Great graphics and audio with awesome responsiveness!

Great graphics and audio with awesome responsiveness!
Great art style and intuitive controls!
Overall this was pretty fun. I like the mood of the music!
Was surprised to enjoy a Jenga game so much - but the calming music and clean graphics were really nice! I also like that you have to nudge blocks to push them out instead of pulling them like normal. I did find that many of the blocks on the top half of the tower could be pushed with a well-placed nudge and fly out of the tower super fast - might want to look into that. Good job!
Its surprisingly difficult because physics engine. The graphics and audio were quite nice. It did not take long to figure out how to play. Nice work with the game and good luck in judging.
Played a few rounds together with friends taking turns. Just as much fun as real jenga!
simple and effective, good music too!
Really nice polished experience. I thought it was a great fit to the theme and everything was well executed. Great job!
Classic game fits theme well, nicely implemented with a polished feel
really satisfying! The music, the graphics, the mechanics created really nice experience!
Relaxing :)
I had a lot of fun with this. Maybe it's just because I never got to play with these kinds of blocks when I was little but making a tower with them and seeing how much you can knock off without making it fall down was pretty fun. It would be really cool if there was a display that showed how many blocks had been knocked off so far. It could be like a kind of high-score!
Such a calm and relaxing experience!
Really adore this, it's so calming to play along with the polished graphics and animations. Well done!
Nice relaxing game, not much to say. I don't necessarily agree with the other comment about the responsiveness but whatever.
Just for you to know, I've got a visual glitch screen0.png ;)
@wafflesys assume this is a Linux WebGL only issue, tested the Linux Standalone version and it was fine. I've just removed Linux completely
@kroporo Yes it is WebGL in latest Firefox on Linux. I tested the Linux desktop version and it works just fine
Even if its just jenga, it's still super fun game and the control/physics works perfectly. The first startup of webGL was super laggy (perf-wise), but after that, it was smooth as butter. GJ!
A great, calming experience. Really impressed by the work here.
Simple, yet greatly executed concept. Loved the attention to details and the emphasis on the whole atmosphere.
Im a fan of this game, I like the art, art is a big thing in games for me. Mechanics also are pretty good, overall pretty good!
As good as it is simple! exelent attention to detail of game feel and behavior! super fun, saved to play to relax when stressed :)
Great art, nice and responsive.
Nice art style.
Nice art and sounds.
Some major lag during the start and end of a round. Super fun take on the classic
This game is the essence of what a jam game dreams to be, short and sweet. It is worth downloading and playing **many many** times!
Really cool idea. This game is about experience and the art and sound are satisfying.
Every bit of this has a ton of care and attention put to it. From the full-screen death effect, to the starting little stacking sequence. The sounds are super well done and I commend you on your work :D The only additions I would consider would be: Multiplayer(huge cost, I know), and different stacking arrangements other than a tower
good old Jenga, I love this one. The sound when losing is super))
Very satisfying! Especially I like the sound and sensation when pulling out pieces of wood.
That was a really polished game. Very soothing and satisfying to play! Keep up the good work!! Thought about bringing this to mobile? I can imagine to play this with friends vs each other on a phone
A classic. Super satisfying. Great job! Just a thought: would appreciate a score screen or maybe a versus mode (local or even better, online). Would considerably prolong play time. :)
I'm really surprised how well this digital version of Jenga works. It must have taken a lot of work to correctly tweak all the physical parameters of the blocks to get such natural result.
Very interesting game! It reminds me of the time when I party with my friends lol
Those sounds are ASMR to my hears. Really fun and chill game !
Nice game, physics worked quite well!
Jenga!
I thought about doing this game but I didn't know how to. You got the execution right!
Simple idea, executed brilliantly! Love the art style
YES! Jenga for lazy people :D
The simple presentations works wonders for this game, and the gameplay feels very natural!
Solid game, the simple visuals are appealing as well.
Classic game that perfectly fits the theme. I really liked the graphic style and the mood. Good responsiveness of the command. A game cleverly produced, good job
Fantastic poke 'em up! Very chill atmosphere and a lot of fun, I really liked playing.
