I like music games, I really do. But could you please give some kind of indication of how to play? I have no idea what you're meant to do in this game, even after experimenting with it for a while.

Interesting concept, but a bit more direction would be useful. I didn't know if what I was doing was helping or making it worse, so I just brute forced a few then gave up.

That was fun! Could definitely use clearer instructions though! To anyone wondering how to play, you need to pick a set of notes for each instrument to play, and need to avoid any instrument's set of notes overlapping. Hit left and right to change instruments, and hit the space bar to cycle between different note sets.

@agentparsec @oats @frankiesmileshow Thanks for trying it out and sorry about that. I've updated the instructions on itch.io and added them above as well.

this is such a rad concept. had fun feeling the groove of fitting instruments together. i would love to see a slightly more fleshed out version of this. maybe with some more puzzle elements? not really sure. very cool!

This is a very interesting concept and I think it could be expanded into an excellent little mobile game. I kind of liked the having to work out what was needed to complete each level and it held my interest long enough for me to complete the game. The graphics were function and the sound was really good for the most part. All-in-all a wonderful entry.

good stuff :8ball:

Really creative way to apply the theme to a music sequencer. Give me more levels and I will play this game for hours. I kind of wish you could see the potential note placement as the current beat moves along, but I'm a filthy casual.

Loved everything about this from the clean visuals to the soothing audio, excellent work!

This game is a great operatunity for opening up new arias in musical games.

Dude! Fantastic game! Absolutely loved it! Keep it up!

Really really like the concept of this game. The audio was awesome and I love how it is half rhythm game and half puzzler. My one critique is that it was hard to know what pattern an instrument would generate without placing it. Overall awesome job!

Cheers for trying something risky. :) I struggle playing but there's definitely a gem hidden in this.

This was a really innovative game- I'm not sure I have ever played a game like this. The music I created was entirely unexpected. One change I would like is the ability to see what blocks will be filled by an instrument without having to place it.

Fun game!

Quite innovative. The only problem is that you need to try random chords until it works.

rongo-matane 2018-08-24 20:13

Concept is pretty cool! The sounds are good and do not become annoying. I had trouble figuring out how it works, a little tutorial section would have helped - but i finally did and then could really play around. I played until 5 colors. Really cool game, top value for innovation!

This is a really cool mechanic.

Love the concept! I had a bit of trouble in the last level, which took me about 10 minutes and was my right kind of challenge, but there was this buzzing sound at times. I love how it also had to do with reflexes. It fits the theme too with how it took a few tries due to having notes in the way.

A great concept and I found it really interesting to hear the unique combinations made. Couldn't quite figure it out completely or a working strategy.
