Voice over in the starting menu was great! Great flight controls, would've liked some backing music in game to add a little mood but overall great stuff!

pros: liked the voiceover at the beginning, the aesthetic was cool, sounds were nice and crunchy

cons: the control scheme was very difficult to wrap my head around, it was very difficult to see where asteroids were coming from since I didn't have much of a view of the space around the planet.

Fun! I liked the lighting, and I actually kinda liked the graphics

I think this game has a lot of potential and is pretty good, only if you had an optio to change the controls a little bit. I for example can't play at all with reversed flying, and I wasn't sure how to operate this semi-WSAD and semi-mouse controls, when up and down is done by mouse, but left and right is done by keyboard. I just wish I could do everything with my mouse. But I will not rate you for this, since it may be just my personal trouble with controls in general. Just a feedback so maybe you can tweak your game a little bit :)

Other than this, I really loved the graphics and the atmosphere of space. It felt truly like a fully flashed game. And the voice acting was pretty cool :)

Yea I really feel the same about cutting features in favor of a more polished and complete game. There's a lot of stuff you really want to put in, but sometimes you have to ask yourself if they're "needs" or "wants", and usually they're just wants. It hurts, but you do what you have to.

Impressive game to put together with only two people. 3d can be unwieldy to work with, especially when you're delivering to a web platform. On the subject of mouse sensitivity, I found the controls a little hard to get used to, but that's also kinda the charm of a space game isn't it? Maybe I'm biased, as I too made a game where you control a spaceship, though mine is 2d pixel art.

As for ways you could improve this game, if you continue updating the sky is probably the limit. You seem to have a lot of really good groundwork done, you could probably add a lot of cool features on top of this and make something really impressive. Overall, I really liked this game, I had a lot of fun and I think it's very ambitious for a jam game.

Really awesome game! As everyone else, the voice overs where really great. Tricky to control att first, but when You get the hang of it it really works pretty good.

Alla in all - An awesome little gem!

I definitely got some early Wing Commander vibes. I wound up getting behind the asteroids, pointed toward the planet and it was pretty fun picking them off one by one.

Controls could probably be reworked a little, was a little overly sensitive for me by default using a mouse & webgl on osx.

Fun game with really good mechanics. The controls are little bit weird. I love the voice acting.

Very impressive work. Was fun and enjoying to play. I rate it 10 snøfler out of 10 snøfler :)

Great game, Music was a bit lacking, but the voice acting made up for it. Also funny how similar our ideas ended up being

Great work!

Thanks for the mention about turning down the sensitivity, I did that and it was way easier to control. I would have also like the option to turn off invert controls.

Really great intro, got me hyped right from the start and then I blasted those asteroids, until I crashed into earth lol.

Thanks for the submission!

the controler system is so hard for me,I spent a lot time to familer with that ,do you guys make this on purpose ?,but the game mood is very nice

gglyptodon 2022-04-06 08:14

Oh man, I had some trouble protecting the weirdly scaled planet - I shall try again with a mouse instead of a trackpoint! ;) Great work though - Big fan of the starting sequence (and overall humor)!

hcs-hades 2022-04-07 05:39

I thought it controlled really well :)

Voice overs were fun to add a little personality - I think you have some funny people (person maybe?) and you should let that shine through more!

Great overall product

thats awsome

ronanrory 2022-04-07 20:46

It may not be the most original idea, but those voice overs certainly make the game a *lot* more charming. I felt the mouse controls were kind of awkward, as I felt like I was spinning around the space, having a difficult time aiming at the rocks. It also felt like I had to be a certain distance to the rock to deal damage, otherwise my shots would pass right through it.

Despite those problems, I'd say this entry is still pretty good. I seem to find 3D entries more attractive in general; probably because of the sheer *immersion.* Great job from the both of you!

I love how the voice over calls it the "weirdly scaled planet" ha! There's a surprising amount of humor in this game, and it's done wonderfully! The voice acting is fantastic. Great work.

daniel-username 2022-04-09 20:26

Cool game! Fits well with the theme. Tightening up the controls would probably go a long way in making it even better!

arachnid56 2022-04-14 16:09

Great submission! Loved all the effort put into the menu screen and visual effects. Really immersive game although the controls felt kinda awkward for me so limited the fun. I still think this is a great game, so well done!

I haven't flown a space ship in around a year, so this was refreshing. And I love the font you picked.
