Junta! Police State 1981 by rjhelms 2021-10-14T17:45:13Z

Interesting take on GTA formula. The little backstory gives a lot to the game. However, the main and the only drawback was the driving mechanics. It seemed that the axis on which the car is turning around is not on the centre of the object but on the back (on the water cannon). That made the front of the vehicle a bit hard to steer. Otherwise an enjoyable retro experience!

A very enjoyable and relaxing experience! Loved the ability to throw away unwanted bricks.

However later in the game it became a bit frustrating to throw away ten bricks to get the one you need. Maybe if the purpose is relaxed building the player could freely choose what kind of brick he/she wants to take?

The mechanics of space shifting makes some interesting possibilities for the player to interact with the enemy. Also the splitting and joining of the enemy is very smooth and quite juicy!

However, while playing I really wished for the ability to shift the land on my own command instead of being able to simply attack. It would create a totally different kind of challenge and move beyond simple hacking and slashing. Also a dash or run could be useful features considering that the enemy in the game is moving faster than the player.

Nice infinite shipper! "Old map" graphics are well adapted to the theme of the game. Few things to think about: - In order to sustain a consistent look I think that the ship and collectibles could also be hand drawn or with a cell shader. Just more corresponding to etched art used everywhere else. - The elements the player collect could also be pirate or "high seas" themed like golden coins or bottles of rum. Currently the cubes or cylinders don't have clear associations to the theme. - Also the skull shaped mouse cursor is beautiful, yet seems to be very important during play time and falsely indicates that the player has to somehow interact with it in the game.

unstable nuclear decay by MageDev 2021-10-06T21:22:49Z

Interesting take on scientific topic!

A few thoughts:

At the start I somehow had a sensation that I was controlling the nucleus cube and not the ship. Maybe the ship model could have some more distinct features like wings which could tilt sideways indicating when the player moves?

Topple Tower by Kroporo 2021-10-13T22:05:33Z

An interesting mix of relaxation when playing and frustration when brick hits the ground.

One thought on improvement - the introduction when the tower is being built seemed a bit too long for my taste. When I failed to decompose the tower I instantly wished to go for another try, but instead had to wait quite a lot for the next tower to be built. I would skip the building and present the new scene with an already built tower.

A very refreshing game covering psychological problems! It felt incredibly relevant. Once in a while we all feel like Greg. Hopefully there are some good "players" around when we do.

Nukular by Angrybeard 2021-10-17T22:38:36Z

Its interesting to see the nuclear theme mixed with such a relaxed atmosphere :) It seems that the radioactive fallout despite the players effort is already falling :0

What an amazing Soviet technology! Nikita Khrushchev would be proud! :)

PS. The west needs to get these plans ASAP to solve the looming housing crisis...

UNSTABLE GROUNDS by Voodoo51 2021-10-17T22:17:21Z

Great game with a really enjoyable loop! It took me some tries to win as the corruption is quite fast, but at the end I got the right amount of cannons to repel it. Games can be polished to no end but here is a few suggestions: - Highlighting elements which the player will select. Often I selected the wrong cube. - Showcasing which tiles will be "eaten" by corruption next. And maybe even a small timer. It is not fun to not know where the enemy will strike next. - There is no need for zoom. In such a strategy game its best to see as much as possible. The game starts with camera zoomed in and it takes a few precious seconds to zoom out (the corruption is coming!). - Showcasing which tiles are affected by the cannons. I had many cannons yet the corruption was always faster. I was not sure if the cannons were hitting just the nearby tiles. Also without animation it was unclear if they were hitting anything at all.

All in all, I was really hooked for some time as I was trying to launch that rocket! :)