Great rendition of a classic. Very soothing and I like the slow mo zoom in on the falling tower. The only thing that I wished for was a way to make the camera look directly at the tower head on, so that it would be easy to finish poking out some of the middle pieces. Other than that though I really enjoyed it!
you managed to accurately recreate Jenga, and did an excellent job of it too!
The little block clinking noises when the tower is built are....mmmmmmmmmm...:) so good
Cool jenga. Works so gooooood.
The game is a lot of fun and fits the theme perfectly. The design of the pieces is great and the sounds are very successful. Good job!
I love playing jenga. This digital version really got the feeling. Good job
It fit perfectly the theme ! Nice work !
Why is this so satisfying?!
Great implementation of a digital version of jenga! Congrats! It is actually very satisfying to play!
Simple concept with nice implementation, overall style is really nice
Very accurate feeling of original jenga, how did you make so stable physics? Is it physx engine with continuous collisions? Oh and shaders are cool too, looks pretty and complete
I like the visual looking style.
This game is very calming if you ignore the amounts of times I hit my table in real life because I could not pull out a block haha. Really good experience! I wish the tower build up in the beginning was skippable after the first time, since it stops me from playing the game a lot more, but maybe I missed something there!
Башенка оказалась неустойчивой. Надо было нанимать хороших рабочих, а не дешевых.
Like the graphics. Do not like watching each replay how the tower is being built :)
The game has very nice graphics. And the Jenga idea is pretty logical for the jam theme. I was pleased with the different types of pinching of the detail inside the pyramid.
@cax This is indeed just PhysX! We thought about doing a custom physics job, but that would have been well outside the scope for a GameJam. The physics used to be a lot nicer as well, but WebGL unfortunately didn't play nice with them.
I'm surprised that a lot of people didn't think about Jenga as an idea for this game-it seems like most people jumped on a game with roots in Tetris (I'm guilty of this). This is a very well-done recreation of the old table block game. The graphics and music are simple, but sound nice and don't get in the way of the main gameplay. I'm surprised this was done with Unity and PhysX, as from my experience, physics in Unity tend to be a bit wonky. However, the physics work really nicely here. There isn't too much for me to say here, honestly. This is just a really good recreation of Jenga. Nice work.
Very cool! Great sound and visuals.
Congratulations for the game, it's really accurate, really working with physics is a big challenge and you concluded it with success, if you can give feedback on my game I would be grateful, a big hug.
I think the idea was to be a frustrating/tense game, but for me was really chill :joy: . The game is great and very well polished!
Great entry! Wish the game would keep a score / highscore of number of blocks removed though.
As others have said, the presentation of this is really what sells it. The intro is super stylish and gives off that sense that you knew while making it that it was a slick intro that looked and sounded great; and you were right! lol
Played a few rounds, only started incorporating the table pound on my last round because I forgot about it because I only glanced at the controls once on the itch page; maybe briefly showing the controls as the tower is assembled in the intro would be a good choice.
Most importantly, as others have brought up as well, there should definitely be a count of how many blocks we've successfully taken out, and even a high score tracker that displays at the restart screen. You already want to keep playing with how good the physics are and the mood is, but even though it's cliché, I know I would have stayed for more rounds if there was a high-score of mine to keep trying to beat.
Great job!
Awesome job for two Development, the Physic how you are did is very nice done :-)
An interesting mix of relaxation when playing and frustration when brick hits the ground.
One thought on improvement - the introduction when the tower is being built seemed a bit too long for my taste. When I failed to decompose the tower I instantly wished to go for another try, but instead had to wait quite a lot for the next tower to be built. I would skip the building and present the new scene with an already built tower.
Nice work! I like your sounds and graphic.
A little slow to start up, but a perfectly solid and juicy Jenga adaptation. Personally, I think the lack of a score almost helps this game: it gives it a bit more of a relaxed vibe compared to trying to push your high score every time.
I love the clean style! Like some game apple arcade would include!
Surprisingly, you can knock on the table, advanced skills in the real block tower. Very good game
