The pixel art is on point, really love it, the mechanics of the game are fun, a thing that I would like to see is that the main menu fits the game art style. Overall is a fun game to play, good job !

The game creates a great mood! With the graphics and the lighting! Unfortunately there was no sound when I played (webgl).
@itzemii Thank you! There is no sound, because we didn't have enough time to add it. Neither of us are good with music/sound so we decided to rather leave it mute than rushing sfx last second.
Like the mechanics a lot - the lack of sond is a shame, as noted, but such is life when there's not enough time! One request I personally would make would be to remove the motion blur, or add a toggle! It does funny things to my eyes.
Despite that - good job!
Too bad for the sound :x the graphics are really cool but character and mobs are too smol compare to the bullet ^^ it makes things hard to understand
Pretty funny game I really like the pixel art. Just one point I tried to change spell using 1/2/3/4 keys, in graphics it looked like selected but I still had the same spell.
I love procedurally generated weapons, and I think that's a really nice use of the theme. I died a few times but then got a sword attack which also unleashed a hailstorm of deadly bullets and then it was the enemies who went running scared. Had a blast!
I was a bit confused at the beginning since i used the num keys to switch spells, witch the UI showed but it actually didnt work. Glad i played a second time to figure out you can use the scroll wheele too, and with that it works properly. Other than that, some rooms felt a bit hard but thats probably because i am not too familiar with the enemies. Ver nice pixel art tho and i very much like dungeon crawler, overall nice Entry! :)
Cool gameplay and dynamic. Abilities are not much different from each other (all are used to attack). It is also inconvenient to use them. But that didn't stop me from enjoying the game.
I hadn't really understood the concept of the game after I realized that spells were random. But it seems that the system only randomizes at the beginning of the game. During the game I always stay with the same magic. Once I got it, I thought the idea was interesting but in the end the game kind of boils down to spamming magic. Very nice visual style, cool idea but it can be better explored. What was sorely missed were sound effects and music.
Seems we had a similar idea when making our games, with combining magic with randomness! :D Love the graphics, looks really great. Wish I could make something like that without having to resort to premade assets. It didn't seem like changing the abilities did anything, though? Otherwise felt very good to control and unlocking new areas and progressing felt very satisfying. Nice job!
@darthboseiju yeah, I'll add that to the bugfix, was planned on having vfx options, but didn't have enough time to implement as we didn't think of them causing too many problems.
@duskel understandable, definitely didn't take into account some of the bigger projectiles when designing the enemies. Some projectiles get bigger when they bounce so I can imagine things getting very chaotic.
@domin77 oh damn, I'll definitely be adding that to the bugfix. I didn't even know we had that option, I've been using the mousewheel this entire time. XP
@jahwffrey yeah, @cookiera did a really great job on those. The sword + octo shot is the most op thing ever, I 3 shot the final boss with a maxed octosword... definitely needs some balancing :P
@seskon yeah, seems like we both were using scroll wheel when testing so that bug slipped under our radars. @cookiera did all the pixelart, he is absolutely mad
@mrsiker defensive abilities, great idea, thank you!
@gabrielgamedev the abilities get randomized every 60 seconds if you don't pick up blue potions (locks save you from one randomization), but yeah after playing it a bit now, definitely feel like the speed at which it randomizes should be upped, especially because you don't get to see the cool part about the enemies randomizing too.
@zapdos2 scroll wheel to change abilities, pretty bad bug that we let slip :( (both of us used scroll wheel when testing)
Good! great idea with locking doors and randomization , pixel art is great & lighting effects. I died in blue dungeon after killing big boss, he was hard but I had awsome magic skills :snowflake:
The art is good and I love the concept, but I found this execution to not be that fun. I found that the optimal way to play was to just get lucky enough to obtain an ability with projectiles that split multiple times, and then just spam my way through everything, never using other abilities.
I love the spells, effects, and pixel art! It is a good idea to include four different spells for the player to try also. I wasn't sure what each one did because sometimes a spell didn't look like it was doing anything to a certain enemy but I figured maybe some enemies had a resistance to a certain spell. Good job with this one!
Pressing the numbers not changing the spells is killer because it looks like it works :(. After playing I read the comments I had to go back and try with the wheel. Game is that much more fun. One quick suggestion is to put the mouse wheel instruction on the itch page. Because I typically look at how to play a game there. As well as if anyone doesn't browse back to the LDJam site or if they find the game through itch, they'll have that note readily available.
I was pretty confused at first, I had an attack that shot circles out from me in all directions, on my second playthrough I realized I could change the weapon with the scroll wheel. It seems a little hard with some of the weapons, especially in tight spaces. I love the graphics and the procedurally generated layouts. Sound would be nice, but I almost never add sound with my jam games. I would suggest adding better instructions because I'm still not quite sure if I was playing it right. I did beat the first boss though! Well done!
