Fun game. Jump feels a bit floaty but the game is enjoyable for a while
Very good, I think the character is a little slow
Very well done! I played through the first three levels. I liked the introduction of the water gun, very neat. The switching back and forth from red to blue every ten seconds fit the theme very well. The jumping was a bit 'floaty' but I didn't really have any complaints. Very impressive and well done.
Thank you all for the feedback @lemare,@hora-timer and @disperse! The character controller was definitely something we were struggling to get right. It is a good thing that we made the character a little bit faster for the final build. :)
I like the idea, maybe need to improve the controls and add more functionalities like double jump or wall jumps in a future version.
Totally enjoyable like says other comments of course, good job.
Cool little game! Character was cute and all platforms were visually clear. I also liked how easy it was to see when color is about to change so timing jumps were really easy. Music was nice and upbeat.
As others have said, jump is a bit floaty. I found myself jumping way over most hazards. I also had some problems to figure out how and why the balls and spiky balls changed with the colors. Maybe I misunderstood, but could those be color coded as well? Biggest issue for me was that there are no checkpoints and levels can be quite large. I stopped playing in a level (I am sorry, I do not remember number) where you climb up, with same platforms on each side, only different colors. It was quite long way from spawn point and I ran there multiple times... and kept dying on the climb part: flipandswap.png
Overall it was a fun little experience. I pointed out I was jumping way over most obstacles, and I kind of liked how fast I was able to go. Especially some horizontal sections where I could just run and adapt to changing environment were really fun and in those I did not mind not having a checkpoint :) You made a good game, I hope I was not too harsh <3
In case anyone likes the music; you can also listen to it on YouTube:

Good game overall, but like other comments the speed through me off a lot
but still good game
Nice concept. Platforming is a bit rough. I love the main character though!
@BoClow this was actually the last level, you almost made it ^^ Glad you had fun with the game, the speedrun-like jumping strategies are definitely something that I also enjoy. Thanks for playing!
Also, a huge thank you to all the other people who already played our game and left comments ^^ greatly appreciated!

Nice take on the theme! The character looked cute :D I like the puzzely levels with enough action to make it fun. Once I managed to end up in a cruel "spike vs block" unescapable situation, but it was all my fault! Welld one!
@borgi where was that cruel situation?
Cool little platformer you got here. Well done for getting a game in for ludum dare this year!
@wearedev maybe cruel is not the appropriate word, lets say it was a fuked situation :D Its on the screenshot above. I got to that place and blue block turned on, I couldnt jump away and was spiked. Don't get me wrong please, was fun! :D flipswap.png
Nice job !.
great theme disclosure
Excellent take on the topic! I like the puzzle stages with enough action to keep it interesting. I fall a lot when the 10 seconds are up; I've been unlucky frequently xD! Wonderful concept! :) Thank you for a wonderful experience! :D
The jumping felt a bit floaty to me at the start, but I got used to it and ultimately the floatiness made things easier (which I appreciated, as I am not all that good at platformers ).
I really liked the design of the main character and the level design is great! Inventive and interesting to explore. If I would suggest one improvement, it's to the transition effect. It's quite intense and gets hard on the eyes. I guess the background overall could be more muted, to draw the attention to the foreground and bring it out.
I had fun playing!
The game is a bit too difficult because there's no saving point(Or maybe it's because I haven't got that far, but it's definitely necessary for even the first two levels). And as everyone else pointed out, the jumping is a bit floaty. Maybe it's intentional but it's not that comfortable for me. Anyways, nice entry!
Jumping is a little strange but in overall nice
Very fun game! Love the music and artstyle! Great work
The game fells laged, and theres a level where it bugged! but it a nice platformer! check out my jam game!
Nice game. Movement is a bit to slow for my taste, but I like art style, and level design with tutorials as a part of level.
The mechanic was very interesting! Levels were quite well designed to make use of the color swap. Controls felt a bit cumbersome and moving around was frustratingly slow. When you die it feels punishing because you know you have to walk again through the whole thing at snail pace. Music was very well done! Overall a decent amount of polish and the game feels finished, although the gameplay could be made more fun!
This is a fiendishly tricky puzzle-type platformer.
I think the concept is pretty good, but the controls feel a little rough around the edges. A little move responsiveness needed here maybe.
Look into things like coyote time and jump buffers, and tune the player speed to try to give a nicer feel to the player controls.
The idea of platforms switching in an out on the timer is a suitable link to the theme. I would like to see more of that but giving you access to secret rooms etc.
I liked your game, great execution of the theme there! I felt like the character was a bit too much moving like in low gravity for me, but I still wanted to play on. Good job :)
Nice job with clear instructions. Nailed the theme with the use of the switches. Music really hyped me during the play through.
Really enjoyed the ball mechanics. Super interesting idea and fun to play around with. Character model is awesome!
I love how the mechanic ties in with the theme. I also like the art style. Like others have said, I think that the character is a little floaty and hard to control.
This game is a nice adaptation of the theme. I really enjoyed it and its neat graphics.
I agree that the speed is pretty slow, but I love this idea - it's so original, and very fun to play. I would say that the 10 second rule was a bit too slow, but other than that, great job! Such a fun and original concept.
I like a lot the concept of the blocks changing every 10 seconds.
Solid little game. Left/right seems to work on controller, but jump does not. It's also unfortunate that you need to wait in some levels for balls to push, I liked the parts of the levels more where two different routes were available at all times.
