LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Orbit by nopogo 2020-10-06T07:58:45Z

The game has incredible depth for something done in just a weekend! However it wasn't very polished: I could see some interactable objects threw walls as they turned completely white. There were some bugs, but nothing major.

The map felt super confusing to navigate so good job on the theme! I found myself in the reactor room far too much! The atmosphere was very thick. Good stuff!

Liftman by gamechoy 2020-10-10T15:53:03Z

I though the artstyle was weird at the start, but quickly fell in love with it! I love that every character has a distinct font: the little details like that make it very polished!

That jumpscare though >:(((

Aristotel: The Cycle of Energy by victorcrafty 2020-10-11T08:57:28Z

Cool game! I like the idea of a dynamic tower defense.

ME! vs the unrelenting alien invasion by Human Writes Code 2020-10-06T07:51:07Z

The game looks really cool and the gameplay is unique and interesting! Overall a cool top-down shooter :3

Anybody there? by fumybulb 2020-10-10T16:07:32Z

I love the Portal 2 like music! The game plays smoothly, I didn't encounter any bugs! When I saw the credits I went 'That really was it?' but then I saw level 2 and how it started getting tougher and a huge grin appeared on my face! Really creative use of the theme! Good job!

RobAuto by Hidjy 2020-10-10T15:46:52Z

Great puzzle game, albeit short.

The graphics were nice and consistent, the background music filling, the animations smooth. I just love how you put that little lazer sensor to forshadow it: I love me and invisible tutorial!

This game has great potential for a confusing map and a truckfull of puzzle features: good job!

while (true) by Barrier 2020-10-13T08:31:42Z

It took me a while lol

Guntasy by bigwhiteshogun 2020-10-12T07:01:20Z

Good game, but very unbalanced: some guns kick ass, some feel like peashooters, some enemies are easy, some feel like boss fights. Pixel art is consistent. Good job!

MONKEY BUSINESS by QuadApe 2020-10-07T08:32:12Z

Great infinite runner! Very polished with nice audio. The background music was very tense and helped me concentrate better. The wall jumping can use some work in my opinion and the dive move was very situational. It became boring to run on the same map after 10 on so runs. Perhaps some moving walls and timed jumps could have made it more fun, but hey, it's a game jam!

Overall, great stuff! My record is 19.63!

The Loopyrinth by IvanTigan 2020-10-07T08:47:40Z

Great stuff! Thats a truly chaotic puzzle game, having to search for the right cells in a path was frustrating and fun. Just when I said "I'm getting tired of this teleport animation", the powerup appeared! Overall fantastic. The character looks weird tho.

The Ribbon by Fax 2020-10-06T07:49:23Z

I really like the vaporwave aesthetic of the game and the gameplay is unique! A cool puzzle game :3

Life Of Crime by HKSpadez 2020-10-11T08:50:21Z

Such a great game with a ton of assets! I can't believe how you made all these this jam. Incredible! Ran into performance issues, but hey, it's a game jam! This game has huge potential. Great job!

Demobius Derby by Alasdair Hitchen 2020-10-12T07:10:07Z

The game is pretty fun, however very buggy and it gets unplayable very fast when the handling goes to absolute zero. However for what it's worth, you accomplished a lot for these 72 hours! The music was awesome, the vibe was like a rammstein concert! Good stuff!

Loopbot by ctpeepee 2020-10-13T08:28:44Z

This idea is great! It was very hard to learn which drum beats corespond to every movement though. Visual feedback and mapping the instruments to WASD and Space instead of the first letter seems like a better option.

Transit by GammaRomeo 2020-10-12T07:20:47Z

Happy 20 ratings!

Really inovative game: it has nice and simple graphics. A little sound could've been better, but hey, it's a game jam! The game broke after I got 3/3 passangers however. Some visual feedback on the rail switching would go a long way as well.

Whorl by ZerstorenHV 2020-10-10T16:13:48Z

One of my favourite games this jams. Good work!

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Dungeon Blast by Yword 2021-04-29T08:20:30Z

Really good! Personally, I like the pixel art and VFX. The enemies were a hastle to kill, so I either ignored them, or just kamikazed. It would be great to have more puzzle oriented levels, because puzzles + time strain + enemies sounds cool.

Shoot Them Deeper by pndaa 2021-05-01T07:33:37Z

Counting has never been harder. Good entry! Fantastic graphics and music choice.

