Great game!
I've seen a couple of these top down hoard shooters and so far I think this one implemented the 10 second aspect the best, movement felt good, my only issue is the game gets a bit stale after you circle around the enemies and create a group that can be a bullet sponge.
Really liked it! The music was great, really felt hyped up, especially when the shooting was kind of in sync with the beat, felt really cool. The graphics and the vfx look really nice aswell. Great job!
Wow, this is a really great game! :) Kudos for getting this done. Graphics, sound, gameplay everything comes together really nice for fast and furious experiences. Nicely done!
Nice game, fun. But sometimes I cannot play after receiving an upgrade. Could it be a bug?
Wow really great job with this, I had a ton of fun! I love a good "Vampire Survivors" style game and this executed on that in a really great way in such a short time! It was so much fun to have piercing bullets and chain lightning just mowing down enemies. I did get some lag when there were a lot of enemies and bullets on screen but my computer is also not the best so it could just be my fault. But overall this was awesome, great job!

it was fun to play, art and music are great ! (just two little notes: - the game is to big for my screen size and i play it a bit cropped - i reach the end of the backgroud texture)
Cool game :) I think it would have been even better with some more feedbacks on things happening in the game (like when you take dmg, when enemies die etc.)
@senior-sigan Hmmmm, haven't encountered that myself. Sounds like a pretty nasty bug, i'll investigate.
That was really fun - I got to level 101 by my third attempt which shows how much I enjoyed it! The choice mechanic is great and really ramped up the power trip, though despite me feeling god-like at times the game caught up and made enemies tankier and more tricky as I went on. The regular upgrades meant that I never felt stagnant as something was always changing or improving.
Simple in concept but well executed - great job!
@ryan-dotsikas Glad you enjoyed it. We tried optimizing it as much as we could, but eventually the character just gets too overpowered with hundreds of bullets being shot every frame. Lagging out and crashing is kind of the goal of this game, you know you've succeeded in your build if you drop to 5fps XD
@davirtuoso Thank you! The enemies ramping up was something we did for optimization, so we could lower the spawnrate, but it ended up helping it feel more balanced too. Although we didn't have much time to perfect stat scaling for the player and enemies.
@la-bread yeah, I did notice that myself in testing, but I wasn't sure how to work around that issue. Probably more balanced movement speed stat scaling I'd guess.
@finde Yeah feedback is important, we added sound and damage animations (forgot about the player though), but those kinda break once you get to the later waves.

Always happy to play a vampire survivors style infinite shooter, this was fun. Would love to see some more weapon variations if you decide to flesh this out more
@mr-danh we would also like to develop the game to something more, but that goes for many of the projects we have made in LD, so its unlikely :,)

Great survivors game, and I like the sci-fi theme. It also had a wider variety of upgrades than I was expecting, the first time I played I got basic stat upgrades (I got to level 30 in that run) but I played again and got the lasers, extra shots, and the shurikens offered. It would have been good to know those exist as options beforehand somehow, but it was fun enough without them for me to come back and find them organically.
Also, I really like that you've got a web build, makes it much nicer to play when reviewing jam games. Good job all round!

Amazing game. Truly. I know Vampire Survivors and similar clones are very popular right now but you've created something similarly great in just a few days. Gameplay, upgrades, and enemy damage felt balanced and fair. Enemy sprite art was nice as well. Maybe leaderboards next time!? Keep up the great work.
The game has a really solid core game mechanics and lives from the power fantasy: Start weak and get ridiculuos strong in short time, to beat massive waves of aliens. I mean ... you start with a simple weapon and end up with a couple of extra bullets, piercing, shurikens and also energy chaining...

This game is really fun. I survived 28 waves. The monsters are very cute and the atmosphere is great. I only found one bug - I run out off the background.
Great game! Had a lot of fun playing this one. The graphics are amazing. Had no lag either when playing through it which is impressive especially considering how much was on the screen. Great Job!
@glaikunt thank you, yeah we tried optimizing where we could while still keeping the visuals.
Two simple gripes: it's not really telegraphed well that you need to close the menu yourself after the upgrade (I originally thought there's a bug), and the monsters themselves don't appear much different other than the looks (maybe it simply gets too crowded too fast to tell any significant difference, other than variations in speed/toughness/damage)
Otherwise, simple concept, but scales well. Graphics and audio (especially the action cues) are on point. Really engaging!
Really nice entry. A bit hard at first, but when you have enough bonus, it become very juicy to play, i love it. I stop to play because i think i got too much upgrade^^. My main strategy was to go up and swip all the enemy. I love the energy chaining, it's very well done. The music and art are very good, particularly the animations. Good job !
I got to 95 waves before I quit. I found that standing in one spot and shooting in a circle was too strong after around wave 70. Great game and great implementation though! One of the best I've seen so far this jam.

Really fun! Reminds me of Vampire Survivors (in a good way). Lots of fun upgrades to grab and the VFX, audio, and characters are all exciting to look at. The explosions and attention to detail on the weapon attacks and trails really amps up the excitement level for the game.
Slow start but once I've got upgrades it gets the ball going and I had fun. Pretty solid game you got here.

really nice and fun to play game, i wanted to push the game as far as i could to see if my browser could handle it and if the electrocity spread would do the job for me combined with shurikens, spoiler alert, it did not, i eventually died ahah
Always love these types of games and you did the upgrading really well - I never felt overpowered or underpowered. I think the game-feel was pretty good apart from getting hit wasn't very obvious apart from the sound effect (would've been good to know how much health I lost each time or even having a bit of screen shake). Nice work!
