Very nice, I love Super Meatboy-like replays :D

Very nice, I love Super Meatboy-like replays :D
It look easy until I found that there the deadly pools of lava boiling underground :D. Anyway, the concept of size changing is quite cool, the black grid is in my opinion a bit distracting.
The theme and the universe you came up with are quite impressive. I don't have much experience with visual novels, so it's hard for me to judge how original this idea is, but I find it really clever and neat to place the protagonist in front of the screen, it resembles games with third person perspective. I think it really adds a bit of depth.
However, the looping sound drives me crazy, please, consider adding a way to turn it off.
I'm not sure if this is the right idea, but maybe a little bit more responsive controls would make it better? Right now movements feels a little bit too clunky.
Yay, I have won! :)
Anyway, there are some bugs with collisions and jumping really doesn't feel right. I liked the idea of power-ups and timed levels.
Oh, I love cellular automata, kudos for very fun, and quite demanding game :)
It's generally fun, but definitely too short, it would be great if there were more paintings. I really liked the music.
I've always knew there is something evil in the geometry.
Just as others said, you have some pretty solid base for a good game; the classic Zelda-esque hack & slash mechanics is always fun.
It's a nice compilation of some classic game mechanics, transitions between stages are really cool. I found two things to be quite annoying: the first one is the dying sound, the second is performance, which was quite poor despite the minimalistic graphics, the game was especially laggy in breakout/arkanoid mode (I was playing in Firefox 21 stable).
I loved the first part, I think it was truly impressive.
The game is difficult, but elegant visuals stir up curiosity and make "going deeper" to the end really worth the effort.
You have some really nice valves :D. The game is quite fun, teleporting between layers brings lots of depth, and combination of mostly monochromatic graphics with ambient sounds creates convincing mood of postapocalyptic world.
I would love to play a more polished version.
It's super fun, my only wish would be some kind of timer-less mode for noobs like me :D
Well it's surely not the most innovative game out there, although I must admit I've spent quite some time playing, and enjoyed it, it's fun.
Thank you very much for kind words and playing theseus.f.
It's my first LD entry; right now after reading all your comments and playing your games, participating in LD feels like one of the best decisions ever.
fr_automatik, thanks for pointing out the issues, I fixed them and added a README file so hopefully there would be less problems with compiling theseus in the future. Actually I'm really ashamed that I published sources in such a state, the game was completely developed on GNU/Linux and only compiled on Windows just before sending.
Hard and fun.
I really hoped islands are destructible :(
Are you planning to make it more game-like?
Superb graphics and sounds, really, really neatly done.
There should be also a voice saying "BACKGROUND MUSIC, BACKGROUND MUSIC, BACKGROUND MUSIC, ..." as the background music :D
The aesthetics are superb, moves of the ship are really smooth and really nicely done. However, I wish your little universe was a little bit more diverse, but... yeah, well minimalism is the theme after all :)
This is so unbelievably simple and good, great job.
I enjoyed it. I guess it's a proof of how little you actually need to create an immersive story.
It is really, really fun to play, well at least it was until I came up with idea of constantly rotating the torch around, effectively transforming it into a radar (:D), then it became a little bit too easy. I would gladly play a more full-featured version with more updates available.
The game is impressive. I love this romantic motif of being lonely and surrounded by the technology (it reminds me works of Stanislaw Lem [0]). Graphics and sounds are obviously great, they fit perfectly into your story (I really liked the walking animation).

I hope the princess is not in another castle, because getting into this one will cost me a bit of effort :D
I'd like to write something nice, but actually I'm busy playing your game...
1 hour later:
I've played a couple of LD games today and yesterday and I must admit that so far this one was the most playable and addictive game I've seen.
I liked the sandbox feeling of the game, I love the way in which you can go around growing your population of food-colored fishes just to loose it, so you can build it up again. It sounds silly, but is extremely fun and somehow rewarding, I have no idea why.
Any chance to hear your ideas for further development?
Absolute minimalism :D
Wow, the combination of fun and simplicity of this game is insanely impressive. The core fun feeling seems to come from discovering game's rules, and capabilities of each bought element. I would love to have a more complete version on my phone/tablet.
Background music is quite nice; the gameplay is really simple (and obviously far form being innovative), but yet fun and somehow addictive.
Really loved this one, quite fun and engaging.
Very cool puzzle game, I really like the wall/floor destruction mechanic. That said my biggest problem was interpreting the graphics. The crumbling floor doesn't really read as a floor to me, the same goes for the holes in the floor. I read the description and it helped, but still it was hard to interpret what I see on the screen correctly. I feel that with only a little bit more detailed graphics this would be a really great game. Anyway, kudos for designing such nice and tight puzzler! (Oh, also a restart button would be nice!)
