I had fun playing this game. The fleas should be placed more randomly. Nice sounds, i laughed a lot. Keep the hard work for next LD !

@kasarun Thank you for your comment! I appreciate the feedback :)
Nice game, although it could have done with being a little harder :) The matching flees tended to be in columns, maybe some randomness would go a long way here :)
Well done
@lilroo - Thank you! Yes I agree, the idea in my head was definitely a more varied game with more randomness - I might do another iteration of the game with the feedback I receive :)
Nice work, maybe a harder difficulty would be a good idea. Good job.
Its a fun concept and a fun game! Maybe improve a little the graphics, and i think the fleas follow a pattern and this make the game a little easy.
I enjoy a lot playing this, its so fun ^^ and i love the sounds!!
Thanks @blackrose and @pandakipu ! Next time I'm definitely going to improve on the graphics and gameplay, thanks for the feedback!
Hey, nice work for your first LD!
It was my first too, so I totally get that there was more that you wanted to do, but couldn't because of the time limit. The awesome thing is that you finished and made a fun little game! I loved the sound effects and mood.
@misterstripey Thanks so much! Appreciate it, looking forward to the next one!
Fun small game! You could improve Graphics or so but hey its a gameJam!
@acuadoystudios What?! Improve on my already perfect graphics??? Just kidding! haha yes totally! I look forward to focusing on graphics for my next jam, it's so much fun and it will be a real challenge! Thanks for playing ;)
Great work there. Its really amazing that this is your first game and you managed to make graphics, sound and code by yourself. Impressive really:)
If there is one thing you can do to make the game even more interesting it would be to add levels of difficulty by increasing the amount of fleas so that it gets harder to remember and may be to limit the number of attempts so that the player need to pay attention at the beginning. Good job :)
Excellent game. Nice little puzzler and very gratifying visual and audio feedback. Nice work!
Really nice game for your first Ludum Dare! You finished your game and it have sound and selfmade graphics. Thats really awesome. It could be more difficult. But overall you have done a good job! I hope you will got the 20 ratings to get your result :)
First: Congrats to your first game! :-)
Yes, the randomness is lacking, but I guess you want to dive in further into game making and maybe improve on that for this game.
The gameplay is simple, like memory but a bit different and it has a funny setting.
Go on! :-)
Hmm. When I go to the link off of the page you linked to, I just get a large fuchsia box on the screen and nothing else. Is there a particular browser we need to use to play the HTML5 version?
Great job on your first game!
A couple of pointers to keep in mind for next time:
- When the players focus is on the left with all the fleas, the facial expressions of the dog get lost a little bit when you make or miss a match - The visual difference between the matching fleas was a little too subtle for my taste. _(Maybe something more obvious like merging a "broken heart" type thing could work?)_ - The sounds for good and bad were both pretty happy sounding. So when I started playing I thought I did everything right, but I was doing it wrong apparently . - Once two fleas are connected they visually still look the same as the once you're selecting. Maybe change their appearance a little once they're locked in. - Finally, maybe a max number of tries so you could also lose the game. This way there's a little more tension for players to get it right.
Either way, like a said, for a first game, nice job! Especially since it's made within 48hours!!
Hat tip to you :tophat:
There! Made it 20. Nice game. I loved the sounds! They were so funny! Overall, really good job.
Oh, and I would really like it if you rate mine. Link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/survival-game
I rated your game earlier but didn't have time to leave a comment. I really liked this game. For a first time effort this came along pretty well! All the best for your future endeavors!
cute. Would be interesting to have as a phone application.
Wow!!! Just logged on to read all of this great feedback - thank you so much everyone! I have rated all of your games and really appreciate the time you have taken to play and rate mine :)
@lone-spelunker I'm sorry about that! I did have some browser trouble but I re-uploaded the HTML5 version and it should work on Firefox and Chrome at least!
Pretty good first try! At first I thought it was more like memory, and expected I had to combine matching fleas rather than different-looking ones. I should've read your description better, but on the other hand a hallmark of a good game is that it explains itself clearly to the player.
Other than that, @rick already said the things I wanted to say. :)
Good job!
This was very fun to play, it has a lot to improve on, but for a first game and a first jam game it is very fun to play! Keep up the good work and hope to see more of you.
Cool take on memory. Super cute. The game couldn't end for me because there was no match for someone. Poor lil' guy. :'-(
Sweet ! I like the idea, amazing work for a first game, I hope you like your LD experience :)
Great for a first game ! You could have made the matching a little more clear, and a more negative sounding noise when you got your couple wrong (I didn't understand I was doing things wrong at first).
Great sound effects! Randomising the fleas would've been good for repeat plays.
