Hello, I received a 404 at that itch link.
What a bummer you couldn't finish in time, started it up and it already feels and looks great. would love to see a full playable version. tag me if you guys upload a new version! there are still plenty of other great games for you guys to play and rate if you've not done any yet. cheers
@mobiusdisco thank you. We'll finish it anyway. Your comment is very important and keeps me going!
I loved 3d models !! Nice Job !!
@mobiusdisco almost forgot to mention you. It's playble now!
This game deserves more recognition! If you had got everything working, I could definitely see this being a competition winner! The Music, Mood, 3D models, and even just the basic game concept are incredable. Loved it. I found it hard to drag trees at the start, but that was probably me just being bad :/ Also can you check out my game? Thanks
Graphics and animations are great, and so is the music and the sound effects. They create a nice atmosphere. The idea is nice and well executed. If you had this working on time you would have done great in the competition. The final version looks almost like a complete game, if it had more content of course. One of the best games I played in the competition, but unfortunately you didn't have time to finish it.
I really like the graphics and the audio, and as others have said, this could have been one of the top entries had you finished it in time. I really liked the finished version, though I couldn't really understand the bot mechanics properly.
Perfect! :) I love this kind of MIT scratch with robots and fit into the theme
@zahab-aq @exofrenon @alastairwyn Even if we screwed up a deadline I'm happy to share what've done and get every piece of feedback.
The idea is super innovative but man that was ambitious for a 3 days jam. Congrats already on what you were able to create, the 3D graphics look stunning. It's just a shame that there isn't a basic gameplay loop, even without the bots. I wasn't able to drag a tree if the jam version. But the post compo corrects all this and it's an interesting game to play, well done!
@rend Thanks! All credits to our artists who met the deadline. I've added only one animation (drown) after the deadline. Actually that's a reason why we've finished it -- I can't imagine letting people who worked those 3 days with me down.
Yup, original version is a mess, but as I remember I've finished character controls by that time, unlike a game loop :|
Love the post compo!
i do love the movement and the soundtrack specially the falling trees but the margine is a little bit disturbing so if u can please hide it
Nice 3D in both versions!
Really Awesome Programmer Creativity , I wish only if there was a tutorial
I just played for 1h straight and I guess that's all. Really good game!
With such a cool title, i just had to play and was pleasantly surpised. The graphics are really high quality and moody. I love the water progression too. Sadly, i was not able to drag anything (i guess that#s the not finished part). The whole bot topic was a bit overwhelming, i didn't know at all what was going on there. I guess the game would have worked better without the bot, just as a little experience, because the graphics+sound=mood are so great (and the scope would be more doable). But i love ambition and really like the game, more than most finished games ;)
btw i had a little chuckle when the world was flooded, but i walked on the bottom of the ocean and fell of the map :D
I had fun playing the game. The graphics are amazing and the music is alright. I do wish I could move faster though. For some reason I couldn't drag any trees. No matter what I tried. What was I doing wrong?
@rayaarito have you played post-version or so called prototype? Anyway, you could do it in both, but post-ludum version is easier. Tip: aim at the very base of a trunk
It took me a while to understand what was going on. A tutorial would help or more ways to show what's clickable and what does what. Overall it looked and sounded good, and the idea is original. Nice!
That looks very promising! I had a hard time knowing how the bot could've helped and what I could do with fallen trees. I have to rate based on the first submission, sadly, since the post-ludum version seems like it improved upon it. I'll try it out as well~
Loovely art style and the idea with the robot. This could be a fantastic game if You keep working on it!
Nice game, I hope to see more updates and improvments sooner. If you don't bother take a look at our game when we focused on Graphics and visuals and see the results that we got: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/spacelab-42
Loved the idea of programming your own robots, so cool! :yum:
Great game, loved the graphics particularly :p Great job !
Very cool idea! Completed the post-jam game, nevermind how long that took, it's so good! gets a bit laborious by the end since you can just spam spawn loads of them without any negatives, but still, kept me entertained throughout. I did have to rate the jam version though, but the post-jam is one of the best games i've seen in this past week, great work, people!
EDIT: where are the MGS references???:(
EDIT2: forgot my single small maybe possibly helpful suggestion- since a lot of the late game involves re-programming or programming robots and they themselves move around, the player camera lerping slightly in front of the movement vector sometimes makes it annoyingly hard to do the things you want to do. If this was not intentional (the annoyingness), you might want to consider removing the cam shift or reducing it some, unless it strongly impacts on the feel
Really nice game... it's a shame that you can't finish in the jam time. The graphics are stunning, and the gameplay is really fun. Nice take on the theme using Noah story. Good job!
@erikiene robots are metal gear :)
Very nice and smooth graphics, I liked that you can build bots and upgrade them. Had a lot of fun playing the game.
I found the concept of this little game really great! The sound and visual environment are very successful and the robot management system too! However, I think that adding feedback for the player's actions would make it easier to understand the mechanics of the game and make the experience even better! Great job! :)
By the way please feel free to leave us some feedbacks on our game!
I really liked this game. It is simple, it is fun and overall plays nice
I loved the post-jam version and I wish you were able to even just fix the bugs in the jam version so it could be halfway as enjoyable as the post-jam version. To be honest, the jam version was hardly working, I couldn't move the trees and the robot was not responding and the water filled so fast so it was kinda frustrating.
As for the post-jam version it was one of the best games I played in this jam. Great graphics and mood. It certainly has great potential and it was very enjoyable to play. Great work :)
