, and the opening video is amazing. I wished there was more to it (unless I missed something? I played it twice and think I found most of the interactions). Regardless, what was there was very entertaining. Good job!
It was the most unusual jam game ever! And it was fun!
lol this is such a meme! I love it!
Veiny hands make the oddest games
hillarious game! loved it
What a funny game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 49 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/gL5Jq5zIm84
What a stunning, adorable, weird, charming compo lol kinda gave me some Tim & Eric vibes (which is 100% a compliment imo lol) well done homie <3
Oh god, I looked in the DONT_LOOK folder and now I'm permanently on fire! Great work, very unique and goofy.
very enjoyable and charming. Thank you for making this.
I finally managed to finish the gameplays and uploaded the game session for this game. I hope you like it and that my comments can be understood as those most interested in enabling improvements to the project.
Thank you for requesting this gameplay!

Well, I got stuck after activating the Jibber Jabber client. I don't know what to say... It's perhaps not the game for me.. sorry. It IS pretty cool that you implemented operating system tabs, however.
@ronanrory I hope you weren't using the torrented Jibber Jabber client ;) No worries! Glad you played!
Hey dude here are the winning entries so you don't have to pirate them  They're available for free!