SPOILER WARNING: tip for all the people stuck on the second level: you need to shoot through the flag.
Very cool game, I really like the elemental interactions between smiles. All puzzles were quite fun and novel, great job!
I really liked the rectangle aiming part of the fishing but damn, these arrows weren't easy! :fish:
Such a nice and relaxing experience, thanks for making it ;)
Great game! I really liked the idea of a sneaking game without actual killing :D
This is such a great concept, I really loved it. The art is great. I had some problems with controls though. It would be great to have arrow keys as an alternative to QSZD as they have more consistent layout around the world.
The music is awesome and the art is really fun and cute! I died a whole lot but I enjoyed it :D
Woah, such a cool and novel idea!
Cool graphics and adequate sounds :) The game is surprisingly addictive.
I was very surprised that player didn't move with the platform, it feels a little undercooked. Although this is what made the second level challenging ;)
Super pretty graphics. The gameplay is fun, however I found the arrows at the sides confusing, I wasn't sure which way they are pointing due to the angle.
Hah, that's one really unstable kingdom. Good job, it fits the theme very well and is fun to play!
Loved it! It's not only cute but super fun (and stressful :D)
I'm really surprised how well this digital version of Jenga works. It must have taken a lot of work to correctly tweak all the physical parameters of the blocks to get such natural result.
The idea is really cute! I wish the game was a bit faster - gathering resources takes quite a lot of time and the lava is barely a threat with how slowly it moved :)
I love the characters and the music is just perfect for the game! I hope to play it again one day :)
Very cool and difficult game. Superb background music. The biggest challenge for me was the control scheme. I kept mixing up Q/W and E/D all the time.
I love how the background and music create dream-like atmosphere. The core mechanic is quite fun and I loved looking at the collapsing tower. Good job :)
Oh yes, the assassination moment was so nice.
I really like the idea. However the game was very confusing to play at first. It took me some time to realize I have to press E to leave the initial screen ;)
Love the music! I really liked it - the only thing that I wish was there was a more distinct sound for when I was hit by an enemy/lost health - I didn't even notice the fire hurting me at first... :D
Movement -- especially jumping -- is working well and is fun, the abilities are a little bit hard to use (clicking with teleport only displayed a ray and nothing else really happened). The randomized spawn point of the Essence gave some replayability :)
@tulkas I've played the updated version and indeed it's much better now. I'm not sure what exactly changed, but inputs feel much snappier now, thanks for fixing it!
Oh god, the twist was so excellent. One of the few games where I really didn't see it coming and had so much fun discovering what's going on. Kudos for absolutely wonderful experience! But honestly, I didn't imagine I could get so excited about penguins on ice puzzler.
Hah, great idea... we actually did something very similar for this jam too :) Anyway, it's a well made game, kudos for making it.
Very cool concept! I'm not exactly sure why bees seem to eat the grass but otherwise it's fun and pretty engaging :)
@d3w I know, I immediately thought they would pollinate them and make more grass :) Anyway, kudos and I hope to play the finished version someday! :)
I love that the cakes that missed table do not disappear and after a couple of round create a lovely mess around the ever-spawning table :)
A bit confusing since stacks don't count as piles but I like it! Good luck with your next projects :)
Cute graphics and a cool idea! The sound of four-five slimes getting angry together gave me so much anxiety though, lol
Wonderful little puzzle, cannot wait for more levels!
@memoryfloater Thanks! Speaking about detailed graphics, we were lucky that we could just use a bunch of photos and really simple geometry :) We actually had a prototype with UP-arrow working, but we had a problem with balancing that.
@butterfly Yeah, we were thinking about this but ultimately didn't manage to implement it.
@very-dark-lord no rotation, we can't allow somebody to have ceiling as a floor or doors placed vertically ;)
@ericfreeman thank you for playing! Yup, the best strategy seems to be to start with a solid wide foundation. Also thanks for checking out Cathedral ;)
@flying-basement-studio Thanks for kind words and playing! The start is actually mapped to space, but unfortunately the game doesn’t inform about that ;) To be honest we would love to have restart (R key btw) go straight back to the game again, but since we did the start screen in literal last minutes of the jam, it works as it works ;)
It's a super fun and pretty game, great job!
I really like the idea. The crowd is a bit unruly and hard to control but I guess that just adds another layer of realism ;) Overall I had quite some fun coming up with the strategy to attack Dome.
