LD45 — Start with nothing

Seven Dwarves Brawl by pfeyffer 2019-10-06T22:53:23Z

Really liked the card game idea for this theme and it looks really slick.

Saga of Bupkis by jelch 2019-10-08T19:55:33Z

Took me a while to figure out how to play it. Felt quite a lot like fighting barbarians at the beginning of Civilization games!

Tower Defense :Start with nothing by pengda 2019-10-08T19:39:26Z

I get a 404 page - can you fix that?

From Nothing To Hero by framg 2019-10-08T19:26:58Z

This is a pretty cool concept well executed. The bugs seemed pretty dumb but also quite creepy with the noises. The design and artwork seems really well put together.

Also it did seem to be working fine in Chrome...

Cubehead by BntRpnw 2019-10-08T19:45:42Z

Even with the tool tips I struggled with the keys here, they're not intuitive. Maybe hints again when you're failing bits repeatedly near the beginning would make it quicker to learn? It looks nice too, but damn it's hard and the lack of any sound makes it seem quite detached as a game play experience.

Spooktober Survival by LeBossMax2 2019-10-08T19:37:53Z

Great effort and a cool theme choice has clearly come together for a totally playable game. And it's fun to play too! My main comment comes from the frustration I had with the way the collisions with the world, it felt really awkward. Seemed like I was in a box that was much larger than I actually looked, which repeated got me stuck in places. Given that running and shooting seems to be the main thing you do that was a little frustrating. Some more variety of weapons (I only ever got improvements to the bones) would have mixed things up a bit more.

Tightrope Gauntlet by Jonno 2019-10-09T21:24:18Z

Totally agree with the other comments about a way of skipping the game over scene. I spent more time staring at that than playing at all for quite a while at the beginning. I like the style and the idea, fun little game and well put together for the compo.

Nothing but climbing by CoOz 2019-10-06T22:51:35Z

The dude looks naked, which wasn't what I expected from the title. Well executed.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

4Loops by Decipator 2020-10-06T09:21:20Z

Seems like there ought to be some more hints as to what is actually interactive in a room - I ended up spamming left click a lot.

Orbit by nopogo 2020-10-06T08:48:22Z

Screenshots look cool, but when I click start it quits to desktop - are there any logs around that would help diagnose?

Crypt Loop by Los 2020-10-05T23:03:47Z

Host seems to be down

Training Loop by DomNomNom 2020-10-07T20:17:43Z

I'm loving the totally unique take on the theme here - experimental gameplay ideas is one of the coolest things I've seen come out of these jams.

ludum factorum by AMastryukov 2020-10-06T09:00:07Z

Loved it, the theme and mechanisms worked well, the music really emphasised the time limits nicely

Stuck in a While Loop by RetrogradeMarmalade 2020-10-05T22:59:42Z

Zach Barth has a lot to answer for. Really liked the way the objectives make you learn the game slowly and effectively rather than just throwing you in at the deep-end. Help and guides are well written.

Loopy Hoop by Ratrat44 2020-10-05T23:07:15Z

Cute idea nicely implemented. Music fits well and it's pretty unique. I got totally screwed over by the laser beam the first time it apeared.

Late To Work: Escape the Mundane by ZachZ 2020-10-06T08:49:29Z

I liked the idea, it seemed surprisingly easy - I got a "you win" screen before I'd even figured out what I was really doing by mashing w and runing around like a loon!

Kessler by Vanea 2020-10-05T22:23:10Z

It's like frogger, but fresh, fits the theme well and is very hard!

Time Prison by ToC 2020-10-05T22:33:47Z

This is really slickly put together

Sketchy 'lectrics by Alan123 2020-10-06T07:18:38Z

@wormjuice and @trypants we did plan to make the AI more error prone and like a real player, but never quite got around to that one before we ran out of time.

while(sushi); by LucaVazz 2020-10-05T23:26:16Z

Very much like overcooked, but fun and well executed still. The tutorial mode worked really nicely for explaining how to go about things too.

Convolooption by potatopancakes 2020-10-06T11:02:05Z

IMHO this is probably the best loop game idea I've seen so far!

ray caster racing js by awesomearcade365 2020-10-05T22:54:33Z

For a first game this is a pretty awesome effort. The challenge in taking that to the next level is to find ways to make it more immersive and feel more like a game instead of a tech demo.

TrainLoop by Malle 2020-10-05T22:46:32Z

This is the kinda puzzle game I'd actually buy!

Robo Arena by Dystoth 2020-10-05T22:51:44Z

Could definitely use some improved instructions or a bit more of a lead-in

LD49 — Unstable

TetraTopple by Criobite 2021-10-06T20:25:23Z

Nice and simple. Music works really well. I think it would have benefited from a more obvious aim than just "be tall" perhaps? Something like packing blocks wide, or using fewest blocks to reach a height?

Babel by Gaming Night 2021-10-09T13:56:31Z

This is the most unstable game we've played yet.

Office Novice by HermesEs 2021-10-09T14:06:51Z

Well... that puts my efforts at game dev/design to shame

Topple Tower by Kroporo 2021-10-04T20:03:34Z

Classic game fits theme well, nicely implemented with a polished feel

Deathrail by Hotowlgirls 2021-10-09T13:51:28Z

Cool soundtrack, nice theme - feels like frogger but on hard mode!

PhysOS by Beep Boop 2021-10-04T20:50:19Z

I like it - reminiscent of "papers please" there've been a few games along these lines at recent jams that have all been done very well. Physics on the organisation is clearly new though and a fun mechanic. It took me quite a while to twig that I could put the empty folders in the recycle bin when I was done with them and keep the clutter low. Humours file names too.

Rockunsteady by chingle 2021-10-06T20:29:22Z

I like this - it's the kind of game I'd make if I were better at making fun mechanics. Music is cool and retro feel works nicely. Shame I suck at it though!

We're Going Nuclear! by Ryan Winstead 2021-10-04T21:50:58Z

Nailed it on the theme. Either I suck or it's quite hard though. Really well made for a Jam game, nice polished feel.

Cranky Robot by SkallyWags 2021-10-09T14:47:00Z

The level design really builds up nicely here
