Overall pretty nice, I like the art style and gameplay was fun. The controls were pretty unique and took a bit to master. I found using keyboard + mouse controls easier. The only complaint is that the difficulty shift between level 4 and level 5 was too big in my opinion, another level between those two would feel a little better I think.
Absolutely stunning, music was great and it took me a couple tries to beat (mostly because I was trying for a good time) 5/5 amazing game, good job!

The art is very nice and the gameplay is good too, I think it needs some sound effects though.
It's a nice concept and I really loved the music shift as you get to the deeper parts.
The atmosphere was really good, and I loved the part where when crouching through the tunnel the enemies come out of nowhere and you barely make it through.
Damn, very short, but I loved every second of it. Really beautiful and gave me a lot of inspiration for future 3D games I might make. The sound is spot on too. Great work, honestly.

Great job on the graphics, only using rectangles you still managed to make it look amazing. I'd say the death screen could go a bit faster, being able to jump back in asap would make it better imo. Also more movement mechanics like double jumping and dashing could go a long way.

@itzemii Thank you! There is no sound, because we didn't have enough time to add it. Neither of us are good with music/sound so we decided to rather leave it mute than rushing sfx last second.
@darthboseiju yeah, I'll add that to the bugfix, was planned on having vfx options, but didn't have enough time to implement as we didn't think of them causing too many problems.
@duskel understandable, definitely didn't take into account some of the bigger projectiles when designing the enemies. Some projectiles get bigger when they bounce so I can imagine things getting very chaotic.
@domin77 oh damn, I'll definitely be adding that to the bugfix. I didn't even know we had that option, I've been using the mousewheel this entire time. XP
@jahwffrey yeah, @cookiera did a really great job on those. The sword + octo shot is the most op thing ever, I 3 shot the final boss with a maxed octosword... definitely needs some balancing :P
@seskon yeah, seems like we both were using scroll wheel when testing so that bug slipped under our radars. @cookiera did all the pixelart, he is absolutely mad
@mrsiker defensive abilities, great idea, thank you!
@gabrielgamedev the abilities get randomized every 60 seconds if you don't pick up blue potions (locks save you from one randomization), but yeah after playing it a bit now, definitely feel like the speed at which it randomizes should be upped, especially because you don't get to see the cool part about the enemies randomizing too.
@zapdos2 scroll wheel to change abilities, pretty bad bug that we let slip :( (both of us used scroll wheel when testing)

I'm pretty sure the enemy spawnrate stays even after restarting, so on like the 5th try they start spawning really fast and you have to restart the page to reset it. Otherwise fun game.
@senior-sigan Hmmmm, haven't encountered that myself. Sounds like a pretty nasty bug, i'll investigate.
@ryan-dotsikas Glad you enjoyed it. We tried optimizing it as much as we could, but eventually the character just gets too overpowered with hundreds of bullets being shot every frame. Lagging out and crashing is kind of the goal of this game, you know you've succeeded in your build if you drop to 5fps XD
@davirtuoso Thank you! The enemies ramping up was something we did for optimization, so we could lower the spawnrate, but it ended up helping it feel more balanced too. Although we didn't have much time to perfect stat scaling for the player and enemies.
@la-bread yeah, I did notice that myself in testing, but I wasn't sure how to work around that issue. Probably more balanced movement speed stat scaling I'd guess.
@finde Yeah feedback is important, we added sound and damage animations (forgot about the player though), but those kinda break once you get to the later waves.
@chillertyp 102 is pretty good, after that it starts to get pretty laggy from how op you get

Love the visuals, great graphics and the upgrades are just my style. Fun play, was slightly difficult, but that could just be skill issue on my part.
Got around 2400 points. Very impressive how much you got done in 3 days. My only criticism is the performance. For me it was kinda laggy which made it a bit hard to play.
Fun game, loved the concept with the gun, movement was a bit slow, but overall good game.
Love the concept of each ability being on 10s cooldowns, very fun and made me strategize.

Beautiful visuals and music, it fits so well and most of the transitions are really well done. Only thing i noticed is that there is no penalty for just mashing the keys, you can get pretty much all notes by just spamming both of the keys nonstop. Also there seemed to be slight input lag, but that might just have been my imagination or something on my end.

Nice gameplay, music is good too, although could do with some sound effects. Some cards didn't always work as intended, for example the card that damages all spaces barely ever worked properly for me. It either didn't do the right amount of damage or didn't damage all enemies. I only got it to work properly once and I don't know why. Overall a fun play though, good job.

Great game, feels so polished I wouldn't guess it was made during a jam. Impressive work. Enemies do get an absurd amount of mana later on tho, died to an enemy chaining 3 damage spells in a single turn. Also here is my highscore :3 image_2024-04-20_220354502.png

Lovely game, my fingers hurt now :P Love the art, especially the wizard in the main menu. Everything felt well made and polished, only thing missing was something to explain what some of the building do. I didn't realize altars gave mana until I read the comments here. Overall great game :)

Lovely game, the art looks great too. Last boss was terrifyingly fast. There were some quirks in the bosses and ally behavior that was a little off, but overall had a great time!