I enjoyed seeing another platformer implementation for this theme. It is fun to compare and contrast how we did things differently. I love the music and art style.
The switching is a really nice idea !!
Liked the tutorial directly integrated at the begining of the game itself.
The character is a bit sluggy and the jump is hard to control. But I still had fun playing this game !
Neat use of theme. I wish the platforming wasn't so floaty. I really like the display of the clock and the transition effect when swapping between red and blue. Good job.
With some tighter controls this game could actually be something! Now the character takes a bit too much time to get moving and therefore the movement feels a bit laggy. I found myself wanting to hold the sprint button and that is usually a sign that movement could use some iteration. But nothing you could not iron out after the jam!
The main mechanic is great though and fits the theme. Level design is actually pretty solid for a jam game! A bit better visual feedback about the swap time approaching would have helped me to react a bit better.
But overall, great work!
The game is really well rounded and fleshed out! You all worked well as a team. It was a simple and solid concept that was easy to grasp but I can imagine there's a lot of ways to extend this idea further. My only feedback is that it felt a bit too floaty and slippery. Tweaking the movement so that it's a little more responsive would really let the game shine more. Really nicely done!
This is so good! I was really trying to think ways to make platformer with some 10 second gimmick but they never felt good or worked but you guys managed to make it work in a genuine way! It's such a nice mechanic and really well made! I feel that the player is a bit too slow but as a whole it doesn't really matter! Might even make it a bit easier to play? I guess... But anyway! Amazing work!
I am AWFUL at platformers so I got almost nowhere, but it's very clear that this is an amazingly polished game. I enjoyed the floaty feeling, though the spikes felt a bit fast but that's probably because I am *bad* at platformers.
Well done! :D
This is fantastic. The level design and the mechanic are incredible. I really appreciated that you guys designed different routes for different worlds. You must have put a good amount of efforts in the level design!
I love the sketch-styled cartoon character! The last level is soooo hard but I finally beat it. Yay!
Nice well thought out idea. I find it a great pity that the stick figure is very clumsy to control. And the shift function for running faster is useless anyway. But the graphics are not ugly, and I think the level desing is also good.
Nice platformer idea with the theme. Character controller felt sticky and little bit too floaty. Background cube graphics was little bit too noisy for my taste.
It is just an amazing idea !! Well Done :)
Good Job! I like the concept of the colored blocks switching.
Fun game, loved the concept with the gun, movement was a bit slow, but overall good game.
You've already heard plenty of feedback about the character speed, which is the only critique I would have said.
Otherwise, the idea is *really* cool. I love the thought of a platformer/puzzle game where you switch between two worlds, nice one! The transition effect was also really good in my opinion.
Neat concept and some very cool level design! I feel like I was able to avoid a couple of puzzles with some tricky platforming but that's just a positive in my book :D
It was fun. It was challenging to get block to block. It took awhile to respawn and the movement was slow. The background song wasn't to good. But it was fun with the timer to switch color, it was hard because the color would switch and you would fall and die. Over all it's a fun game to play. Good job on the game.
I'll echo what others have said about the platforming speed, but other than that I really enjoyed this! Cool concept, nice art, and pretty fun overall. Good work!
Really cool take on the theme. I liked the level design and felt like a good level of challenge to keep me engaged. I'll also echo what other said about platforming but still enjoyed the game!
Character feels a bit slow and floaty, but the level design and idea are really great - nice job!
Very cool concept, I think I made it to level 5! There were some neat platformer puzzles, especially involving the pushable balls and watergun- that was a really nice touch. I would love a way to speedup time so that I didn't have to wait the full 10 seconds during some platforming sequences.
Congrats on the good entry!
The game is ok. I like the fact that you have to think with the pistol if and when you turn over the stone balls. Animations are also quite good. Well done.
The character is a bit floaty, but other than that it's a perfectly fine platformer. I really like the addition of the gun though, and the fact that it sends things to the other dimension. You could make a puzzle game expanding on that idea.
Nice concept idea! Character feels too slow but overall its a great platformer!
Good idea and level design,I got a fun time, and the music is cool.Well done.
GOOD GAME, I liked the level design and the art in the game!
A nice platformer, and I like the concept of the coloured blocks swapping every 10 seconds and toggling between a solid and non-solid tile. Well done!
Very nice use of the theme, I felt there were a lot of related mechanics implemented. The UI was well done and gave me a clear feeling of the time remaining. The balls with physics kinda surprised me to be honest. Overall a solid entry! Great work!!
This was really well done. My one criticism would be that the 10 second constraint feels like it works against the game. Most of the time I end up waiting around for a few seconds doing nothing. It works well with the theme of the jam, but it felt like a mechanic that would be better served as a button press rather then on a timer. I love the music, it fits really well into the game.
hsdsg.JPG nice idea!wonderful game!
Very fun game, I like the idea especially when the gun is introduced. Controls needs some tweaking but not bad. Good job overall!
Fun game. I Like the levels designed. I made it till level 4. Cool concept, nice art, and pretty fun overall. Good work!
A very fun game, has big potential as a mobile game
I did play another platformer with swapping tiles, but this game was fun, ty :)
Nice game, but it feels weirdly slow, i think the gravity and the move speed should be higher, as it feels pretty floaty, i would also recommend adding kayote time, basicaly few extra seconds to jump after you run off a platform, makes the controlls feel nicer, but that's my only real problem with the game, other than that, great job
