Cool game, love the vibe. Some indication that certain objects are interactable would be neat. Was hard to see that doors were doors at times when not pointing at them. Overal, good job!

squidzilla 2020-10-06 07:57

Ok, this is the best one I've played today :D Using a cucumber to fix a reactor... cracked me up! I got to be a fireman in space. Seriously though, amazing finish, tons of assets made in such a short time. The time constraint and controls gave me the feeling like I was playing descent (1994) again. Gonna play this again now, gotta find that reactor!

yellowsalamander 2020-10-06 07:58

The game has incredible depth for something done in just a weekend! However it wasn't very polished: I could see some interactable objects threw walls as they turned completely white. There were some bugs, but nothing major.

The map felt super confusing to navigate so good job on the theme! I found myself in the reactor room far too much! The atmosphere was very thick. Good stuff!

julius-vander-arend 2020-10-06 07:58

You really nailed the feeling of moving around in zero G. that alongside the excellent audio work (that *bumping into something* noise is fantastic) and the really pretty particle effects and lighting make this have quite an immersive atmosphere. Well done!

netmute 2020-10-06 08:04

I love space games! And the screenshots for this look spectacular. Please make a Mac version? 🥺

givit-game-studios 2020-10-06 08:05

A very interesting concept. Just a bit more player feedback would have been nice. One thing though. I am running to screens and the game cursor is not locked so when my cursor is on the other screen I can't interact with the doors. I love the the art style. Well done.

kaisenthegreatone 2020-10-06 08:05

Great Game. Sadly my character didn't make it. The atmopshere was spot on. Strangely a part of the ship's corridor was glowing white and visible through the walls. But nevertheless a great game :D

arthur-mairs 2020-10-06 08:09

The feeling of this game is great! also the character controller is feeling satisfying, i spent a loop just drifting around corners in zero-g. Nice work!

rschoellgen 2020-10-06 08:11

You guys did great with atmosphere. I felt urgency as I explored and looked for the different parts. I was able to get the ignition key and power the ship, but I could not escape. Maybe I missed something. Anyway, great work!

nopogo 2020-10-06 08:13

Thank you all for the great feedback :) we are aware with some light map issues and the white render bug (it is caused by the script that shows outlines around things) I will try to get a mac build @netmute

wiskey 2020-10-06 08:16

10/10 got stuck in a space fridge. No seriously, really nice atmosphere and erie music, sets up the mood pretty good. controls in zero gravity are nice, and i got to see some rick dolls floating around.

Only down side was when i restored the gravity, the controls went a bit insane,

Overall, pretty solid experience, with some polish on the graphics, it could be a gem! Well done.

cookienoir 2020-10-06 08:17

Pretty cool idea. Сollisions with walls look quite natural, ambient sounds are great. Getting full gravity with gyroscopes seemed very strange. E.g. I didn't find ignition keys. How would I go back to find them with active gravity? Stuck with some visual glitches. Couldn't see any items behind huge white cubes, rendered in front of everything.

mrredbeard 2020-10-06 08:20

I loved the slow paced moving because of the zero-g! I would have liked some form of indication of things that can be interacted with tho.

humanisred 2020-10-06 08:37

This game looks very cool! But I cant play it unfortunately I use Mac Os

alan123 2020-10-06 08:48

Screenshots look cool, but when I click start it quits to desktop - are there any logs around that would help diagnose?

rgilpt 2020-10-06 09:29

hi @rujum and all :) Great game :) love the spacecraft ... well done!

aquanim 2020-10-06 09:38

The zero-G controls and attention to detail with the sounds and various paraphernalia floating around the ship took what could have been a kind of boring item collection game and made it interesting and engaging... and a little bit spooky, too. *Why* is the ship un-powered and on a collision course with an asteroid?

keithswanger 2020-10-06 10:20

The atmosphere, wow. You guys nailed it. I didn't quite know what to do after I did all the tasks, but I had a blast doing it! Really nice work!