Dante's Harvest by Wakobu 2021-04-29T11:45:20Z

Easily the most beautiful game here, but the audio was very weird and clunky: the menu music was nonsense, and the SFX in general are awkward (excluding spanking the peasants, that's hilarious). I found myself running arund trying to find more peasants, and I come to see the weil half broken: some UI indicating the wein's status would be very helpful. Also, the melee combat could use some work as it feels unsatisfying: the devils get tridents, but I don't have even a stick?! I know this reads as a very negative comment, but it's because I love this game's concept and would love to see it in further development. PS, nailed the theme and stayed faithful to Dante's, so +1 from me.

Path to Tribute by machrom 2021-04-30T08:57:03Z

Great entry! However, I feel like the wait time UI should have also been pixel art, to be consistent.

Snake Oil by OrdiNeu 2021-05-01T09:30:02Z

A really fun and interesting idea, something I would love to see more refined, and with a lot more animal stereotypes.

Abracatabra DBDBDeep by gamefive 2021-04-29T07:27:02Z

There's so much content in this game! The graphics are very clean and I love how the slime grows in size every time you give it a potion. I think a tutorial menu explaining what the different icons mean would be nice: I didn't understand the difference between the orange shield and the purple shield. The game has potential, and I hope you continue develop it!

Drill City by honzapat 2021-04-29T08:02:44Z

nuclear power plant simulator 21 On a serious note, I think it's overkill to install 4-5 power plants to win, and that the 999 uran is a little too much. The graphics were great, 3D pixel art is my kryptonite, but the shadows were weird. Voice acting was hilarious. Great entry!

Deep Mole by hutchings90 2021-04-30T08:20:29Z

Neat little game! Top notch VA!!!

Lambda by YellowKamel 2021-04-30T08:45:35Z

In my opinion, the best game on the jam. Seriously. Great work.

River Ravager by PatrickJR 2021-05-01T07:17:07Z

Good entry. As a general rule of thumb, you ALWAYS make the player's collider smaller than it actually is, since a couple of times a piranha looked like it almost hit me, yet it still did.

Gulp! by oramun 2021-05-01T16:28:27Z

Flimsy controls that actually made the game funnier. The box physics were also funnily unpolished. I liked the detail that the light objects rose up on top of the water (except the golden goblet ???), also how the torches extinguished. Good entry!!

Snake in a Cave by Andrew Hoyer 2021-04-29T07:39:51Z

Fun little game! Never thought of snake in a level system before! The only problem I had with the game is that in my first playthrough, when I entered a new level, I had too little time for a reaction, and just smashed into the wall. When I memorized where I had to go the game became a lot more fun!

Cleaning Diver by JaviCoder 2021-04-28T05:31:56Z

incredibly beautiful and serene. great choice of music too. The surface is my favourite looking place, but the deeper you dive, the more the graphics devolve: i could practicaly see where each background ink-splat sprite ended. The walls also stopped connecting properly, and the submarine was just missing its sprite. but hey, time restraints are time restraints. it's a great compo entry all things considered

Gold Mine & Debt Relief by yellowsalamander 2021-04-29T16:38:08Z

@achiru Thanks, man! The reason you want to explore the caves is so you can find treasure nests, which give a lot more gold than simply mining. I should've made that more clear in the intro, though!

Gold Mine & Debt Relief by yellowsalamander 2021-04-30T05:59:23Z

@andrew-hoyer I haven't even thought of the option of relative controls. Will try them out.

Gold Mine & Debt Relief by yellowsalamander 2021-05-01T18:01:06Z

@alex-lemming You get as much gold you want/can, there's a total of 4 endings depending on how much you got.

Deep Dive by mharitsnf 2021-05-01T09:15:25Z

Fun little game with a great mechanic that's very promising. Movement was smooth, until I died because I'm bad, and my guy wasn't deleted. When I died again, the scene transition completely died. The only bug I noticed.

Deepest Dungeon by yobiscus 2021-04-28T05:38:45Z

this is a very interesting concept: a speedrunning game with a slow moving character. very serene and calming, yet anxious when you see the screen darken. good job!

Bucket Hat by Edur 2021-05-01T09:23:17Z

Fun little game! The only problem I found, was that the enemies I killed always respawn, so there isn't really any reason to fight them. Also, when I was leaving buildings, the skeletons that were chasing me were camping in front of the building and very quickly mauled me. Loved the color choice.

Deep Freeze by ckane144 2021-04-28T05:45:25Z

love how the music fades in and out