hom-bre 2020-10-06 10:24

Very cool atmosphere. We had similar ideas for this jam. Although this game is way more polished, impressed that you had time to do all of this! I felt a little lost, and it was difficult to find the useful objects, everything I looked at required me to have something else.

tricky-fat-cat 2020-10-06 10:39

I love the atmosphere in the game and gameplay. Give it better assets and it can be a really big game! Well done.

nopogo 2020-10-06 12:03

there was a bug where the game didn't go to victory if you activated gravity last, that has been fixed now. I've also added OSX and Linux builds but those I can't test myself. Thank you all for your feedback and kind words!

johndaivisse 2020-10-06 12:26

Awesome game ! This is very fun to play !

simpathey 2020-10-06 16:05

Wow this game was really fun to play and to explore. I think it was essential that you taught me the controls in the tutorial and I was very grateful for that. I liked the game so much it is hard to say what I would want to see if this became a full game beyond the jam. Maybe the only thing is more of an indication on doors. My first playthrough I lost because I didn't realize there were doors I hadn't opened because they blend in. But my goodness I am so amazed this was done for a jam!

celes 2020-10-06 16:23

It's laggy for me most likely because of my laptop (I tend to always have this issue with big games or HD/HQ games). Anyhow, first-person games aren't really my thing, but this was pretty trippy. Definitely felt like being in a loop. The music was calming and it fit the atmosphere. The graphics are nice too, despite my laptop not being able to handle them. The controls were a bit confusing for me. I couldn't really do much since my laptop couldn't handle your game as well. Nice job overall :)

roikku 2020-10-07 17:47

Very nice atmosphere and you can feel the gravity, or the lack of it. :)

kaldrin 2020-10-07 18:18

I really enjoyed playing it. The feeling of moving in zero G is nailed, I loved how ouur character moves, how the objects react when we collide, and the overall sound design really brings it to life, I especially liked the slight depth of field and global lighting mood, it looks very good, great ambiance.

However I can't quite pinpoint where the theme is in this game, but I didn't lost, I managed to save the ship, so maybe that's why.

Also I find it weird to use CTRL to go down, I'd have use shift, much closer, maybe it's just because I'm more used to it in Minecraft to go down in creative mode, also I never used shift in you game.

Overall, great sound design, great mood and lighting, very decent graphics for a jam, super good controls (though when you turn on gravity, they're just correct there I think), ok humor, nice innovation for the 0 G, I had fun, but the theme isn't there for me ^^;

indigo 2020-10-08 19:28

I disagree with the other commenters on the theme: I find this game very on-point with the theme, actually. Being on collision course with an asteroid while in orbit certainly is being "stuck in a loop", namely in orbit (as the game's name hints at).

Cool game in general. I would have wished for some polish for the ending, it was somewhat unrewarding. Amazing atmosphere though!

ltyrosine 2020-10-09 22:11

I also get the theme usage, stuck in the orbit loop, for me it's a fair usage.

Amazing graphics, it's evident the amount of effort on it. With the nice music, the mood you guys managed to deliver in this entry is deep.

Maybe too much controls? It's really rare that I get motion sickness playing a game, but this one I did, mildly 😁. The problem is not the goings and rolls but the rate of movement, more precisely, the difference on what brain expect (from its experience in real world) with the movement in your game. It starts too fast and stops too abrupt. But that could be just me.

Fun and nice puzzles.

Overall a top entry here. Good job!

I like the idea of being stuck in an orbit. Actually had a similar idea at first (but with completely different implementation).

Graphics and audio are on point. Game-feel was great, I really felt like floating around in space. Controls were a bit cumbersome since I have an AZERTY keyboard (and forgot to switch it to QWERTY), but it was really fluid still. Puzzles were good enough for a jam project, simply moving around and picking up cucumbers felt good.

If I had to nitpick though, restarting the artificial gravity isn't very exciting for the player since the fun factor lies in the zero-G controls. Of course it is very coherent with the pitch and setting, but perhaps a tiny bit of ludonarrative dissonance would've actually helped here.

Great project overall ! Really felt good to play.
